As I watched that game though, I could not help but get swepted up the the performance that Vince put on in that game. by about mid 4th quarter, I was pretty much just saying "alright go ahead and win it Vince, you deserve it since you are pretty much doing this on your own". This may have been the greatest matchup and game I've ever seen. Almost a close tie between this and Boise State and OU Fiesta Bowl.
i wouldn't even say for sure that texas was more prepared. if there had been 2 more minutes on the clock, who knows? what an incredible experience it was to be at that game. a year like this where there will be a 1-loss team playing a 2-loss team for the championship i think fans of both usc and texas should be happy we had such an amazing game that year. we might never see a game like that again. #1 and #2 all year culminating in one of the best college football games of all time.

They had the best college player of his generation in VY (who was also an underrated NFL player who won two thirds of his games with a bad Titans team), and a stable of talented running backs led by future NFL star Jamaal Charles. They had an extremely fast defense with an NFL secondary and linebackers who ran 4.5s across the board.

Honestly they really should have won that game. They were about to score with Colt McCoy in the game and then the injury occured. The backup was horrible in the first half and by the time they attempted to pull off a comeback in the fourth, it was too late. After the game, Colt McCoy's interview was very humbling for all of us.

Here's what messes me up about this movie... Leinart got picked off once, but there are multiple highlights of him getting intercepted. First it looks like one of the Griffin brothers gets one at like 1:55, then someone else picks him at 3:08. Either way, and as ridiculous as it sounds, keeping that team to 38 points was none too shabby.

USC had 10 points in the first half. USC trailed at the half 16-10. A pivotal play to shift the momentum was Bush's silly fumble after a long run.
