Antirrhinum, it's the latin name ;) Since our school is an international one, we try to only use the latin names, because no matter where you travel to you can get the flowers by their latin names from the wholesaler. But, I understand the confusion, it sounds very similar. - Mike

You're right! But normally there's more of a magenta/pinkish color in between, which would make for a softer transition. This purple is also on the oposite side of the yellow on the color wheel and is quite cool in temperature in comparison to the other colors. So that makes it a bit contrasty as well. Color contrast and color temperature contrast. - Mike

Hi! That's biodegradable foam from Oasis! It's 91% biodegradable, so still a work in progress, but they're getting there! So no clay, though we do sometimes use that for dry flowers or as decoration. - Mike

An asymmetric design is a design that is not symmetrical. So what is a symmetric design? Basically, a symmetric design is the same on both sides if you would draw a line in the middle. You can have variations of asymmetry. You can have a design with a symmetric silhouet with asymmetric flower placement, or a completely asymmetric silhouet. Hope that makes sense! - Mike
