What really amazed me is how very little he worked with. I was expecting a huge mound of clay on the table but he began with hardened clay chips. That’s what I find amazing. Very beautiful!!
The dry clay chips are rehydrated and used only as "glue" to hold the pieces together. Once the teapot is baked in a kiln, it all becomes one piece. Glad you enjoyed the video!

And we probably saw like 2% of the real effort to convert those chips into all that clay.
Those dry clay chips came from processed purple sand minerals.
