On Saturday I will be glued on my TV with my Kenyan flag cheering on our Kenyan brother, u can do it Eliud, I feel u will break the record. Can't wait. God be with u
If you are watching this from year 3000 from mars or any other planet colonized by human in our solar system or any other solar system.....this is the greatest human being to have ran on Earth and you know what is awesome about it......it's that I was alive and watched him run....it was a great time to be alive.
Indeed Paul.. I watched his first failed attempt in Monza.. What an incredible human being.. He is an inspiration to all both in character and performance!!!
@@pepsiman9840 He's run 13 marathons and won 12 of those in the past 6 years(not including olympics and breaking 2). He made 240,000 in Berlin 2018. Distance running isn't lucrative in general but if you've won a ton of the big city marathons you will indeed be a multimillionaire.
@@toprightchannel3080 I guess youre right, but if he was a slower runner by a minute or 2 and wasn't part of the 2 hour project, he might not have been as successful financially
The most humble people on the planet with a work ethic like no other. Supporting each other into greatness. I wish the whole world could see these incredible humans. So inspiring to watch. And Eliud, I just know that this will be the year. You got this!!
He truly is the BOSS! You can see how he inspires his teammates. They respect & admire him deeply and will do everything they can to help him achieve the sub 2 time. Truly an awesome undertaking for Eliud and this Team! A genuine roll model for all people, athletes & non athletes
Thank you INEOS for this kind of motivational project. The Monza was totally about brand & product. But this time, seeing their progress really make me want to run everyday & improve.
Who is here before Kipchoge tries the INEOS 1:59 (2hr mark breaker)? Anyway People think than Marathon runners are slow. Try running that way for 2 consecutive hours and your vital organs will fail. Actually Eliud is VERY FAST. He runs a 200m race at at a speed of 20-25 km per hour. He maintains that speed for 210 consecutive times with a smile on his face. That is totally superhuman. It will be out of this world if breaks that 2.
Eliud is such an amazing human being. Also all the pacers and coaches and all that is hapenning in the backround, amazing job, I really hope this comes out as a win, not only for eliud, but for everyone around and evryone supporting. Good luck
This series is inspirational on so many levels. The challenge itself is awe-inspiring, but it's the attitude of all the protagonists in this story that sets it apart. One of the gentlemen used the expression "abnormal satisfaction" in the context of seeing the returns of an investment in society. There's a humbleness and a generosity of spirit going on here that feels like an antidote to the arrogance on display in our daily news.
Eluid Kipchoge kept me awake on this day and i am happy he broke the 2 hour barrier. He is one reason i enjoy Athletics and why am now Part of the Corparate Athletics for my organization.
Shows how humble these runners are (especially Kipchoge of course). The work and ability to do this level of running is extraordinary. I do hope the 2 hour mark is broken with plenty of room to spare. I also think in the not too distance future, Bekele is going to be right there nipping at his heals in the history books.
He lost to both the year after in the Olympics with El Guerrouj winning gold in a distance that is not his speciality. Kipchoge was still an excellent mid distance runner. It is in the marathon though where he imposed himself as the GOAT.
I will really root for Eliud, I want to overcome the milestone, to meet the deadline at 01:59:00 to set a fantastic result. I will hold my fists ✊ for Eliud. Eliud K. Russia is with you! You are a great athlete, go ahead! Good luck with god
On October 12th, every runner in the world will be holding his or her breath. For exactly 2 hours it will be as if the earth stopped rotating. Even if he breaks the world record, but does not dip under 2h, it will be the greatest athletic performance in history.
Perfect training conditions. Variety of training methods, Higher altitudes, varied terrain from track and trail and a really great team with lots of smiles!!
Are you the guy who was paced during last weeks testing weekend in Vienna? If so, can you tell me why there is a photo of you crossing the finish line with the clock showing 1:59:38 - Does that mean you have already done it? Surely not, otherwise INEOS159 challenge would not need to take place anymore.
Jamais je n'aurai pensé qu'Eliud Kipchoge aurait une telle carrière ! Sa très belle victoire au mondiaux de 2003 me paraissait être sans lendemain. Je me suis trompé. Il est de la classe de Gebre, Tergat, El Guerrouj, Bekele. Cet athlète lache rien est un génie.
Such an inspiration, really hope he breaks 2 hours. Love watching him run, he looks so relax and smooth, effortless. Yet the speed he is running at is insane, 400m is hard at his target pace, nevermind a marathon!!
The most admirable and fascinating thing about Eliud Kipchoge isn’t even that he is the fastest marathon runner in the history of the planet but that his mental strength is like nothing I’ve ever seen before.
Waiting excitedly for IT to happen. What an absolute inspiration this mind-blowing effort will be for athletics. Wishing success to Eluid & his team. Best wishes from Singapore.

The simplicity of their lives combined with their work ethic really is an inspiration to all not just runners but as individual as well.
