- Making your own bridal bouquet is something special! In this video Mike Boerma shows one way to create a beautiful bridal bouquet using an Oasis Bridal Bouquet Holder (Specifically the "Lady").
Using a lovely color palette with rustic looking flowers and greens, this becomes quite the romantic bouquet!
Mike Boerma is a fifth generation florist and one of the teachers of the Boerma Instituut. He has inherited a passion for the art of floristry and traveled around the globe to teach it to enthousiasts and professionals alike.
The Boerma Instituut is a floristry school, founded by Theo Boerma in 1980 and is specialized in Dutch Floral Desig and on the practical side of things. Not long after it's foundation the school started to teach in English as well and on location around internationally.

Hi Mike you just gave me a great idea. Take the Bridal handled foam and place them in Wine bottles for table centerpieces, they may need to be altered bot a super cost saving for BOHO weddings.
That's a wonderful idea!
Just make sure the bottles are filled with water so that they won't be top heavy!

How do you hook with wire?
Hey Terrie,
Thanks for the question!
So first I pushed the wire through, until a point that it close to the framing of the bridy.
Then I cut the wire so that only about 2-3cm stuck out and then I just bend/fold the wire over the framing, back inside the oasis.
That creates the hook.
A bit difficult to explain in words, but I hope you understand what I'm trying to say :P

Since our school is an international one, we try to only use the latin names, because no matter where you travel to you can get the flowers by their latin names from the wholesaler.
But, I understand the confusion, it sounds very similar.
