There's a lot of competition in the small-SUV space, but we reckon Kia's Seltos is a strong offering. What do you think? FULL STORY: www.whichcar.com.au/reviews/2023-kia-seltos-review-first-australian-drive
I thought this was an excellent review. The guy doing the review seemed to have a nice balanced approach and seem to evaluate the car in a sensible manner.
Nice review John .This car looks improved and much better .Full size spare ,better transmission, more power ,cooled and heated seats ,traditional gear stick ,physical buttons for aircon and radio .I don’t mind plastic on the dash because it wears better over the years with the heat and is more durable than leather .This surely must be a winner amongst small suvs.
@@cityplanner3063 that seems to be changing these days - we have had toyotas, but our latest cars have been two Kias - both have had no issues whatsover - and with 40km free servicing, which toyota don't offer.
Thank you for this review! Waiting for some Canadian dealerships/UA-camrs to get their reviews out. This is great in the meantime. This is at the top of my list for my next vehicle, for sure!
What will kia do about the speed beeping you cant turn off and crap no 360 camera ?? How do they stuff these up and wreck an overall greatly improved package?
Quite nice, but where is the 360 camera it comes with in some markets? The Mazda CX-30 has it on some models and it is a feature I want on my next car.
What happened with the drive by wire dial up shifter? why do you have the regular shift knob? does it mean few of the features aren't really available as per advertised?
@@BigG2G i mean my 2020 cerato looks far more quality looking than a corolla 2020 so im okay with that. haha. but seeing this is advertised before as dial up shifter and you ordered it for that. It would be weird when you get it only to get the normal shifter.
Too bad the standard versions are lumbered with Hyundai's crappy CVT. It also is subject to many complaints about reliability and early failures. If it had the 6 speed torque converter auto I would have been interested.
the engine needs more power, as an auto degrades more of the power that a DCT or a manual does...hence there would be very little difference in performance
LOL The reason it is turbo charged is because as a 1.6 it can't do the job it needs a turbo to boost the power to do the job. All the other BS re technology etc is just glitz. I just bought an ASX Mitsubishi not the even the most IT Technology latest but a proven engine a proven CVT box. LOL the seats haven't changed over 13 years, the interior is 13 years of proven reliability. I will take my proven 2 litre four without any turbo but proven reliability over all the latest competitors.

One of the best reviews. The comparison to the competition should be more often part of this type of reviews.
The Boot comparison specs are a revelation. Please keep doing this!
I know its awesome and the competitors pricing too
I like the data on screen brand comparison on pricing this is unique no other review ive seen offers this really helpful essentiall info great job.

$47690 u must be kidding lol
@@wcrash9361 Still a hell of a lot better than $54042 for a Corolla Cross Atmos lol
@@andrewlucan9017 I guess there is brand perception. Many people generally see Toyota as a better brand compared to Kia
@@cityplanner3063 I tend to think of most Toyotas as refrigerators on wheels; an emotion-free experience.

Thought I was watching Chasing cars 😆

What do you get in the get line over the sport+ that warrants the extra 5k?
1st one to comment John. Great review.
nice looking car! great review
Perhaps someone will work out a way to disable the speed limiter buzzer, or do a ‘work around’
I thought the traditional Auto Gear change was changing to a Rotary one on all new Seltos.?
Very informative ,thanks mate can you review Yaris hybrid urban 4WD 2023 please ,I just subscribed and liked
Do you get these safety features on base line Kia seltos 2023?
Great review very informative and interesting ☺️
No mention of the leg room at the back seat?
John!! I was wondering wtf was going on with your absence.
The fitting of a conventional auto transmissions is the best thing on the Seltos. I wouldn't touch one with DCT of CVT.
I am loving my 2022 Sportage DCT with 6.8km/L average around town. Very sporty and premium vehicle.
Did you leave chasing cars John?

Does the new Seltos have a tilt and telescopic steering wheel?
Yes it does
👌
road noise?
What the!? John what happened to your Chasing Cars gig?? Man, reviewers are becoming like footy players... No team loyalty. 🤣
I am thinking the same thing. lol
I guess contracts are contracts
Loyalty went out of the window years ago.
Cutest car reviewer in Australia 😛
Great review! We have ordered a 23 GTLine Turbo AWD, hopefully the wait isn’t as long as Toyotas vehicles
What did they say the delivery time will be?
@@Nick-Gye they are saying around June but I take what they say with a grain of salt. Could be earlier, more than likely later 🤷🏽♂️
Is it a CVT auto transmission or just automatic transmission?
Seltos would’ve been perfect with a sun roof 😤
Available except on 2-tone paint models.

Why do all car reviews keep doing jazz-hands as they talk?
They have be watching too much of Scotty K
Free form dancing?

Road noise an issue.
still an issue?
New Seltos.................Really Cool and affordale and I Love it
$47690? Affordable?? Lol
@@wcrash9361 Definitely affordable when compared to a Toyota Corolla Cross Atmos at $54000
Affordable the povo pack kick off at mid 30s .The mg povo starts at 23
No more chasing cars then. Back to Wheels.
With that T shirt are you saying something..
😍😍😍

Whatever works, Brian!
Those wheels are hideous I'd be changing them first.
Didn't like them at first but got to the stage of not minding them.
Is it only me that hates that teal blue colour?? Its a serious turn off...
Really first words... Bad news on a review...
WTF I thought I was watching chasing cars .car reviewers are like bikies they chop and change clubs no loyalty
Ain’t nobody paying 47,000 for that lil ass bland shit
