Miss Posey wakes up around 4am (every morning) and like the little vampire she is she bites my toes to wake me up so I can make her breakfast. #Life with the nocturnal# 🐾🌜
Ha! She’s so cute. I love possums too. I’ve had 5 over the years and my first one, Willow, was a female and the other 4 have all been males. But Willow was probably the sweetest of all of them (although I love each one as much as the others). It’s funny how everyone who adopts a possum for one reason or another end up falling in love with these little fur balls. I can’t live without em now. I hate that they only live for 2-4 years typically. 😢
So cute!! I used to feed families of them every night with huge dog bowls of food and water. They'd take their turn after the racoon families were done. Occasionally babies would end up inside, I even found one in my closet sitting in my clothes😅 ( we'd leave the door open a crack for our cat) After 3 days in a row I got the little guy to an oppossum rescue. They were always friendly, they never hiss unless it's justified, and are wonderful for your yard. Sadly so much construction around my area over the years and they both have gone and I miss them. Thank you to all who are kind to these docile sweet babies 😊
@@lunajune5233 thats wonderful! opposums are actually great pets...very intelligent and sweet and can even be potty trained to use a litter box. Its sad they don't live very long though. I wish it was legal in my state to own one but my bengal cat would get jealous anyway she is a spoiled Queen of sheeba cat hehe

I use to feed the possums all the time as a kid and adult at my old house. They eventually got use to us. I don't understand why many people think opossums are hideous and carry rabies smh. So much ignorance! opossums are marsupials and they are freaking beautiful creaturesl!!!

Awe, I have them in my basement , fire 2 years the mother brings them at about 70 so days and leaves them in the duct work. They so cute. I started opening the door, so they wouldn't be trapped inside. I have 3 coming upstairs I'm feeding, they are getting curious of me. One my husband named Opie, that I change to Opium, my favorite perfume. Lol
@@lunajune5233 they love fruit,... especially grapes and bananas ...i watched an opossum ASMR where she was eating her birthday meal it was cute to watch cuz i am not super into the asmr thing hehe
my best friend's dog recently passed away in a horrible way and her name was Posey also... i loved that dog she liked me too I have amazing photos of her and their other new pup which I named Max... Posey is a great name especially for an opossum cuz of their pink noses look like a flower bud..
I found an orphan out side 70 degrees 😳 just passing about the same age as when u first got urs my new love but not sure if is a male or female can u help me... urs is big and so adorable now
They just aren't all the same with how they accept us. Miss Posey shows some contempt at being tickled but looks for something tasty left behind. I've seen most accepting behaviors from males, less so with females though they're all grateful for care they get to some degree.

These pets you need to raise when they are young they make good pets but dont try to adopt a wild one and tame it the cutie will bite your hand off.

My boy gives me attitude when I wake him up but when Im laying in bed he crawls into my blanket and falls asleep on my chest.
