Pros and cons moving to central Florida

- Here are some pros and cons on my experience moving to Florida I will be uploading videos on expenses related to the move, the Insane process of buying our house during this crazy market, things to do besides Disney and universal. I will take you on a tour of Davenport; things we have done and will be doing … a glimpse of our beautiful home ❤️ I forgot to mention I’m in champions gate so if you want to see around let me know 😉 I’m here to make your experience smoother and hopefully easier so will touch base on storage units, moving companies, schools, contractors etc.

Traffic is not a con in florida... ive lived in NYC 25 years, PA 1 year.... theres no worse traffic than in NYC....
Also from NY. Traffic definitely has its days but I wouldn’t exactly say it’s a “pro” to me it’s definitely a con when a 20min drive takes 45-1hr or 10-15 min takes 25-30min. But again I can see where you’re coming from.
@@jensenrealtyllc I agree but not as bad as NYC. I moved to the Horizon West area from Bronxville NY and it's better here due to options. I stay off I4 and only do toll roads, even if you take I4 it still beats NYC traffic.

Just saw your vid. I’m from Chicago and real estate broker here. My wife and I and my two kids go to Florida 3-4 times a year. I’m actually looking into townhomes to airbnb and hopefully in a year or two move. I’ve been looking into championsgate community. What are your thoughts ?

I’m with a small broker firm here in chicago. I’m thinking about switching to @properties or Coldwell. I just applied for my FL license last week. Waiting to hear back on the approval.

Have you looked into getting a solar attachment for the house I remember people doing that in Hawaii and it in fact would reverse the bill and you would start getting paid for your electrical input into the grid. Just an idea
I have but it’s pretty pricey upfront. I should start getting quotes and saving ASAP cause this is NOT it lol 4 girls are expensive lol

Thanks for the video. We live in Cali and are looking into central Florida. It’s so hard to wrap my head around how people buy homes if they are from out of state. Did you buy while you still lived in NY? Did you both have to find new jobs in FL?
Again, Isk if I’m the only person but this part of moving and buying seems so difficult.

Yes it was completely nerve wracking.
So my husband retires this month so he stayed in NY. We sold our home he moved into an apartment and visited monthly. I moved with my four kiddos(definitely has been challenging!) so as a realtor (soon to be broker) I will suggest not to leave your jobs if you can transfer look into that if not start looking for a position here and get offer letter with start date/pay etc. once you move you can always seek a different job if that doesn’t work out. But yes stability is a must have for approval. There are a ton of new builds here in Davenport so you won’t have any issues finding a home. Look into HOA because I am surely NOT A FAN! So first get a am approval go the full route not just a pre approval trust me it gets things moving along. Have a good savings. Don’t touch your credit. Once you move you will hit the ground running. Thankfully there are a ton of Facebook local sites to help you navigate doctors schools etc. if you have kids, once approved and you know what area start looking into schools and daycare!

I have family in the area, they mentioned that I should fly out with the kids first but I just thought that was crazy. I guess it makes sense in some cases. Oh man, need to do a lot more homework. Thank you again!

Naw....been in South Florida for 23 years and counting the days to relocate to central Florida!!!!
