- In this daily life vlog, we go for a lovely fall walk in the woods, have a keto fast- food breakfast from Carl's Jr, do some home decorating, I give an update on my house plants, and finally - a crystal haul! Plus, get a look at Andrew's new tattoo!
I've got a lot going on in this day in the life vlog. So much random crap going on today, but thanks for joining me anyway! I was gonna make a pumpkin pie, but it takes like two HOURS to make. I couldn't commit to that right now. But it's coming...I swear.

As I understand it, minimalist design is not about having a bare environment. It's not the same as so-called "spartan" living where there are no decorations. It's about having an environment that is both functional and subjectively pleasing, while also being devoid of meaningless and/or stress-inducing objects. Some people, like me, are stressed by having lots of tchotckes to dust. Other people are stressed if they don't have beautiful things to look at. So minimalist decor is rather subjective, but the decorations you choose should be harmonious and add to the environment rather than detract from it, or cause stress.

I really like this style of vlog that's all over the place and Andrew's tattoo is so cute. The only reason I kind of lean towards minimalism is because my mother is a bit of a hoarder and I try not to follow in her footsteps. Also my apartment gets really dusty and minimalism means less stuff to dust, but I still like to collect some things like houseplants and taxidermy. Happy to see your houseplants are doing well too!
My dad and that whole side of the family are hoarders and I HATE it! So I get the feeling! I've learned to let go of things that don't bring me joy so I don't hoard useless things!

I tried to become a minimalist but I have a lot of things and a lot of sentimental things too! I attach memories and feelings to things so it’s hard to just get rid of them.

i am not a minimalist at all! i love collecting nice things, i have lots of beautiful old books and things to decorate my house. i also feel depressed when my spaces are too empty and bare

Wow, the park is so lovely! The contrast of that deep blue sky and the changing leaves is glorious. I live somewhere that doesn't really see the change of seasons at all, so I shall live vicariously through you!
I also love that you said you want to just surround yourself with beautiful things; this is my personal philosophy too! A nice display or storage area for your beautiful things, like that gorgeous purple box, go a long way in helping us "maximalists" enjoy our collections without too much dusting.

I love having knick-knacks and things from nature that I've found around the house. It feels so much more like home! It does make it harder to dust, but it's worth it!

This was a fun video... I really like to walk and I'm into rocks BIG TIME. To me there is something magical to them. As for the Minimalist lifestyle, I couldn't do it because my house looks like a movie set, lights and Cameras everywhere plus cooking utensils and a past of just living is everywhere. But I really get the concept, it is attractive to think about.

I’m not normally one to watch things about crystals but you explained it so well that it actually got me considering to at least just have them in my environments (home and work) to help me stay positive and more confident in myself
I’m a minimalist in the sense of only keeping what I need, but you can bet your buns my house is covered in velvet, cheetah print, bright colors, hand made stuff, etc 😂

I definitely like to collect things. I love displaying the things that bring me joy, games, books, plushies to name a few. It's homey. Black Tourmaline, also called Schorl, is a general feel better stone like rose quartz and blue lace agate, but it also has the protective energies due to the dark color. It also helps with practicality, creativity, intellect, and vitality. I don't usually browse the comments, so I don't know if someone said that already 😬
But on another note, i tend to lean towards clutter lol. I have trinkets and gifts and art that I made, or bought, or (my favorite) someone made for me. I also have SO MANY CRYSTALS. I love them lol I call them my rocks. My personal favorites are my raw emeralds, dalmatian stone, and the raw sapphire I FINALLY found when I visited my bff in New York!
I love rose quartz but i actually don't work well with it. I had a pendant and earring set I had to give away cuz every time I wore it, I had a colossally bad day. So i guess the takeaway here is don't insist on keeping stones that don't vibe lol
I believe that seeing one of your previous vlogs inspired me to become more healthy. Thank you for that. Although I'm more burning the calories with exercise type of girl, your vlogs are still inspiring! And I totally understand your reaching to your inner self in this occasion and not doing any Sims videos. ♥️
Cindy, I'm almost 3 years into my serious spiritual journey. I've always been curious but 3 years determined! This made my heart happy to see you find your way to mindfulness. Whatever your spiritual views - my path lead me to paganism - there is scientific evidence that mindfulness or manifestation, meditation, and so on, do work! A positive mindset can never be wasted. There are days I wonder if any of it is "real" but after 10 years an atheist, I now realize it doesn't matter. It's real to those who use spirituality to find peace and as long as you're not infringing on anyone's rights passing laws that go along with your spiritual or religious views, I think it's a wonderful thing. When I was an atheist I always felt something was missing! My mental health got at least 50% better when I started down this path and I'll take that 🙃 one thing though, I use citrine for MONEY! It's also great for creativity. I use Amazonite for anxiety and in fact you can get a mix of amazonite, tourmaline and I think smoky quartz in one stone, they often chill together! I think it is my favorite stone. I have an Amazonite pendant I anoint with catnip essential oil when I need a little luck - makes my cats go crazy but its safe for them to smell catnip on you! It has never steered me wrong.
I love crystals too! I always look at my collection when you talk about yours to see if i have the same lol
These kind of blogs are so much fun. A little of this and some of that. I like all of your blogs but sometimes you need to just post whatever you feel at that moment. It makes my heart smile.
Love that crystal set you got! It came with so many amazing & useful crystals that I also have & use a lot! Little tip if it could maybe be useful but, Citrine is also great for inviting in prosperity & abundance. It's also great for any digestive/stomach issues! Black Tourmaline is used a lot for grounding as well as all sorts of protection! Amethyst is also great for opening your 3rd Eye Chakra & enhancing your intuition, which is why it's one of my faves! Rose Quartz is a favorite of mine too & I love having just a bunch of it around the house in general because it invites in peace & helps with self love as well!
That gemstone necklace is so pretty! Clothing items feeling loose and like tents feels awesome but it's frustrating to need a new wardrobe lol, though it could be a good idea to have your fave items taken in by a seamstress or something. I've just noticed my workout leggins sagging on me and that when I monitor my blood pressure at home, the arm wrap around thingy fits much looser and having an easier time sitting in chairs with arm rests (thighs not squished against the rests) - it's the little things that are amazing to realize have happened due to weight loss!

I love all stones but tumbled stones are my favorite. It reminds me that no matter how rough things are, it can get smoother.
My favorite natural stone dark blue lace agate. I see the depths of the ocean. To me it represents the lack of limitations.
My favorite tumbled stone is labradorite. So pretty and the changing colors are like the facets of life's change.
My favorite man-made stone is blue goldstone. It's pretty and sparkly.

Be careful with the salt lamp. After a while it starts crumbling on the bottom. If it gets on table might ruin surface

I also have a salt lamp and I LOVE it! Not only it shines beautifully but it has that subtle rocky scent that I really like. Although in time it may start to crumble (I occasionally find some salt dust around the lamp).
I know exactly what you mean! I would love to be a minimalist but I inherited my Mum's house when she passed and it has a lot of her things in it which I can't bear to part with. It’s interesting that citrine can ward off nightmares. I bought a citrine ring off Etsy a few months ago bc I liked the colour, and when I got it the paperwork that came with it says it’s good for healing emotional wounds. Unfortunately the ring was cheaply made so I got rid of it
I used to ''believe'' in crystal healing, Taro cards and meditation. A lot of my mom' friends were in those things. Even my father with his new wife were. I remember buying my first crystal when I was 14 years old. It's was a Onyx if i remember correctly.
I was 15 when I got kind of overwhelm by all this. My Mom' best friend had a Rose Quartz that was really precious to her. I remember she had some bigs romantics problems at the time. We were at her house and we were reading some Taro cards. A few minutes after, we heard a loud crack sound. She got into a room, and got out her Rose Quartz, who was in her drawer. It was broken in half. It was a pretty big Rose Quartz too ! The size of my palm.
With a few other incidents, I totally gave up on this pratice.
But, since you talked about it, I've decided to give it another try. I've bought a few crystals, I've got out my incense sticks and I'm going to retry meditation.

Hello, Cindy. Because of your videos, I'm starting my keto diet! Today is my third day. Currently I'm 147.7lb and my goal are 121.2lb and my height are 5ft 2inch. I'm really happy I have a friend together through this journey! I hope we can achieve our goals and becomes more healthy and confident with our bodies! Fighting!

I'm more of a minimalist but my best friend is the exact opposite. When we go camping I just have my miserable backpack of discomfort while she's dragging entire pieces of furniture out into the woods, it's probably obvious which one of us is more comfortable while we're out there 😂

I am a total maximalist. Collections of old books, crystal balls, animal skulls and bones, insects, rocks, dolls, art, postmortem photography, marbles and fuck all. Less is indeed less and I always want more.

And tell Andrew his tattoo is super cute! And don't need to keep the plastic on it for a week XD just the first night is good enough! Just keep it clean and put vitamin e or other hydration without scents on it
