Nathan hitting 190 yard BULLETS with a 7 Iron using FOOT MECHANICS in the golf swing

- We optimised Nathan's ground reaction forces in his swing to drop his spin rate and gain control over his shots and begin to identify the movement patterns which matched the outcome of his desired shot.

I stopped playing 8 years ago, just to disappointed with my game after numerous lessons. You are actually the first teacher who makes complete sense and makes me want to play again. The transitions your students go through is just amazing and stimulating to watch. Keep it up.
I love the smile on the faces of the people you coach. It's great to watch !!!😃
Thank you Marcus, that session with Nathan was terrific. The content, explanations and results were brilliant. Also, loved watching Nathan’s lag in transition.
I love when the light goes off for people. I would pay top dollar to see this man for a lesson. God bless to the folks near him who can go to him. This instructor is the real deal! Ugh. If I win the lotto I will go see this man for a week long lesson, feed him and thank him forever! The GREAT LORD has given this instructor an awesome talent
Finally had a chance last night to get out on the driving range after watching several Zen Golf videos to try to harness some ground forces. Did hit some flushed shots. Did flub some too. Still a bit flippy. Still have a ways to go to integrate it. But I did feel I got onto my right heel - felt like the backswing’s range increased as a result.
Love the smile mate, he never stops, that reaction must be manna from heaven for a teacher
I’m truly gob smacked. Learned so much about how little I know about the golf swing. Even though Nathan feels the change in his swing, visually there is no noticeable difference.
Easy subscribe, what a lesson, love your unique approach. Also Kudos to Nathan for finding that feel, it opens up a whole new side of golf!
Another interesting video on a different approach to teaching golf.
Not sure I have a clue what it's all about but the scope numbers, happy smiles and Marcus' overflowing inbox don't lie.
Always something new in each of your videos but there is one constant - a delighted student. Brilliant work gents!
This is an amazing lesson! Real aha moment for your student and for my own game! Thank you
Love the smile your players get as things suddenly click!
Had my lesson with Marcus at end of August and was lucky enough to have Nathan filming.. what an absolute gentleman.. lesson was amazing you MUST get the ZEN Treatment 😀😀
I've been waiting for him to show up again! Watch the previous strength and conditioning routine video and though this guy must CRUSH the ball!
I was even with the card after 5 holes, then I stopped playing with zen golf and the old stuff crept it! I'll be able to zen golf for longer tomorrow!
I love this stuff and agree that ground forces are HUGE in the swing. So much stuff here and I just don't know where to start!
Will have to watch this another couple of times as there is so much here.
Obviously Nathan was a good golfer before he went there but it's amazing that you can see the massive changes in the mechanics of his swing, if that's the right term, even on a good player. He's really nice through the ball, I love watching those effortless swings.
love that split screen of launch monitor data!
Marcus, at 22:35 you mention tension level on the club? What does that mean? How do you do that, where does it come from, what does that achieve and why is that not used with all the other shots?
Wonder if you can explain what a proper release is and how do we know we are doing it correctly. I try to sort the shot out from target back to me, so my thinking is if my release is proper everything leading up to that should help sort itself. Love the content you are producing!!!
Guy has really nice swing. I notice most of your concentration is with the lower right side. Do we ever want to do much with the left or try to push left hip back? Thanks. Great videos
There's many factors to consider and it's very much an individual approach
Marcus, I stumbled upon your UA-cam channel and I have binged watched all of your videos! I am so "jacked" at the possibilities of adapting this method! My golf mind is in a dark place these days! Being that I live in the states, how do you suggest that I dive into this unconscious and powerful method? Is there any other material available? Books, website membership, etc? I just ordered some balance pads and am going to make a wobble board today! I'm a 13hcp trapped in "position golf" hell!
Thank You,
Ray from Texas, USA
Is it me or has the boss lost a few LB’s? Always great to Finnish with that smile knowing you are getting it!!
Was thinking the same
Started back training, didn't think it showed 😂
190 yrd 7 iron? thats nothing.
I can hit that with a sand wedge. However only when playing out of a greenside bunker.
😂😂😂
Yes but it was a nerf ball and he hit it into a 50 mph headwind uphill both ways.
@@louispounds7486 😂😂😂😂
Take my money Marcus, my body is ready. Release the full lesson !
Great stuff lads. Tasty.
How do you turn off the upper body from wanting to rotate? I end up pulling shots way left in my mind I’m trying to get more clubhead speed but its not working. I can’t get to you in the UK for a lesson with any ease, if I could I surely would. The pandemic is not helping things; train some trainers and get them around the world, maybe a solution.
Inspiring stuff man. You found your calling.
where can i get that laser system??
So if I use the right femur (which is brilliant) to begin the backswing, do I use the left femur rotating counterclockwise to start the downswing (along with pressing the left heel down)?
They are components of efficient lower body movement but everybody requires something different. Try it though 👍
I built a foot/rocker board, but find it keeps twisting when I try to make a fuller swing, just like it did with Nathan. Any advice on what I should do differently?
Everyone is different but you're not using torque at the right time. Can't explain on a chat because it's different for everyone.
Hi Marcus, what is the name of the accessory you're using to twist the feet?
We're about to bring a training aid out. You can buy rotating discs from Amazon
Are there any of these videos where a high handicapper with a really bad swing is transformed??
Yes sir. Plenty on the channel available :)
Does weight ever go onto outside of your right foot in backswing
It can do most definitely, just depends
How can I book a lesson with ZEN?? Can’t work it out??
Please follow the link to my booking system in the description 👍
ZEN Golf Mechanic tried everything but that 😳 thanks
What is the name of that little foot movement board that allows the foot to work right to left vs front to back? The one that gets you to feel the ankle movement better
?
@@dannyschmidt1536 It's a podiatry tool and can move the foot in all directions. Not a golf tool and needs to be used on an individual specific basis 👍
ZEN Golf Mechanic awesome! Thanks so much! Love seeing all the stuff that can help learn movement from the ground up. Keep up the amazing work! Love to get you in the States sometime
Enormously hrlpful videos...Robin needs to purchase a wireless microphone for you
I have 4 or 5 of your Vimeo's and those pesky Airplanes are annoying...plus we hear Robin great but you move about and...you get it! Best Golf instruction on youtube!
@@Jimtoledo We're working on it. Can't mic up in lessons as the video is primarily for the pupil and not UA-cam. It's with kind permission that we get to show them. Tutorials arw different and we are testing different audio options 👍
I do that. 175-195. Depending on the swing speed.
Mike. Austin.
Not studied Mike Austin in depth but will take a look. I've conducted research studies at University on these movement patterns. It's just efficient biomechanics that evolution has gifted us and we interfere with 👍
Yeah and that swivel board for your feet
Jesse Cavazos infinity 8 board
Danny Schmidt unfortunately can’t see anywhere in UK to buy an 8 board, out of stock on amazon, couldn’t see another supplier
Yeah 190yrds 7iron, how? Maybe it helps to be a giant lmao. Plus his swingspeed is off the charts. Got a friend who is 6'4" hits the same 160yrds PW. But his short game sucks. He cant gage his wedges because it is all about feel after 150yards or less. So in short, I kicked his arse almost every game even tho my PW is only 130yards. Short game is where it's at if you are not playing PGA tournament tips.
Don't disagree 👍
