Great video I just ordered this after seeing your video and a couple other reviews. I also have the T-GT to mount it too. Many reviewers comment on the rubber grips and say you need gloves, I have some red hockey tape I may use instead of gloves. Also you can mount a cellphone and use an app like RS Dash or SIM Dashboard to "complete" the look and give you real time telemetry. You can bolt it right up to where the Thrustmaster cover is at the top of the wheel.
Is it compatible with the thrust master 458 wheel

GametechUK does it work on the Logitech g29?
To expensive now, not worth the money.
With the paddles moving together it is a f1 design and it reduces weight as well
In the 'Controls, Vibration and FFB' menu in the game you can change the assignments of each button, like the DRS button for your DRS, for example
Glad too see you getting into F1. Your channel deserves to grow. I'm a pad user but if I do eventually get a wheel this or something similar would be my preference. Keep up the good work GTUK

Just got the Thrustmaster Open Wheel add-on for my T300 RS GT.. fantastic wheel. I'm really happy with it .

I've ordered the F1 wheel over the open wheel purely for the amount of buttons.
What kind of gloves do you use because I can literally get no grip with the ones I used and I'm so much slower now

He’s probably not an F1 fan, and he’s not used to the sound of the shifting rpms.
If your hands are getting grubby because of the rubber grips, use racing gloves! helps with grip and with keeping the wheel nice and clean!

Great video!!! It's an amazing steering wheel. The moment you set up the buttons like it should be, it's really fun. I bought the combi box with the headset and playseat. Soo mutch fun. I use it also tot play GT for some cars. (BMW M6, lmp cars, ...) As for the rubber on the F1 steering wheel, i use gloves. With gloves it get rid of sticky of sweaty hands. It gives another grip and mutch nicer for your hands and racing. I had problems with my t300 RS gt. Fan problems and noise. Today i got a new updated version and i hope it's stays like that otherwise i'm changing tot Fanatec.

Does rotary switch work fine for you? I cant change ERS from 0 to 5 fast. I have to do it one step at a time slowly.
That's because of the game, not the wheel, i have it mapped to a button on a different wheel but spamming it doesn't work unfortunaly

So this is just plug and play? I have a ps4 and some ppl are saying once you swap the wheel out to the f1 wheel you have to configure it to work was this the case for you did you have to update or add any firmware after you installed the wheel??

This is a stand alone wheel for an existing Thrustmaster wheel base, such as the T300,500 or TGT.
For the control scheme I play in pc so I don’t know what is what. If you could tell me that’s would be great 👍🏻

This is a wheel addon, to go on your already purchased wheel base. Most steering wheel packages comes with pedals anyway.
Thinking of buying a Logitech g920 on sale for Xbox, are the wheels are big step up from controllers?, Preparing myself for truckdriver/bus sim to :).
Once you get a wheel and an ideal place to fix it you will never look back.

TheTriggerfinger999 : I have the G920 and its worth every penny. For the first year I used a table but be ready for the brake pressure on the pedal. Until you get a rig you will have to lower your deadzones for most games. I bought the GT Omega ART and it really completed the whole setup.
It’s sad that instead of putting a rev light bar, they decided to put their logo😂
A rev light would of been fantastic.

What would your top 3 console SIM racing games?..I have ordered f12019, Forza 7...I am thinking maybe pc2 or assetto Corsa?
Top 3 would have to be GT Sport, Race Room on the PC and quite a few would have to fight for third place, but Forza 7 is actually pretty good.

Thrustmaster F1 or Thrustmaster open wheel?
ERN Felipe i got both rims at home. the open wheel feels much more worthy cause of the metal body and the alcantara. but for me the f1 wheel feels better to drive cause of the thinner handbars and the „dif“ and „chrg“ buttons which arent supportet at the open wheel.
you can order both. test them and only keep the one you like more.

Someone help me please, he said you need to learn the bindings on console because it's plug and play, but on the Codemasters games there is an option to customise them, isn't it possible with this add on?
Yeah you can customise. My point is there isnt the usual triangle or X buttons logo. So whatever control scheme you will have to memorise.

@@haribomcclelland840 this is only a rim add on to use it you need a compatible wheel base. You can drive without peddles using the buttons on the rim but I wouldn’t recommend it unless your legs are disableded
