I’ve been to 19 NHL arenas, and my least favorite arena was Staples Center for the Kings (I think it has a new name now). Mullett arena was unique for a one time visit, and is a really good College venue, but it is not an NHL venue.
Edmonton Roger's place is quite nice and very accessible.
Enterprise Center in St. Louis has been remodeled and feels like a brand new arena.
This guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Don’t waste your time
As a Sabres fan I do agree they do need upgrades and they seriously do need better in game experiences and maybe better theme nights like Star Wars night or something…yes us Sabres fans love hockey but the experience going to a game isn’t there sadly
Yaaa. I’ve heard rumors that after the Bills Stadium is built they might, “MIGHT,” start talks with the city about upgrading Keybank Center. As far as ticket sales go it’s not as bad as many think. similar to when Bills had their postseason drought ticket sales aren’t what they use to be but they aren’t at the bottom of the league either. They also went up at the end of this season as no one thought the Sabres would be that close to ending the streak.
As a passionate Bruins fan, it’s hard to not get defensive over the TD Garden… the atmosphere during games is ELECTRIC, especially this season. All in all tho, I can’t be too mad. Personal opinion is personal opinion 🤷🏻♂️
There have always been Bruins haters, he just one more. Go B's!🐻🐻
TheVerizon center in Washington is much worse than TD Boston Garden
Between 1982-1995 Concerts from the big artists and a lot events all went to Worcester while the new Garden brought them all back to Boston. As much as I loved the old Garden it was outdated, dirty, and needed to go.
@@tpark2316 I’ve never been to a Caps game there, but I’ve gone to other events there, and Verizon Center is a nice arena
@@willisapril a lot of big artist still go to Gillette… nothing pisses me off more than seeing clips of artists at Gillette (which is in Worcester, about a half hour or so outside of Boston) saying something like “HOW ARE WE DOING BOSTON???”
The FLA Live Arena in Sunrise, Fla. may be in a location that's less than ideal, but there's no way that it could be 45 minutes from Fort Lauderdale. It might be closer to half an hour or so. The Panthers need to be closer to Fort Lauderdale because where they play is a little out of the way for most people in South Florida.
If the Islanders were still playing at Brooklyn's Barclay's Center that would be an easy #1!!
100%. Everyone hated it from the players to the fans.
That place was the absolute worst to watch a hockey game.
It was designed for basketball primarily. Unfortunately hockey was an afterthought. The designers didn't even notice that about 5 thousand upper level seats at one end were going to have a blocked view of the ice below. I'm glad they Islanders finally have their own arena now.
You mention putting the team in downtown Charlotte, but if they ever did that, the team would be long gone from North Carolina. Charlotte’s hockey base is very…. Minute. The arena itself will start a $250M renovation this summer, and they also have plans for around $900M in surrounding site development and transit upgrades to make the arena more accessible and desirable
Thanks for the watch and excellent point! Even with the number of Northeastern transplants down there, you don't think this would be viable?
@@vagabondhockey6761 likely not. Some games would be good but those games against teams like Dallas wouldn’t sell well.
In Charlotte it’s Uptown not downtown 😁
Yeah, hockey is popular in Raleigh, 57+ thousand for the stadium event and 24,000 for a. NC State vs UNC game... Charlotte doesn't draw that many for an AHL game.
@@vagabondhockey6761 The Raleigh area has more Northeastern transplants than Charlotte. Back in the 80s and 90s a number of businesses from the Northeast and Canada (IBM, NorTel) relocated or opened US headquarters in the Raleigh area. Those folks that made the move had kids and those kids were brought up with the NHL in Raleigh as a thing. Now, those kids are adults and form the core of the fan base. As far as TV markets go, Charlotte really isn't much of a step up. Charlotte is #22 in the US, Raleigh is #23, which is bigger than St. Louis, Pittsburgh, Nashville, Columbus, Las Vegas, and Buffalo.
Also, it is true that the PNC Arena is not downtown, but it is still in Raleigh, not a suburb, about 15 minutes from anywhere in the city or more affluent suburbs.
Having been to PNC Arena multiples upon multiples of times, I have to disagree with your take. PNC has to be one of the best in the NHL, it's loud, exciting and the fanbase in Raleigh is top tier. It's got a good location and I think moving to Charlotte would be a big mistake. There isn't a bad seat in the arena, no matter where you sit you can follow the game easily and see the giant video board which is helpful for watching replays and such, The concourses are pretty wide and easy to navigate and the food is great, it's a little expensive but what arena food isn't? If you've made it this far.... Thanks!
Almost think he's a Charlotte resident with an inferiority complex, because we all know Charlotte, and the Carolina Panthers, suck.
@@erichammond9308 Yeah.
I agree, it's great atmosphere and putting it in Charlotte would just put the team on the back burner as far as that city is concerned.
If they relocate it somewhere else in Raleigh, or develop the land behind it, I'd like to see some shops/restaurants within walking distance for people who don't want to tailgate.
Dude, they upgraded Enterprise Center in St.Louis, its very nice arena in the leauge. Your list is wrong.
100 percent correct about Honda Center. Place is stuck in 1993 style and design. Despite recent multi million dollar “upgrades”
Have there really been recent upgrades? Hard to tell 😛
*The Pond
Idk, I think Honda Center is great. You make it sound like it's Nassau Coliseum.
FLALive Arena charges high parking prices but a free lot is across the street 😂
The Enterprise center was built to replace the old barn The St Louis Arena. Enterprise Center had renovations it just needs some cleaning and the bathroom issue was The St.Louis Arenas problem not Enterprise center.
Yeah idk wtf this dude is talking about. Enterprise Center is beautiful inside now
@Alex Schneider exactly, and so was the other building aswell.
@Alex Schneider facts man, the purple seats was 😳
Scotia Bank Arena in Toronto isn’t a great place to watch a hockey game. Seats in the upper deck lack leg room. The concourses are far too narrow, and there are not enough bathrooms to service those in attendance. If don’t bail early on a period, you’re going to wait for most of the intermission for relief.
I'm not even a blues fan but the enterprise center is definitely one of the best arenas I've been to, it is definitely better than all of these.
I don't understand why it was mentioned either. None of strikes against it made any sense.
Enterprise Center is in need of renovations? Bruh, they rehauled the entire arena after the Blues won the Cup. It’s extremely modern feeling and has plenty of bathrooms. Who knows what to believe about what you said about every other arena because I know for a fact you didn’t do your research on Enterprise Center lmao
How is the Enterprise Center on this? I was there last year. It just underwent multiple phases of renovations. I had no problem finding a bathroom. My seat had plenty of leg room. There is nothing wrong with it. I can't wait to go back.
Just fyi, Enterprise Center was renovated massively from 2018-2020. Much larger concourses, better food options, a much better scoreboard, etc. It's a lot better than it once was, having seen both the pre-renovation Scottrade Center and post-renovation present venue, it's pretty clear it shouldn't be on this list anymore.
Not to mention the broken screens at the CTC. It needs upgrades if its going to stay
The SaddleDome is falling down, Falling down Falling down! The SaddleDome is falling down, my fair lady!
NY governor was asked about KBC in Buffalo during the Bills Stadium renovation conversations, and she said litteraly nothing about it. To this day, I am furious about the fact that nobody has done anything about it.
But at least it didn't make the list lol
0:32 literally five of the six original teams share with an nba team, what are you talking about?
The Blues area is Enterprise Center.
First of all Raleigh is pronounced Rah-Lee not Rally. Second of all PNC Arena isn't in the suburbs its 15 minutes from downtown and is inside the city limits. The Hurricanes also have a higher attendance than the Hornets so moving to Charlotte would be dumb.
As a sens fan i really like the rink that we have but in comparison to all the other rinks throughout the league i cant even begin to try to defend ours. A new down town rink would be very much needed.
Enterprise center isn’t mid 90s dude. It was renovated only a few years back. It’s a great arena to watch a game in.
Honda Center is a nice arena, it just doesn’t have that atmosphere bc the ducks are not good. The arena is very nice tho
Mullet arena is amazing for a college team but not for nhl
I moved to Washington right before they changed arenas, but I grew up with the Arizona Coyotes. I grew up going to the Jobing Arena, all the way in Glendale, Arizona. Shortly before the Yotes moved, it was renamed to Gila River Arena. I loved that arena.
Now this new arena makes me sad, and I haven't even been in it yet.
And Utah's rink then?
the honda center is at lost better than the crumbledome 💀
Why does everyone bag on Ottawa? From a CIT ( Certified Ice Technician ) stand, the ice surface is top notch.
I could go on, Go Sens Go !!!!!
I’m not surprised that my home team is number 2 that arena. When ever I got to a game the oldness really shines
Agree about the Sabers Keybank Center. It needs some more mojo but It’s also obvious why the Pegaulas had no choice but to address the Bills stadium first cause as old as Keybank Center is The Ralph was decades older and also the more expensive of the two. Hopefully it’ll get addressed sooner than later.
Honestly as a canes fan I agree with the ranking but their fan base is different so they should get some love!
I agree with Honda Center. It needs an update!
Tbh i know that’s your opinion but come on bro pnc arena is no that bad very fun there we are very nice to and loud and can sometimes be mean the the away team if they stay in there zone for to long but still this is my opinion I think pnc arena shouldn’t be in the bad category tho
Thanks for watching and dropping a comment!
Fair point! When the Canes are playing well, it's a great atmosphere.
Other than location, there isn't anything wrong with FLA Live Arena.
It's a great place to watch hockey... for there really isn't a bad seat anywhere in the arena.
No offense, but Mullet Arena isn’t even considered as an NHL arena because it is a college hockey arena. If you were to put them somewhere at least put them back in Phoenix’s Footprint Center where they started from 1996-2003
I thought the Honda center was be the number one worst arena
The only redeeming quality of PNC Arena is how noisy it can get...
Enterprise Center just went through a massive arena that made it a lot better than what it was. Lasted 3 years
Sure, it is a multi-use arena built in the '90s, but what does it lack that a "state of the art" arena have? It not as dated as the cookie cutter baseball-football stadiums (like old Busch Stadium) were in the '90s.
So is mullet bad or just small? The arena is not far from standards (if at all) it’s just horrifically small. The only things it misses out on are being currently fixed or do not impact fan experience. Many fans have absolutely loved mullet which can’t be said for other arenas on the list.
Don't you mean the Scotiabank Pringle Dome
Canadian Tire Center really sucks ass, just last month we were sitting behind the net about 6th or 7th rows up behind first row seats. We didn't even hear 3 goal posts until we watched the highlights.
Don't you also find it weird how the Panthers don't have an Arena name around Center Ice? It just looks so.. naked? lol
dear uploader,
FYI, the flames and the senators are planning to build brand new arenas in downtown area soon. your comment is nonsense.
Well I stopped watching when you stated old problems with the Enterprise Center. You obviously have no idea what you are talking about. They just renovated it. You lost all credibility when you didn't do your homework.
Hi there, I am a gentleman that lives in Ottawa and you are absolutely incorrect about what you said about the Canadian tire centre in Ottawa. The arena is NOT 45 minutes away from downtown Ottawa. Very incorrect.
According to Apple Maps it’s 27 minutes from Downtown Ottawa to the Canadian Tire Center mid morning. It took 10 seconds to find out that information. The Sens need to be downtown as soon as possible.
I always knew it was quite a way from Ottawa's core, but 45 MINUTES?! That runs counter to what I had read before. Even though Kanata's now part of Ottawa proper, it's still effectively a distant suburb and while The Palace at Auburn Hills (Mich.) was a decent inspiration for the arena, the CTC imitated it in too many ways. I've read that it's a pain in the ass to get to by both personal vehicle and public transit. I hope the Sens can get a venue closer to downtown and Eugene Melnyk's death should make that process easier for them.
Have you been to TD Garden recently? As in since they dropped half a billion to update, modernize and add amenities to it?
When my 2 favorite teams are 10 and 9
The Saddle Dome is a good Arena that centrally located
Lol Carolina had one of the highest total attendance this season and have. Sold out pretty much every game.
i find it verry funny that mullet arena has only 200 seara more capacity than a swiss third tier arena for comparison only two arenas in the highest league in switzerland have more. than 10000 ppl capacity and mullet arena has the almost same as a team from the third highest league
How can Winnipeg not be on this list?!?!?!?!?!
Centralized yes, in a new entertainment hub. Dangerous city, can't attract players...
the arena is small and cramped...a minor league venue.
Hi Ryan,
Thanks for watching and adding to the discussion. Interesting points you make. The arena is also on the smaller side for an NHL rink, right?
@@vagabondhockey6761 yep... I do admit though, I am bias against Winnipeg lol I was there when the Winnipeg jets left the 1st time. I watched them come back in the MTS center. It has great atmosphere, but it has taken them a long time to update the in game Bells and whistles.
They have put together an entertaining team, but the rink is just too small.
@@ryananderson5202 it's small yes, but also in one of the smallest cities, plus they are making pretty good profit off of it if I remember correctly for it's size
Winnipeg is dangerous?
Ryan Anderson AKA Gary Bettman. I bet you'd say any arena the Coyotes play in is the best arena in the NHL.
Raleigh > Charlotte in every way.
You should have put Scotia Bank Arena (Toronto) on this list because the entire Greater Toronto Area (GTA) is the poop hole of the universe.
LOL GTA
I hear TD Garden is great for basketball!
No it doesn't hurt my feelings thank you
Its Enterprise Center Not Enterprise arena
"Rally"? really? if that's how you are going to pronounce our CAPITAL city, you cannot move here
Can you show us on the doll where Enterprise Center touched you??
There will be playoff hockey in Mullett arena!!!
okay im a panthers fan in miami and no fuck that thank god its in sunrise if it wasnt it would be in downtown miami witch is a nightmare to drive in and hell for parking look at marlins park that place is worse and its in downtown miami
Panthers one is wrong bb and t arena is really nice
I like TD Garden.
Its pronaunced Ka-na-ta 3:06
The Prudential Center in New Jersey should be on this list, too.
Prudential center is just a middle of the pack arena. Not among the worst or best. Only real negative is the food is among the worst in the league. Having been to almost half the NHL arenas at this point, Prudential is dead in the middle of the pack. Most of the NHL arenas weren't built for hockey specifically, Pru is one of the rare ones that was.
Other middle of the pack arenas in my opinion: Ball Arena Denver, Shark Tank San Jose (although one of the loudest), and Verizon Center DC.
My favorites: Bridgestone in Nashville, T mobile arena in Vegas (loudest), and the new Edmonton Oilers Arena. Have not been to Seattle's yet or Little Ceasar's in detroit both of which ive heard good things.
sens have better arenathen that
Bruins are the best team in the world 🌎
Mullet Arena best
I'm shocked the Saddledome is NUMBER TWO!! Since 2013, I've called the Saddledome a condemned building thanks to the flood. The Flames should have either moved to Houston or returned to Atlanta back in 2018 but, as of 2023, THEY'RE STILL IN CALGARY!!!!! MOVE THE DAMN TEAM ASAP!!!!! I hate to admit this, but I have crossed that catwalk many times when I covered the Hitmen (who should relocate too) during my college years.
Not surprised about Ottawa being on the list either. The original owners wanted the arena (originally called The Palladium) to be part of a planned community that never got past the arena stage. The only other developments near the Canadian Tire Centre are an auto mall and a outlet mall.
Hard to believe there are a few arenas that opened AFTER the Saddledome (cough, condemned building) that showing their age and might need to be replaced (and probably will) before Calgary does anything.
Your so wrong the Bruins stadium is the best
0:19 I’m a cats fan but what’s your beef with TD Garden? A lot of People in Boston love that place.
Clown
