20$ per month for a feature, that i get in Davinci Studio for one price. I love FCP! But a monthly or anual plan can‘t beeing a Part of the solution in the contest with Premiere or Davinci.

All I need from Resolve at this point is a magnetic timeline option and better motion graphics/mograph playback. Resolve does that and it’s game over. Unfortunate that FCP doesn’t have these tools built in.
@@TennisUnleashed I don't actually want to switch to Davinci, despite the good integrated tools. I love the workflow in FCP with plugins, but then paying a subscription for it instead of a one-time price is tough.

I don’t like either the new subscription business model, especially because I already heavily invested in theirs plugins.. I had to try it although, cause I don’t want to learn to use DaVinci, let alone buying it and buying again all the plugins with the titles that I’m used to use in my projects. I would have liked much more a pay once high fee like it was dor mTracker 3D but I guess that it’s over..
Everywhere I look there seems to be an overwhelming majority of editors that are kinda pissed about this subscription model

I think we are having a moment here, folks.
It's not like we didn't know the affiliate relationship between UA-camrs and product sellers was a core part their business model, but there comes a time when it is laid out so plainly, so boldly, so absurdly, that this is a jump-the-shark moment. (I'm old enough to have seen the original airing of that episode. And maybe it's not the best analogy, but hopefully you get my drift...).
I think a bunch of UA-camrs who have been reviewing this product are just now realizing they have been reputationally burned, or at least singed badly, by promoting an interesting tool at a ridiculous price.

Hey Peter, thanks for this tip! It looks fantastic. Could you show us an example with a 25 or 24 frames rate clip with a tricky situation (colors similarity between background and subject for instance) just to see the absolute limits of it? Cheers!
The more motionblur you have, the harder it's going to be. I think the shot on the bridge with Oskar on the bike proves just how good it is!

I already tested it on an ad I have to release with black metal parts that I shot against a black backdrop. The parts have red and white details. I enhanced the exposure to reveal more the item, applied rotoAI and bam.. Much much better then luma keyer, and it was in a totally impossible situation.

Wow, i haven't used this in a while. I gave up as the tracker was too finicky.. but is that localized tracker the silver bullet to that! only track where you want to place something!?! do i need to update my 3D tracker to get this or does it come as part of the surface add in?
I think the surface is a separate one!

On a plan, forget about it, this its free in Davinci, that's one of the reason I don't use FCP, I think apple hates it.

They're not really aimed towards hobbyists, but they have some great options!
can't you just do the surface track with the built in tracker of fcpx?
Not this precise no, this is dead on, every single time! You also have the possibility to track deforming objects, which is wild.

It's just these plugins that are Subscription based, your old ones are not.
Dude I was so disappointed to see that, I owe most of the ones already in the pack minus the new ones, so basically if I want to take advantage of the new ones I have to subscribe to it and pay the same price as someone who doesn’t already own them.

So far I like it though, masking has always been one of those thing I stay away from just because of how time consuming it is but now it’s opened some new doors since I can be lazy

Amazing all these UA-camrs are promoted something Davinci Already does and for free. I suspect it is because they are not paying the yearly subscription fees for these overpriced plugins that are "online" subscription based only...
I say in the video that it’s sponsored, but it still doesn’t take away the fact that it’s a dope plugin.

@@ArndMuller1971 Yes, Davinci has that built in and a lifetime version of the studio version is around the same price, even less I believe. I got my version free when I purchased a Pocket 6K.. I think Motions is subscription based bc maybe it has to be online and connect enable to do that rotoscoping
