    What an amazing explanation of the rotational forces utilized in the golf swing. Great video. Continued success, Marcus.

    Excellent. This has helped me tremendously since I was moving a little too much laterally in both the backswing and downswing nothing horrendous but subtle enough to not be able to draw the driver at will. The only thing I have to figure out is how to come and see you from across the pond. ❤

    Marcus, this video is an amazing clinic. All golf teachers should be required to ingest this lesson and struggle to understand what you did, in real time. It is so obvious that you worked this poor boy until he innately understood how to train his chains. BRILLIANT!!

    Your teaching method is very practical and is supported by science. My brother is a certified Rolfer and works on functional movement exercises with professional athletes. You are the first instructor that fully understands biomechanics and corresponding movement patterns. Once a golfer understands and practices your rotational and vertical exercises, they will discover their swing. I have taken lessons from Gankas, Malaska and 5 other top 100 instructions and they are promoting a system and not using biomechanical practices because they do not have the expertise. I subscribe 100% to your teaching and look forward to taking lessons when the virus subsides. Keep up the good work.

      @@GRFGolf I purchased all the tools you use and practice an hour a day. The new feels are liberating. I was taught to stabilize my lower body which inhibited my turn and created an over the top move. I am 61, played Division 1 tennis, and when I took up golf was taught everything against my instinct. Your instructions allows freedom of motion. Do you offer any online lessons? I recently purchased www.tryaeroski.com for skiing and improved substantially. I am amazed you do not have more followers.

    Another fantastic video Marcus! My game has really improved following a lesson with Danny, but I have a tendency to sway too much - especially with the driver. Your explanation with Joe, really hit the mark for me. Can't wait to have my lesson with you in December :)

    Love the way you teach. Easy to understand for the average person. Some instructors are great when they are there with you but once they leave you have no idea what to do or to fix it because you didn’t understand all their complicated instructions. You have a way that when I’m by myself and not hitting solid I can still fix it by remembering what you said. Sign of a really good teacher.

    Top drawer, passive arms reacting to the pivot, I've had and lost this feeling so many times over the years. The deeper I get the club behind me with good wrist hinge the easier it is to use only the pivot.

    11.45 - this the elephant walk that transformed my game. Before, I was back swinging level and swinging up - now I’m going up in the backswing, squatting and then going up. The difference is phenomenal.

    I've been watching these videos for a few months now without the ability to put any of it into practice due to rotator cuff surgery. I am now 14 weeks post ops and yesterday I was able to finally hit some balls. I felt like I was swinging at maybe 75% effort and about 75% rotation. My SW was carrying right at 80 yards which is up from 60 yards pre-injury. I am wondering at what point you'd suggest is enough distance as long as contact is consistent and as long as results are consistent. I read the tour pros are carrying the same club at 100 yards so I would think 80 yards is sufficient. Thoughts ?

    Many years ago i was at a golf clinic given by the great Christy O'Connor a great friend of the late and much oved Peter Allis. I asked him how he hit a face. He said i really just think fade. And the same for a draw i just think draw. Probably a little over simplified but you have made me understand what this amazing golfer really meant. Great golfers are not always great communicators of their own skill.

    Very convincing,.... but does that principle work for somebody, who started at the age of 55? How, or when at what stage do I know , that I am untalented for the game on what level ? How do I notice, I have reached my physical peak and how do I cope with ongoing age, referring to the former statements?

    Marcus you are teaching a one plane flat body swing. What if your a two plane up right swing like a Freddy Couples. The foot pressure and turn are different. Can you cover this. Thanks

    • @GRFGolf
      @GRFGolf  3 роки тому +1

      I don't teach any plane or have a preference so long as the swing is effective and safe. The body movement will naturally match the arm swing when the swing is efficient as all the segments will become compliant as part of an integrated system. There are some biomechanical principles which the body will adhere to via awareness. You naturally find the most comfortable space to swing the clubhead. There is no swing plane as such, as there is high variability in the motion of the club. The club only exhibits planar activity from late downswing through to early follow through.

    • @howrdhill4700
      @howrdhill4700 3 роки тому

      Thanks for the feedback. Jim Hardy Plane Truth for golf explained the one plane swing the club stays behind you like you explain. In the green zone you really flatten the swing to promote a draw. The two plane stays more upright around your neck and is more if an arm dominant swing. Does the foot work change? Is there a casting of the club to pick up speed? Thanks for your work.

    • @GRFGolf
      @GRFGolf  3 роки тому

      @@howrdhill4700 I've attended a plane truth conference and also read his book. I'm aware of Jim Hardy's approach but this isn't a version of his. The swing plane is self finding, I'm not trying to guide anyone into a prescribed model rather allow the pupil to explore their movement potential and discover their optimal pattern. We're simply inviting the body into an opportunity to move and observe what emerges 👍
