Hi 👋, Todd, I love the DEUCE, I have just purchased 2003 my second, I paid in the UK £5000, but it seeds some work on it , my first one I purchased new in 2000, £14,600 + some extras, I had to sell it in 2019, it’s got 48,000+ miles on the clock, and had a serious amount of work done to it, big bore kit cams ignition, 2in1 1550 , considering the amount of miles, I have done on it, mainly riding through Europe to many many rallies, the bike was in immaculate condition, Sadly, in 2019, I had been scammed by my ex female partner, i’m five years down the line. I’ve just managed to get some money together and purchased one again, I’m looking forward to getting back on the bike, I’m actually in my 70s, I’ve been riding Harleys since 1994/5, and I passed my test three weeks after my 17th birthday, 1969, and for many years I had written Norton commandos, triumph, Bonneville, , And around 19 72,73, I owned a Norton dominator chopper, it was a bit of a beast, It looks like you have some nice bikes, ride safe,
@@HuntingHarleys That You, I have got to do some research into it back firing through HSR 42 Carb , the Carb was blocked, I have stripped it down and rebuilt, but it is slightly better, I have removed the plugs and they are very badly Sooted up , even looking inside the plug hole, the piston is very badly built up of soot , the bike has done 49,000 miles roughly, and I presume by the way it is running and what I have seen so far it has not been looked after very well, have you any comments please?,
Marvel mystery oil, a splash in each tank will help with that carbon. However, you might find the top end too far gone and need to rebuild it. Personally I highly recommend a top end.
@@HuntingHarleys okay thank you for your help, I will let you know what I find, I am in the process of laying new concrete floor in work shop, it will probably be a month or so before I can start working on my bike, thank you, Phil from the moulin France.
Beautiful bike ! My Son went through a 1980 Honda Cb900c, ten speed, air ride, shaft driven, rubber mounted motor, transmission ect . One of the most ahead of its time motorcycle ever built ! Old motorcycles are the way to go. You said 33,000 miles and the old Honda is about 22,000 miles. That bike looks great.!👍🇺🇸
Nice looking bike. She looks like someone took good care of her over the years. You’re so right about everyone wanting one when they first came out. All of the dealers were marking them up way over the original price. I’m sure she’ll go fast at that price.
Hey Todd, I never thought you'll ever be selling - or just dealing with - Twincams. Time passes quick and the first ones are reaching close to classic status that's true. Nice bike though, and it was great to see you after so long.
understood. but even the stock setup could exceed the runout limit. There are build videos that explain this in more detail. Just a friendly FYI. BTW, it is a nice looking bike.@@HuntingHarleys
Never liked the Deuce. I put it in the same category as the Rocker and Rocker C. Someone likes them though. Good luck! Did you finally sell that customized Springer?
Hey Todd. Long time fan of your vids. Looking for first Harley im a big guy 6'3 260. What would you suggest? Dyna, softail, one of the touring models, etc. I'm drawn to softail standards and older dyna wide glides myself.
Any softtail you like the looks of. If you're all legs, put some extended forward controls on it. Whatever bars you're comfortable with. I do have a EVO crate motor softtail with tall apes that would fit you, only $3500 661 904 8512
Todd tried sending you an email to your listed address and comes back undeliverable. I just saw your video and I want that Deuce if she's still available. I have CASH. I'll call the listed phone # tomorrow...just hope it's current..if not I'll be bummed. Don - Las Cruces, NM
@@HuntingHarleys OK COOLEST!!! THAT WAS A REALLY NICE ONE!!! FOR AN EXCEPTIONAL PRICE. MY BUDDY SOLD ME HIS FXDWG. HE LIKES THE DUECE SO I’M LOOKING OUT FOR HIM. HE REALLY LOOKED OUT FOR ME💪🏽
It's called 1st year, highly collectable, not just another "Fatboy" where this is "just another Duece". Now if it was a 2003 with a Screaming Eagle package... different bike. Different world, different price
@@HuntingHarleys I mentioned the fatty cus I have a 99 with evo, and I know someone with a bike like your saleing and he was asking much more for his bike

On behalf of all your followers. Thank you for uploading with your shirt on. 😂
Funny 😁
Beautiful bike. I'm a shovelhead guy myself - but the Deuce was my favorite of the (what I call) New-age Harleys.
Its good to hear your out riding. Wishing you two the best in 2024

I don't think I've owned 5 twin cams... but when they fall into my lap cheap enough
You look sharp to!
Man! Clean scooter!
Good buy looks nice
5k!! u can't beat that wit a stick!! wish I had money!
I think that was the last year of welded crank. And should have low runout so gear drive is a distinct possibility.
2002 was the last of the welded crank. I have a 2002 FXDL. Also has the Timken bottom end. 2003 they went to a pressed crank.👍
gear drive camset depends on runout of the crank, there is a limit.
I've never worked on these. This is not a strocler

Hey man on a twin cam bike like that how much does it cost to put big cams in that bike
No idea
5000.plus tax to start.
In new zealand we would be paying 15k to posibly 18k for that
Yep. The very fact the US Dollar exchange is so high has caused overseas to stop buying thus crashing our prices
@@HuntingHarleys your correct about the exchange rate Todd,it's probably why alot of people outside the USA aren't buying
No one's buying outside the USA at the moment unless they get it stupid cheap
It's the same here in Croatia. 🫤
