The extra 'pass through' material in the shoulder straps is meant to be used with a proprietary quick release system that Direct Action offers as an option which is compatible with all of their carriers.
I've had the Spitfire II plate carrier from Direct Action and I've always thought it's the best JPC style plate carrier. Their back panels and comfort pads are really really good. Always been curious about the Bearcat, seems like a decent option for a lightweight carrier.
I haven't tried the Bearcat, but I do have the spitfire plate carrier and have used a bunch of their backpacks, bags and pouches. Tbh, I think Direct Action Gear mKes some pretty great gear and is slept on quite a bit. I did replace my spitfire with a Haley Strategic Thorax, but I do think the spitfire is a very solid carrier.
I don't know who these companies are making carriers for. I'm 5'9 165lb so not big by any means but just about every carrier I've had i had to relocate the velcro fields on the straps because i have to bottom them completely out and then some to get the correct ride height. Really annoying. I don't think a 6'10" 300lb hulk needs to wear a medium plate.
Are you planning on reviewing the "new" Agilite Magnetix belt? I'm really intrigued by it and might replace my Ferro Bison with one of them and I think youre one of the last people that actually says what he thinks about products instead of shilling for a company

I’ve owned this carrier about a year now & it’s fantastic for the prepared citizen. I train with it often in the gym & on the range.
Peculiar design.

European plates have different sizing from american SAPI plates which could be why the fit could be being odd

If they are willing to send me one I will.
Been seeing ads for them wondering how their gear is
I like their clothing a lot. Like UF Pro but a little cheaper. They are the high end sister company of Helikon Tex.
can't go wrong with Direct Action tbh
First!
Congrats I guess. Do you guys think that being first gets you a free trip to Cancun or something?
