Founded by Paul Whittington, PWM was born from a desire to capture and reproduce the ineffable, interweaving spirits of inspiration and innovation that precede every musician’s lifelong sonic odyssey. Their Mantis hybrid synthesizer was designed in collaboration with the late Chris Huggett, the visionary artist and engineer who cofounded Electronic Dream Plant and whose sought-after synths are mainstays of many musicians to this day. The Mantis channels Huggett’s pension for exploration as digital oscillators collide with analog processing, resulting in a dual-dimensional architecture that merges multitudes of synthesis engineering into a singular duophonic instrument. Yea I think I found the synth I want. Been looking for the past couple of days and while I know this won't touch the 3rd wave capability wise, I LOVE the sounds and parameters available here.

Oscar shouts out in this and I love it. I have far too many Mono Synths (not really) and this I thought would be just another but hearing it and looking at the options it's far more than just another Mono Synth. Look forward to when they are available in the UK.

What I have been meditating on for about a year as of April 2024 is a portable synthesizer with bigger keys than my microKorg XL & KARP Odyssey but with patch memory and aftertouch. Might Manta be it?
It has been a long time since I was this excited about a synth and its voice architecture. I do wish they had gone with a BBD with delay, chorus, and flange modes instead of onboard reverb.

So glad to see this synth coming to fruition, I know the main developer working on it, great work!!
There is something special in the 4K videos filmed in “jumpy” 24 FPS. A simple and basic camera pan (00:19) manages to become unwatchable no matter of highest quality of every single frame.
Speaking with the audio metaphors comprehensible by the audio engineers,... it's like you made a recording with 32-bit floating point. But in 22050 Hz.
When will this be in the store in the states?

Hi lagriveromain. One is a semi-modular monophonic synth with lots of patch points, the other is a 4-note paraphonic synth with presets, but no patch points. Thanks for watching! -_Daniel_
