The Wild, Wild West was my #1 pick. I used to stay up in college to watch re-runs. The remake totally ruined what made the show awesome. Jim West and Artemus Gordon were smart, capable and cool. Jim was cool on the scale of Bond. And it was NEVER campy or buffoonish, unlike the remake.
Me a my buddies used stay up late when we were in college to watch the the wild wild west at east texas state university in the mid 70s. It was part of something called "night moves" I remember a guy saying about James west " Damn if he was any cooler he'd be a brother!" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

HOW it (just barely) made it’s budget in the box office is beyond me...
Definitely Avatar: The Last Airbender's movie remake. Way to take one of the most beloved, badass, high-quality cartoons from this generation, and spend millions of dollars to make one godawful movie. (Also goes for remakes of other animated series, like Dragonball Z. But Avatar wins because it wasn't even a foreign cartoon.)
I never saw the remake of The Beverley Hillbillies, but that one scene that they showed of Granny hitting the tree makes the film so much better than the original TV series.
I saw the Beverly Hillbillies movie and have also watched the show and I liked both I didn't think the movie was bad and Jim Varney was awesome as Jed Clampette
I thought the movie was a total piece of crap. Penelope Spheeris had absolutely no understanding of what made the series funny. Or how to direct a funny comedy movie in general. The film's only saving grace is Jim Varney as Jed Clampett, and the script couldn't even get the character's famous catchphrase "Well, doggies!" right.
I loved the movie, never saw the tv show, but the movie is like my favorite comedy movies ever. And that says a lot, since I'm a huge fan of Seth Rogen and Tyler Perry, I know I'm going to get hate for Tyler Perry xD.

+Parabelle Band Actually, the narrator did point out that mishandling the source material was very much one of their considerations. Why else talk about what Dukes of Hazzard was like on tv, or the original Dark Shadows? If they were just critiquing bad movies, there wouldn't have been comparisons to the original.
well you are right on that, but the movie dragonball evolution is sadly based upon nothingness. Ignoring the fact that DBZ is based upon the comics would be more then okay in the eyes of the fans. I'de put in the top 3....
PORTSKINZ It's funny you say that, because as we all know, there exists no film adaptation of Avatar The Last Airbender. Any who say different have an invitation to Lake Laogai.
The Last Airbender, Speed Racer, Transformers, and possibly the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles... Produced by Michael Bay... staring Megan Fox as April O'Neil... yeah you can get why i think it's going to be bad.
I thought Dark Shadows was pretty good. It had the gothic touch that most vampire movies do, it had some good refrences and humor, and the story was interesting. The ending could've been better, but I enjoyed it regardless. That's just my opinion though, so yeah.
Steampunk + Western == Wild Wild West was awesome! I also REALLY liked the Miami Vice movie, even though it didn't have much in common with the TV series.
Horrible movies, but the list must go on,Watchmojo, you´ve missed another failures like Charlie´s Angels 1 & 2, GI JOE Rise of Cobra and Retaliation, The A-Team, The Green Hornet, The Lone Ranger, The Legend Of Zorro(as a bad sequel, The Mask of Zorro was really good), and the worst of them all The Last Airbender.
I agree about Dark Shadows! Making Barnabas look like Michael Jackson was bad enough but that 70's music and bad jokes killed it! Tim Burton lost whatever touch he had and he should retire already! We are tired of him and his entourage!
The Dukes of Hazzard is #1 for me. They took a nice, funny, family friendly show and trashed all over it. The Dukes were never criminals,. They were good ol' boys.
Yeah, im a huge dukes of hazzard fan and the movies were nothing short of insults to the serie! I hate the movies, they are trash..i just hope someone someday will make a real movie adaptation with the same characters as in the serie, nice, funny with good intentions...not like the stupids sex/drugs addicts in the movies
The last air bender by far was the worst and the three stooges movie was actually really good and they did an amazing job performing like the originals
Stewart Hiles No because the first Movie was a live action version of a show with marionettes not people. They also never said that they were going to do live action movies based on live action TV shows either.
Bewitched could have been so much better if they just simply remade the show. I have watched it a thousand times and it would have been perfect, like really Isabelles house is Darren and Samanthas house!
So, what kept Starsky and Hutch off of this list was a three minute cameo of David Soul and Paul Glaser. Just like I Spy, Starsky and Hutch replaced a cool 70s cop show of two men seeking justice with a campy, unfunny comedy.
I actually enjoyed Wild wild west. The other ones are spot on though. Well, land of the lost wasn't too bad, but I think that's just me because I didn't really like the original land of the lost.
The Last Airbender wasn't an anime. Also, with the exception of the Thinderbirds, all of the series were live-action, so it is understandable that they didn't include the Avatar. Not to mention that all of the source series are kinda old. But I agree with you, that movie is an abomination and it shouldn't have been made.
I bought the DVD thinking it would be awesome, it was FAR from it, i watched it for 30 mins before stopping, shitty acting, really bad VFX and CG and not even adhering to the concept of bending arts, only 'Masters' being able to control elements with each movement, regular benders have to complete a technique before the element reacts ....
***** Maybe it is a japanise term, but most often it refers to the animated series made in japan and has the very distinctive style. And you are just nitpicking.
Norbert Faller Anime has no distinctive style, go find some and see how much it varies, anime is just animation which is the same as cartoons. The only ones nitpicking are "anime fans" who are dead set on keeping anime meaning Japanese cartoons only (even though some call Korean cartoons anime because they don't research enough).
What about Dragnet with Dan Aykroyd & Tom Hanks? This movie didn't work because it's virtually impossible to make an unintentional comedy on purpose. The TV show was hilarious because of the wooden acting and incredibly corny dialogue when it was supposed to be dead serious.
RewindSlayer 1st Flintstones film had a great cast, but the script failed with a dreary, overly adult plot about corporate back-stabbing that kids couldn't relate to.
That "accidental blackface" thing in the Dukes of Hazard remake was so realistic: perfectly innocent and non-racist reason for having a blacked-up face, still get wrongly called out as racist. Ain't even racist bro
I agree with ScorchedCrow95. Could you do a similar video to this one, where it is films based on animated TV series? If so, I agree The Last Airbender is #1 on that list.
I will tell you two of mine that I was surprised were not mentioned here: Inspector Gadget with Matthew Broderick The Flintstones with John Goodman. Both of these movies do what I really, really hate in movies -- they set the movie in time time frame the movie was made, rather than the time the TV show was originally made. Inspector Gadget was especially notorious for doing this because by the time cell phones came out, there was really no need for the top-secret Gadget phone. Also, I thought it was very lame to have Brain the Dog talking (voiced by original Gadget voice Don Adams).
I was afraid for a moment that they were going to include Get Smart. It definitely wasn't an excellent remake of the series, but I enjoyed it enough and I felt that they did a pretty good job with both the characters and the plot, although they did makes a few changes that I wish they hadn't.
I liked that movie also, who could forget the "Dance Scene" , ironically, anytime they tried to use the old shtick ( Missed me by that much, and would you believe etc ) it did not go over well, the new jokes did better.
To be fair, a lot of these original shows were basically crap, it's just nostalgia raises them up in some people's mind. When that's the case all you're going to get with a remake is more crap. I mean come on "Land of Lost" while amusing for kids wasn't exactly a great show. Ditto for "Lost in Space".
@@only257 I don't know what I was talking about seven years ago but I DO actually agree. I don't really know what I was saying then, given that the "Land of the Lost" movie pissed me off for making fun of the show. I dont' know. Off day I guess. :)
Yeah 21 jump street is extremely popular. Hence the sequel that just got released, 22 jump street. Also I'm 99% sure 21 jump street is in WM.com's list of BEST movies based on TV series
arrathix x when I read your comment, I could not believe that there was a sequel to that movie, I've seen the trailer and I think it will be a new insult, if the movies take the other name would look better ...For me in particular, not like the first and definitely I do not see the second.
ya it came out when i was 15 and i liked it. same goes for dukes of hazard that came out my first year of college and it was dumb but we had fun. it may have been that we where pretty drunk when we saw it but who knows.
I would definitely say Thunderbirds, because, not only it was (and still is) one of my favourite childhood shows, the movie version ruined everything we know about it.
The scent of Bacon Yeah, but at least it tried to stuff a lot of things in that 2 hour movie. The Last Airbender looked like a completely different movie, I say it should be at number 1.
Movies with his son doesnt exist in my universe and they never will. xD They never happened, do you understand?! xD That kid is joy and talent sucker who can make any movie suck, no matter how good actors are cast for the movie .

It's pretty funny that Will Smith turned down the role of Neo in the Matrix to do the Wild Wild West. Which, works out I guess because I can't imagine anyone but Keanu Reeves in that role
Jack Daniels I always hear people moaning about Reeve's acting ability, but i'm not sure at what point in the Matrix he was meant to Burst out laughing/ break down crying/ go crazy. He played a guy with a mind like a computer- I think the guy needs cut some slack :)
hamsterminator I didn't insult his acting ability at all. I said Norton's ability was better so why your upset over me insulting reeves when i didn't is pointless.
I think it was supposed to just be adaptations of live-action TV series. I know the Last Airbender was live-action, too, but the source material was not.
10: I liked Thunderbirds but thought that Anthony Edwards was underutilized. 9: Dear Tim Burton, Stop putting your wife in everything. Signed, Everyone. 8: Lost in Space had potential and wasn't that bad. 7: The Honeymooners doesn't work without Jackie Gleason. 6: Eddie Murphy should have quit while he was ahead. 5: Perhaps a better writer was required here. Like maybe somebody who actually watched the show. 4: It could have been worse. 3: It could have been better. 2: While nowhere close to the source material, this movie was actually pretty good. Will Smith and Kevin Kline are great together. 1: Poor Sean Connery. He's too good an actor to have this on his résumé.
Would people please lay of hating on "Dark Shadow". No, it's not that good of a movie, yes it has issues but no, it's not a terrible movie. People just take it way too seriously. I rather enjoy it. It's good for a few simple, light laughs and that's all I want out of it.
I never knew they made a movie of Dark Shadows but I have seen the 60's show & also the 90's tv show as well but as far as the movie even though I never seen it I can tell by this it sucked ass
Brendan Morrow Both Wes Anderson and Tim Burton are very good directors with great style. However, Tim Burton is obviously on his lows. He hasn't done anything good recently except of Frankenweenie. Anderson is on his highs, he is an excellent and very unique director, with a style that is really hard to replicate. I don't know exactly what your problem with him is, but I'm very interested in your opinion.
'Bewitched'-- haha criticizing the movie for being hackneyed? The tv show was the same plot every week: The Boss gives darren an assignment, he screws it up, Sam's witch family adds some hilarity, Sam's almost discovered to be a witch, and she saves darren's job in the end. There i just wrote 10 episodes. But even at my young age i knew Elizabeth Montgomery was Hot.
I would have definitely thought that The Last Airbender film would be their. As well as Dragon Ball Evolution. Both ripped the very shows I love to shreds. Worst TV show to movie adaptions EVER!!!!
I love the people in the comments who disagree, solely on the basis that they enjoyed it. Just because you enjoy something, doesn't mean it's good. People seem to think that their enjoyment is what dictates the quality of something.
Then what dictates the quality? The invisible standards of society that are just there like the laws of physics? Or the people who watched the film? Or someone who made a top 10 list based on their own opinion?
lobsterlord2 Don't be stupid. There are things in film that can be objectively measured. Acting, special effects, originality, cogent writing, etc. One's enjoyment has no bearing whatsoever on such things. The same thing goes for other forms of entertainment, such as video games or music. They all have qualities that can be objectively measured. 'I liked it, therefore it's good' is not an argument. It's superficial, empty reasoning. I, for example, could list plenty of things that are good, but I don't enjoy them (simply because they're not my personal preference). And, vice-versa, I could name plenty of things that I _do_ enjoy (simply because my preferences can make me biased), but I don't consider them good.
Joe Majewski What? How the hell did my post give you that impression? That's the very antithesis to my reasoning. One's enjoyment, or lack thereof, does not determine the quality of something.
***** Are you actually fucked in the head or do I need to spell it out for you? The standards of which a film is deemed "good" is all a matter of opinion. What you may consider good writing, acting, special effects, originality, etc, could be considered complete shit to another person as it is a part of literature. These qualities that can be objectively measured, who sets their standards? Obviously it's what society has perceived to be good and/or bad, but who is 1 person to speak for society? Nobody, we all speak our mind and society grasps our thoughts, you are but a single person speaking through your ass trying to make a point that belittles others simply because their opinion on what makes a movie "good" is different than yours. Go fuck yourself for trying to pretend you're the voice for society.
I did as well. The first half of the movie is a lot of fun. After the planet crash, it gets pretty dumb, but everything before that is more than enough to keep it off this list.
What about Get Smart, The Flintstones films, Maverick, Avatar: The Last Airbender should SOOOOOO be on this list!!! Dudley Do-Right, Space Jam, Michael BAy's Transformers, Star Trek: Insurrection
_Star Trek: Insurrection_ doesn't fit the criteria they laid down: the film has to be a remake or reboot of the TV series and not a theatrical continuation with the same actors reprising their roles.
I disagree with WM about them purposely recasting Jim West as an African American. Had Will Smith not accepted the role, they likely would have gone with a White actor. I think they cast Will no a black guy.
How about The Last Airbender!!! That movie was horrible and didn't follow the source material. I thought it would at least get an honorable mention or something. Does anyone else agree?
I agree completely about Dukes Of Hazzard although I would add two other facts 1-The casting of Burt Reynolds-6' and muscular v 5' and portly- as Boss Hogg has to be the biggest bit of miscasting in movie history(why didn't they hire Danny Devito for example.)2 making Rossco psychotic. Also the Sweeney which was set in seventies London with Ford Cortinas and wallies talkies did not translate well to modern technology eg computers and mobile phones. I'd love a Quantum Leap big screen movie but to me these TV based movies prove that movie makers make TOO many silly big changes to the spirit of old TV shows and I would rather have a new series of Quantum Leap on TV or at least a TV movie.
Gani Ibraimi So what? Name one. It does not excuse the fact that it didn't stick to the original format. At least with Dukes of Hazzard and A-Team (Also terrible remakes) they mirrored the TV counterparts, where the comedy was concerned. Starsky and hutch went from serious to comedy.
It was an ABC daytime soap opera. I was able to get off the school bus and watch about the last 15 minutes. When school, was out, my day revolved around watching Dark Shadows in the afternoon.
Are you refering to the "Cat Orgy" episode of South Park? This was the one when Cartman was playing Wild Wild West when Shelly was baby sitting him during a meteor shower.
I always thought of Wild Wild Wast as one of those, "so entertaining over-the-top and stupid they're good" movies. No one could possibly take that movie seriously XD.
CHiPS, Baywatch, Green Hornet, 21 Jumpstreet, GI Joe, Inspector Gadget, Masters of the Universe, Dragnet, Transformers (Michael Bay), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (any of them made after the 1990 one), Speed Racer....to name a few

I am genuinely surprised from the absence of The Last Airbender.

well you are right on that, but the movie dragonball evolution is sadly based upon nothingness.
Wasn't The Flintstones adapted into a movie?
Man as much as I like John Goodman, those movies were awful
Two Flintstones movies were made. The first made money. The second bombed.
The Green Hornet is a notable omission of a terrible adaptation, as well.
It was beyond horrible.
I hate Seth Rogan for what he did with The Green Hornet 🤬🤬🤬
I forgot about this horrible disaster. Affer about 15 minutes I turned it off.
Dragon Ball Evolution and The Last Airbender should be here.
For number 1 and number 1.. OH GOD!!
I'm not a fan of either series but yeah, how could I forget? Ooh, and also the Flinstones
I'm surprised the A-Team didn't get an honourable mention at least
The Last Airbender, Speed Racer, Transformers, and possibly the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles... Produced by Michael Bay... staring Megan Fox as April O'Neil... yeah you can get why i think it's going to be bad.
Last airbender was made by m night shamalan you moron
Gabriel gustafson he wasnt talking about the last airbender, he was talking about the new teenage mutant ninja turtle movie coming out, you moron
Gabriel gustafson Read the comment again then say who the moron is.
Gabriel gustafson The last part of his comment was meant only for TMNT, unless you thought April O'Neil was in all those movies too...
wait a second... there's going to be a new TMNT movie? damn I loved the animated one as a child...
10 Video Games that could be made into Movies
A few years after making it, Will Smith actually apologized directly to Robert Conrad for messing up Wild Wild West.
I thought Dark Shadows was pretty good. It had the gothic touch that most vampire movies do, it had some good refrences and humor, and the story was interesting. The ending could've been better, but I enjoyed it regardless. That's just my opinion though, so yeah.
I enjoyed parts of it. I wouldn't say I liked it, but I do think it receives more hate than it deserves.
Raving Rando Fair enough.
I agree. I like this movie.
You're right about lone ranger
I think Lone Ranger was a comic before it was a TV show
Scarfaceman77 No it was a radio show first. It may have been a comic but i dunno
oh god, A team was horrible
Curiosity017 Thank you for correcting me.
I agree about Dark Shadows! Making Barnabas look like Michael Jackson was bad enough but that 70's music and bad jokes killed it! Tim Burton lost whatever touch he had and he should retire already! We are tired of him and his entourage!
Whoever thought it would be a good idea to remake the Honnymooners should be working at Burger King.
The Lone Ranger and The Last Airbender should have at least gotten honorable mentions.
(Dis) honourable
Ayah Baroudi Touche
so should have Dragon Ball Z anyway
HONORABLE MENTIONS?!? No last air bender should have been 1
Kennedy Boston Hence why I added the term "AT LEAST"!
Erick Gaudreault the series wishes it was half as good as the movie but will never be in a million years
MsDoctorWhoFan1 because making illegal moonshine isn't a crime...
Benjamin, if you really think that the serie is bad and that the movies are better...you really, and i mean REALLY dont know shit about cinema! Lolll
I liked the movie but i havent seen the tv series
This list is spot-on. What about Starsky and Hutch and Charlie's Angels?
Avatar: The Last Airbender should be number one
Last Airbender should be tied at #1 with Dragon Ball (The *Live Action* movie)
Exactly, that movie was so bad, it have me cancer
They did one for cartoons and Avatar and Dragon Ball were 1 and 2
Kamryn Gray Oh, well then. I say *Star Trek Into Darkness* should be #1 then ;P
That movie was a failed abortion
Team America World Police had more in common with Thunderbirds than Thunderbirds (2004)
Where is Starsky and Hutch? It sucked worse than Wild Wild West.
It's on their top 10 best movies based on tv shows
Starsky and Hutch was actually pretty decent...
I preferred Dukes of Hazard to Starsky and Hutch, and my dad would get me to watch both if they were ever on tv. He also got me watching the A-Team.
nah wild wild west was a lot worse
They made STARSKY AND HUTCH into a movie? Never knew that.
The last air bender by far was the worst and the three stooges movie was actually really good and they did an amazing job performing like the originals
No mention of the live-action Scooby-Doo movie? I was waiting for it to take the number 1 spot.
I think the criteria was these movies were based on live action TV shows, not cartoons. Otherwise, the Dragon Ball Z movie would be at the very top.
they said live action otherwise i also would've been disappointed
Stewart Hiles No because the first Movie was a live action version of a show with marionettes not people. They also never said that they were going to do live action movies based on live action TV shows either.
Eric Cartman Where is it?
Aah, got it. They did say "We're referring to live-action remakes", so I heard that as the remake being live-action and not necessarily the TV show.
Bewitched could have been so much better if they just simply remade the show. I have watched it a thousand times and it would have been perfect, like really Isabelles house is Darren and Samanthas house!
I agree. What they did was awful. Nicole Kidman was cast right in the movie though.
I believe I speak for more than a few people when I ask: Where the hell is The last airbender?
lol dbz as well but think this was for live action series
I was wondering the same thing.
I think they were only doing live action TV shows.
Don't forget Dragonball Evolution
and the dragon ball evolution movie
So, what kept Starsky and Hutch off of this list was a three minute cameo of David Soul and Paul Glaser. Just like I Spy, Starsky and Hutch replaced a cool 70s cop show of two men seeking justice with a campy, unfunny comedy.
I actually enjoyed Wild wild west. The other ones are spot on though. Well, land of the lost wasn't too bad, but I think that's just me because I didn't really like the original land of the lost.
I was surprised the Avatar movie from the anime series Avatar the last airbender, wasn't top 1
CazRaX
Pretty much this. Anime is short for animēshiyon (Japanese) which is obviously derived from the English "animation".
Hey I liked wild wild west!! The last Airbender should be number 1!
Me too!
Dbz #1
Should have been called "The Last AirBiscuit"
What about Dragnet with Dan Aykroyd & Tom Hanks? This movie didn't work because it's virtually impossible to make an unintentional comedy on purpose. The TV show was hilarious because of the wooden acting and incredibly corny dialogue when it was supposed to be dead serious.
They could add My Favorite Martian, Sgt. Bilko, Car 54 Where Are You?, Speed Racer, and both Flintstones films.
jlovebirch Sgt Bilko and the first Flinstones film was very well done. I do agree the second Flinstones was utter crap
RewindSlayer 1st Flintstones film had a great cast, but the script failed with a dreary, overly adult plot about corporate back-stabbing that kids couldn't relate to.
jlovebirch And then Mr. I don't know what a prequel is directed the prequel/sequel and makes the first one look amazing.
jlovebirch: Have been looking for someone else that didn't like Car 54. It has to be one of the worst movies I have ever seen.
jlovebirch I loved Peed racer movie!!! I want a sequel.
What about The Last Airbender movie? That was brutal.
The last airbender is not a live action series.
I completely forgot... how did they not mention that train wreck...?
That "accidental blackface" thing in the Dukes of Hazard remake was so realistic: perfectly innocent and non-racist reason for having a blacked-up face, still get wrongly called out as racist. Ain't even racist bro
No, but they could get called out for the Confederate flag painted on the roof of their car named after the Confederacy's most famous general.
But if you complain about "White Chicks", just… shut up. WTF?
I agree with ScorchedCrow95. Could you do a similar video to this one, where it is films based on animated TV series? If so, I agree The Last Airbender is #1 on that list.
Where's The Last Airbender? You never said the TV show had to be live action, you just said that the movie had to be live action.
if you want to go into that territory, dragonball evolution
How come The airbender did not make it to this list?
TRUE AS FUCK MAN!!
IM SAYING!!
they siad its the worsts movie of all time
Ya it don't make sence
That should've been high on the list
I'm glad that most of the top comments are about The Last Airbender.
Of course, why is it not on here?
Hey, I like the Beverly Hillbillies and Three Stooges movies.
Oh, so you're the one.
dragonball evolution? the worst movie off a tv show of all time!
oh, and the last airbender
Melanie Uon all animations.
pretty much, mr. tony stark :)
I will tell you two of mine that I was surprised were not mentioned here:
Inspector Gadget with Matthew Broderick
The Flintstones with John Goodman.
The original Flintstones movie was ok. The subsequent sequels were god awful. But inspector gadget was a disgrace
3:59 That's not from _The Honeymooners,_ that's Reginald van Gleason III from _The Jackie Gleason Show._
To be fair, a lot of these original shows were basically crap, it's just nostalgia raises them up in some people's mind. When that's the case all you're going to get with a remake is more crap. I mean come on "Land of Lost" while amusing for kids wasn't exactly a great show. Ditto for "Lost in Space".
seriously come on land of the lost was a great tv show and lost in space is a great tv show thunderbirds was a great 60s tv show
@@only257 I don't know what I was talking about seven years ago but I DO actually agree.
I don't really know what I was saying then, given that the "Land of the Lost" movie pissed me off for making fun of the show.
I dont' know. Off day I guess. :)
21 jumpstreet remake is a insult to tv series fans...I don´t know how Jhony Deep make the cameo in that
Uh the movie is widely liked is why
Yeah 21 jump street is extremely popular. Hence the sequel that just got released, 22 jump street. Also I'm 99% sure 21 jump street is in WM.com's list of BEST movies based on TV series
arrathix x when I read your comment, I could not believe that there was a sequel to that movie, I've seen the trailer and I think it will be a new insult, if the movies take the other name would look better ...For me in particular, not like the first and definitely I do not see the second.
utubegirl if you were a fan of the show, sure you will remember that the chapters of the McQuaid brothers were great!
Um....why? It was awesome!!!!
Wild wild west was actually pretty good in my opinion.
WHen I was younger me and my brother watched the VHS so many times it broke
ya it came out when i was 15 and i liked it. same goes for dukes of hazard that came out my first year of college and it was dumb but we had fun. it may have been that we where pretty drunk when we saw it but who knows.
Damn Son, where did you get that mastery badge?
I would definitely say Thunderbirds, because, not only it was (and still is) one of my favourite childhood shows, the movie version ruined everything we know about it.
Aw... I actually liked Thunderbirds as a kid. Man, so many of my favorite movies sucked.
The Last Airbender should have been up there. That shit ruined me.
*ahem* and dragon ball evolution
That movie single handedly ruined 9years of my life
The scent of Bacon
Yeah, but at least it tried to stuff a lot of things in that 2 hour movie. The Last Airbender looked like a completely different movie, I say it should be at number 1.
It was a sucky show 2
I have a feeling that "Worst Movies Based on Cartoons" will be the next list.
Yep, instead of Dark Shadows for example ;)
I loved and still love Wild Wild West. Any movie with Will Smith cant be bad! XD
After Earth?
The list is long after after earth
Movies with his son doesnt exist in my universe and they never will. xD They never happened, do you understand?! xD
That kid is joy and talent sucker who can make any movie suck, no matter how good actors are cast for the movie .
Unless it's Shark Tale.
BDWJ1986 Like Nic Cage, either his movie is great or terrible.

@@Ravendarkwytch It was a TV movie, it was not released theatrically
Where's the last Air bender?
Also Dragonball.
reviewthis18 AWanderingSoul they were on another list
Their not meant to be based on the original story. Air bender was based on the original story.
Yeah
Airbender and Dragonball weren't TV series. They were cartoons.
It's pretty funny that Will Smith turned down the role of Neo in the Matrix to do the Wild Wild West. Which, works out I guess because I can't imagine anyone but Keanu Reeves in that role
I love Will but I'm glad he turned down that role. Keanu did a hell of a job.
Really I thought Edward Norton would be perfect he has the same body shape and has a greater acting ability than reeves.
Jack Daniels I always hear people moaning about Reeve's acting ability, but i'm not sure at what point in the Matrix he was meant to Burst out laughing/ break down crying/ go crazy. He played a guy with a mind like a computer- I think the guy needs cut some slack :)
Jack Daniels I thought Reeves was perfect for the role.
hamsterminator I didn't insult his acting ability at all. I said Norton's ability was better so why your upset over me insulting reeves when i didn't is pointless.
How could you forget the last airbender!
It's good for a few simple, light laughs and that's all I want out of it.
no, people should not stop in a movie as idiotic from a director as overrated as tim burton
Murcia doxial pretty sure you're describing wes anderson ^
I never knew they made a movie of Dark Shadows but I have seen the 60's show & also the 90's tv show as well but as far as the movie even though I never seen it I can tell by this it sucked ass
Brendan Morrow Both Wes Anderson and Tim Burton are very good directors with great style. However, Tim Burton is obviously on his lows. He hasn't done anything good recently except of Frankenweenie. Anderson is on his highs, he is an excellent and very unique director, with a style that is really hard to replicate. I don't know exactly what your problem with him is, but I'm very interested in your opinion.
no last airbender?
you said avatar the last air bender is the worst movie of all time and don't put it on the list does this make sence to any one
anime/cartoon is not same as TV series.
You missed the unbelievable sadism towards Gladys Kravitz. One quick spell and she notices nothing. Instead they make her crazy.
I love wild wild west. The razor head neckless things were supercool
I would have definitely thought that The Last Airbender film would be their. As well as Dragon Ball Evolution. Both ripped the very shows I love to shreds. Worst TV show to movie adaptions EVER!!!!
Well, I can't tell that no one at WatchMojo ever saw Dragon Ball Z.
...seriously, it makes Shamalans version of The last air bender look good xD
Yeah I was sitting here the whole time waiting for both of them to be on this list... But they never came :(
mikecheck237 I guess there are some things best forgotten -'J
mikecheck237
They did a list on worst movies based on cartoons with DB Evolution at number 5 and Last Airbender at number 1
Well they said tv shows not cartoons so I guess its a list for another day lol
the list was last year back in Januray of 2013
The common denominator for failures of remakes is...grid. It made money then, so now it can make money for us.
So because you didn't enjoy these movies they are of poor quality?
lobsterlord2 Don't be stupid.
I actually enjoy Lost in Space.
It was cheesy fun. Gary Oldman as Doctor Smith is amazing.
The Netflix series is better
I did as well. The first half of the movie is a lot of fun. After the planet crash, it gets pretty dumb, but everything before that is more than enough to keep it off this list.
i thought it was ok, but nothing great. i haven't seen it in over 20 years, though.
@@captcrais101 It is, save for Doctor Smith IMHO. She's just painfully annoying in an otherwise incredible series.
I agree with the Flinstones, Avatar, Transformers, and I never saw the Get Smart movie because I like the TV show too much
Am i only one who likes Wild Wild West?
Alan Palgut lol xD
I disagree with WM about them purposely recasting Jim West as an African American. Had Will Smith not accepted the role, they likely would have gone with a White actor. I think they cast Will no a black guy.
Naissus Digital I also enjoyed it when I was a kid. I enjoyed the Will Smith soundtrack song as well.
I liked it, thought The Mod Squad was good as well.
love wild wild west
How about The Last Airbender!!! That movie was horrible and didn't follow the source material. I thought it would at least get an honorable mention or something. Does anyone else agree?
I agree, but it seems they were focused on live action shows in this one.
I truly thought The Last Airbender was going to be number one
I agree
IKR I totally thought it was going to be number one!
TheOtakuWisher It's on the top 10 worst live-action movies based on cartoons video. And it's also ranked as #1.
hey! the three stooges wasn't that bad..
Honestly, I thought it was too childish
Why I oughta........
GuitarGuy the stooges were always that way
It was annoying as hell.
Wait that got hate? Why?
I've never seen "dark shadows" but the clips you show actually make it seem pretty good imo.
+bob loblaw Be warned, there are trailers that make movies look good, just look at STAR WARS Episode I: The Phantom Menace.
yeah, I liked it too.
yubk
I loved Dark Shadows, even though I've never seen the TV series.
+bob loblaw Neither have I. I only about it via an episode of Gilmore Girls of all things.
The Starsky and Hutch remake was just dredful. It got remade as a comedy instead of an action packed police drama.
A BIG disappointment.
Starsky And Hutch is my favourite comedy movie it wasnt a dissapointed in fact is one of the best movie based on tv series
Roger Haywood I couldn't agree with you more. Hollywood is destroying the classics
Gani Ibraimi
The original was not a comedy, so why was the remake?
+Roger Haywood a lot of remakes became comedies so ...
Gani Ibraimi
So what? Name one. It does not excuse the fact that it didn't stick to the original format.
At least with Dukes of Hazzard and A-Team (Also terrible remakes) they mirrored the TV counterparts, where the comedy was concerned. Starsky and hutch went from serious to comedy.
Lost in Space is worth a watch simply for Gary Oldman's glorious scenery-chewing.
I didn't know Dark Shadows was based on a series, and personally I loved it. Still, each to their own.
It was an ABC daytime soap opera. I was able to get off the school bus and watch about the last 15 minutes. When school, was out, my day revolved around watching Dark Shadows in the afternoon.
Wild Wild West's ticket sales came from theater hopping kids too young to get into South Park
Are you refering to the "Cat Orgy" episode of South Park? This was the one when Cartman was playing Wild Wild West when Shelly was baby sitting him during a meteor shower.
What about the Last Airbender?
it was in cartoon to live action. Number one thank God:) check it out if you hated that movie too!
Where's either of the Charlie's Angels movies? And I honestly would have put "Starsky and Hutch" on here too.
Charlie's Angels 2 was sooo bad, just terrible
SIKIOANGO I didn't see all of the second one, but enough of the crappy parts. The first one was stupid too.
And Wild Wild West was a great movie!
Said no one ever
I always thought of Wild Wild Wast as one of those, "so entertaining over-the-top and stupid they're good" movies. No one could possibly take that movie seriously XD.
Huh?
awesome movie
five5x
I agree, even though I thought the movie was okay. The chemistry between Will Smith and Kevin Kline was awful.
I quite like Green Hornet.
