Here’s a fun way to use the stemware . We don’t drink either but I use stemware for Sunday dinner. I set my dining room table and the kids love it. I do a full table setting. It’s so fun and they are learning how to use a formal setting. Just an idea.
That's a cute idea!
Mom served water to guests or for special occasions in her stemware
Homer Laughlin is highly collectable.
That's great to know
Milk tastes better in a fancy glass
Haha I love that
😂😂😂
You found some great treasures! Actually, some of the wine glasses may be parfait(par-fay) glasses. A very popular dessert at one time. You layer pudding, fruit and whipped cream. It looks so pretty in those style glasses.
There is so much potential in the items you have found. Score! 😊
Oh good eye!
Sundaes, shakes and coke floats with he family...do what you want in your own home❤
You can serve your family ice cream or pudding in the fancy glasses! Barb in cali
That sounds like fun
Heat will also help the leaves . I use the fancy glasses for puddings and jello desserts when I make parfait or other desserts. Makes it fun. Also plant succulents in them
Great ideas
I've been binge watching your videos, I love watching your thrifting and estate sale hauls and what you do with them. Thank you for being so down to earth and 'normal' lol ♻
You are so welcome! Thank you so much for watching
Grandma Moses was a very famous Americana artist, those plates are so cool!
Very cool! I will look into it some more
Homer Laughlin was a famous ceramic designer, involved in fiesta ware. Those fluted wines are probably Hersey, also pretty collectible
heisey
Johnson brothers always good too
Turn the glasses upside down. Glue a bowl on top for a pretty food display or in the bathroom for soaps or cotton balls , jewelry ect.
That's so creative
Use the wine glasses to make candles and give them as Christmas presents.
Cute idea!
Please keep in mind that most wine glasses are not tempered and may shatter from the heat of a candle. I learned that the hard way many years ago, thankfully before my kids were born! Love this video! xoxo

I sold Avon many years back and was in the President Club. I still have all my Albee Awards.
Be sure and look up Grandma Moses they are collectable!
That was really fun. Especially since I didn't have to find places to put that stuff. 😅😉
Hahaha right
When you have an excess of older Christmas ornaments, you can make a wreath from one of those green plain wreaths they sell at Hobby Lobby (get them at the after xmas sales when they are over 75% off). hot glue the ornaments on the wreath and voila, instant door wreath.
I love that idea
You could use the wine glasses for ice cream sundaes
That would be fun
Check the values on the Avon pieces, some of them are quite valuable to collectors
It is fun to teach the grandkids elegant glassware
Be sure to google lens the glassware. Grandma Moses is a well known folk artist
I will check it out
Use the various sized wine glasses as a center down your dining table with different color votives depending on theme of dinner) or various juice glasses for a set table, or dessert cups. All the platters could make up a gallery wall in your dining room.
Love your creativity!
I absolutely love stuff like that!! 🎉
some of the things you donated had a lot of potential if painted - the stemware could be used as a pedestal for beautiful tier trays - you can spray paint them as well for a different look - it's funny, a lot of the stuff you donated are the very items I would have kept. :)
You hit the jackpot! Congrats. Enjoy your day.
Thank you so much. You too
I had a little Avon lip gloss compact that looked like a hamburger. It was so cute. It had two colors, it did last a long time too!
I used random stemware as candle cups at all heights as filler for the fireplace in summer.
That hand painted bowls you can use as saucers for flower pots where you can grow some herbs in the kitchen since is so hot outside. I hope you have windowsill. That it if you like cooking.
Oh thats a great idea!
Wow. Nothing was broken. Very lucky. I like the way you are so genuine and the manner you flip the furniture. Thank you for sharing your videos. Please show videos of what you did with evering. I enjoy your ideas! Again, thank you!
Spode is also rather collectible
Yes
LOVE Spode!
You can spray paint those things you don’t like the glasses you can use for ice cream!
I sold Avon when I was in college in the late 70’s.
This is a fun video and you found some great decor and dishware!!
I am so glad you liked it
Floral shops love different kind of vases and pots and things like that too.
Vocational schools that teach floral design would love to have pots and anything you could put a plantain or put a flower arrangement in for their students.
Wow I never thought of that!
Cicadas - love that sound! I grew up with that in Kansas. Here now on SF Bay Area & we don’t have those here. Great haul! OMGOODNESS! My mom had that OU Sooners football!
Wow Cory! What a great haul! Lots of good stuff! Thanks for sharing… was a fun video! 🥰🥰🥰
Thank for watching Kim
Some of the Homer Loughlin is very sought after!
Hi Cory. FYI the 2nd plate from France is a collaboration between the manufacturer "Ahrenfeldt" compagny of Limoges in France and the retailer "C. Reizenstein" from Pittsburgh Allegheny. Love your YT channel.
Ooo thank you! I thought it had to be something like that. So cool
I love the equestrian Prints. They would look great mixed with your cottagecore look you're going for!
I would love to have them!
Thank you Karen!
The pitcher with the fruit is probably from the 50’s. And the glass thing you thought would hold water is actually a base for the open ended glass hurricanes that I’ve seen you thrift.
oh thank you for letting me know!
Wow score on lot.
Those blue pieces n the lamp with the green print are absolutely my favorite items. Can't wait to see what you do with the items you kept. Have a Awesome week.
Me too!
Iistening to cicadas in march makes me miss summer..It cant get hete soon enough.
I am not looking forward to the heat haha
Grandma Moses. I didn't know there were collector plates. Neat find
Wow, what a lot of things to wash ...some beautiful cut glass and procelain. I love that mirror. I would strip it and gold leaf it.
Haha Gail you think like I do!
That basket would look great with greenery and placed on top of the book self in living room
That basket is worth $$$
Really?
It's a bit too large to fit up there
We use goblets crystal for ice water juice etc
I would use the glasses as water glasses if you have anyone over for dinner. Those are pretty. You got a lot of good stuff.
Great idea
Fun! So much stuff to have fun with and great to buy it second hand instead of new.
Yes so fun!
Nice haul. I hope you had your water. Thanks for sharing.
Yes I had lots of water after filming lol thank you
I think the home owner may of had some British history as the glassware may be worth checking out and Spode and Wedgwood are also highly collectible in the UK some early pieces go for hundreds of pounds be careful you could have a fantastic piece on your hands. Glad you're back with all your ideas and I wish you luck with your new venture storefront looks fab . God bless keep well 💗💗
Very interesting 😊. You got a lot of nice stuff! Can't wait to see what you create! 😊❤
Thank you Pam
Great haul, looking forward to seeing what you transform.
Did I hear you correctly that you’re living in Houston now? Our family lived in and around Houston for many years. I actually worked in the medical center for about twenty years in addition to attending nursing school there. We are now in the lake Texoma area. Welcome to the heat and humidity, ugh. I liked living in Houston , people are super nice and friendly there and I hope that’s your experience too.
Thank you! Yes we are near Houston!
The clear pitcher with the fruit is like the 1960s
Thank you for the info!
Oh, that teapot would have made such a cute faux plant holder!
True!
On the father cup- would you be able to paint/cover over the word to in the shape of a sign. You could then put a word like LOVE, HOPE, HOME....
Wow, what a haul. Lots of expensive plates. Yes, I sold Avon for alot of years. The reason I quit was because of the quality of some of their products. Never knew their was such a thing as a online auction sale.
How cool! And too bad about lower quality. You see that everywhere now. Welcome to the world on auctions!
LOVE the green and white lamp!
Me too!
BEAUTIFUL PLANT STAND
Right? Love it
All those stems would make a pretty holiday table.
Good idea!
You can use the nice stemware to serve deserts!
True!
Soooo much fun.
Nice haul♥️
Sherry on Canterbury Cottage would love the English style hunting art.
Thanks! I bet she would
Use the wine glasses by turning them up side down an use as candle holders
Cute idea
You can use the last wine glasses you showed, or even some of the more rounded type for desserts. They make a lovely container for syllabub loose even fruit salad. I do so love you channel thank you
Great ideas Deborah
Awesome stuff ❤️❤️
Great haul! Thanks for sharing, Corie ❤
Thanks for watching Gina
@@DesertDIY you’re welcome
I have a pretty father cup that I put out on my kitchen table in June.
Oh that makes sense!
Hi Cory: Those 5 fluted glasses with the lovely stems look like Orfors crystal. I have some that are green that were my mother's. Vintage if they are Orrefors.
Thank you so much for letting me know
Some of those vintages dishes I would use to put bamboo plants.
Cool idea!
Oh wow. This was so much fun 🥰 xxx
I'm so glad you liked it
Homer Laughlin makes Fiestaware
Oh wow I didn't know that
Use the wine glasses as candle holders.
The sunflower wreath is supposed to look raggedy, that was the style then. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. dm
We use the wine glasses for water or tea !
Good idea
I just saw someone use their heat gun to straighten out bent florals. Bet a blow dryer would do it. Good luck.
Great idea
🥰 Great finds 💚✅👍
LOVE the green dishes!! How fun to do mystery boxes
So glad you liked it Kathy!
You don't need to drink alcohol to make good use of those glasses, especially wine glasses are made to enhance the flavour, which makes them great for my applejuices (I buy where they make selected products from each apple type, meaning that discovery tastes different from aroma, so I drink those instead of wine to food) I guess you can use them for different drinks, and see if they make any difference in how it tastes. 😊
Wow thats a cool idea
What a great haul!! Well done!
Thank you
That wasn't bad at all you got some lovely stuff
Thank you!
You got an awesome haul love lots in the haul have a great weekend
Thank you Donna! You too
You can use the glasses for individual desserts
True!
Wow so many pretty things. I would be tempted to keep 75% of it. I have that Victorian spoon rest and teapot. I have a whole collection bought in Cape May NJ and San Francisco. When my kids were young I used to put Jello or pudding in fancy glasses, they loved it. You could keep some for desserts and ice cream. How much did you spend for that large haul?
By the way, those hunting art prints are popular with decorators that want the Ralph Lauren style
I love all of that! Thank you for sharing! I am guessing for every bit of it maybe around 60 including all the chairs
You did a great job
Thank you
You got some great things!!
Thank you
Dont get rid of the xmas China. Its lovely
Thank you
What a haul! I'm a little jealous 😉
Haha thank you Karen
😱u are getting rid of the elephant? thats an awesome piece
Yes I just dont have a place for that in my home
@@DesertDIY should gift it, elephant are good luck and i think for fortune also. a lady told me when she gave me a statue
Put a lot of the items that you don't especially like for your own use, put them in you booth
Your stemware would be pretty with lemonade in them or ice cream or sherbet
Oh how fun!
The yellow platter looks like my sisters pattern that is a Bucks Country
Very cool
Great finds and deals
Thanks!
Do you still have our booth? If so, much of what you have gotten can be sold, I would think. And yes, Homer Laughlin is collectible and
I do yes!
For your safety you should really wear gloves when going thru boxes. Rodent droppings are toxic. 😢❤
Yes! Next time!
Great finds!
Thank you Vickie
Turn the glassware into deco.
You don’t have to drink wine to display those beautiful glasses that glass thing is to put a candle in with a chimney on it, just turn it over.
Great idea
Hormer plates are worth money
Very nice haul...❤
Thank you Nellie
Be careful with what you are calling wine glasses many appear to be Multi-Purpose Goblet Glasses.
Thank you Wanda. I have no idea what each glass is called
It appears you also have two Princess House crystal glasses.
Hey don't waste money on planter pots. Put them in your CRYSTAL BOWLS VASES N PICTURES. I have mine in them and they look FABULOUS
Great idea
Are the hunt scene prints signed. Nice, don't trash
They were not. They sold in my antique booth 😀
The "Cut" vase is cut glass, not crystal.
Crystal will "sing" when touched with finger nail. I just love to get the bowls, vases, glassware SINGING in the stores.
Ladies. Try it. Smiles are worth the effort.
.
That sounds fun
