    Do you log for a company or r u independent? I love ur skidder my pap had a 230 D that we got but the water ran down the shifter while it sat for many years and froze the transmission and the forward reverser he passed away 10 years ago and it’s sat for 13 years. Only thing it’s got them god awfully big flotation tires on it and not the narrow ones

    I’ve noticed you almost always bore cut into the face cut and leave hinge on outside. I’ve seen that done on high value walnut and such to limit fiber pull. Are there other reasons to do it?

    • @olskoolloggin9761
      @olskoolloggin9761  4 роки тому +1

      Some of the old timers in my part of the world called that “match cutting”. I always figure the less time you spend walking around a tree the better. Enjoy watching, I’m too clumsy not to wear leggings though.

    Chainsaws cut better when the chain is pulling & not pushing, plus the chain rakers have been filed too far down, stroker sounded awesome tho!

    Huskies and detroits both scream loud but when you were felling that tree, I thought he ain't afraid to cut the rackers down! Where you had the gopro setup was curious, looking at that vine healed into the bark of that small tree in the window and had got so tight that it wasn't getting any bigger. I was amazed how it had held on over the growth of that tree. Not much left on that slope.
