I attended this game and got soaked to the skin that day. I was on the other end of the field in an end zone seat but still saw the big stop by Phil Hansen. Hansen was one of my favorite Bills.
NO, that was next year. The Bills were still good this year going 10-6. No doormat. At the end of the year, Levy and Kelly retired. Bills flopped at 6-10. Yeah, then the doormat started...and has not really ended to this day. The Bills dynasty ended with a big halt the day Kelly retired.
Not quite, at least when talking about the Bills. They made it to the playoffs as a Wild Card that 1996 season and would do the same in the 1998 and '99 seasons, but their days as a powerhouse were numbered the moment Kelly retired.
Great upload, Thanks, I didn't have this game, I linked it to my channel to share with other Bills and Pats fans that may not have the game either, Thanks again.
This was the 2nd game i ever watched as a 9 year old pats fan. The first was the week before at Miami. I remember so many dumb details about this season for some reason.
Kelly had a bad year this year but Kent Hull had a bad year too when he came out of his stance he can no longer get the hip bend that he did when he was in his prime. If you watch closely every time after he snapped the ball,he was pretty much vertical.

The NFL draft class of 1996 had some great wide receivers. KeyShawn Johnson, Terry Glenn, Eric Moulds, Marvin Harrison, and Terrell Owens.
the year these two teams officially switched their doormat-dominant status

Remember when the Bills could actually beat the Pats?
We used to always smoke them.
1994 through 1996 were the transition years before the Patriots began their dominance over the Bills. Go Bills!
And now we're smoking the Patriots yet again in the JOSH ALLEN ERA!!!!!! We did take a little break in between lol.
I was at this game. Wow did I get drenched!

wow Vinniterri is still playing
Terry Ray of New England would go on to a CFL All Star career beginning in 1999
Why did Patriots kickoff to start the game and then again to start the third quarter?
Unsportsmanlike on bench & PIs. Even back then the Pats had the refs in their pockets.
Adam Vinatieri 's rookie season
Even back then Kraft had the Refs in his hip pockets two bogus holding calls
u have the cowboys game in 96
Just added it.
Funny how no one apent 6 momths talking a out tunas icy handshake woth levy...

Tupac was shot one day before this game in Vegas
Interesting, princess Diana died the day before the bills home opener in 1997.
Parcells looked pissed at the end of the game. Not sure if it's because he lost, or if it was the blue garbage bag the NFL told him to wear.
Probably because he knows he should of given the ball to Curtis Martin and not Dave Meggett on the final play!
WHy Meggett? He sucked as a running back. He was a good punt returner but small and fragile for a runner. Better to have given to Curtis Martin.
Parcells sucks
Yeah ok. The very BEST coach at turning around lousy teams.
