The lockpicking is really a test of how much input lag your system has. I'm playing on both PC and Luna (streamed) and while streaming it, it takes me like 14 tries to nail the rhythm, and on PC is like plip-plip-plop, I'm in.

@@bradenmitchell5565 You calibrate yourself by the third time you have to do it. All these gameplays are showing "the first minutes" of the experience, in which Kay sucks big time. Your speeder is slow, your aim sucks, your hacking is primitive, your lockpicking is subpar (but that's on you, there's no upgrades I've found so far) Your vessel is basic and requires tons of work to go chasing those orbital missions. It's a game you need to put time into for it to live up to its premise. If you go burning the main quest only, not only is short, it may become frustrating.
The second senario was extremely realistic, i too would ignore my guard duties and not hear my buddy getting beaten up if a cute little creature did a tiny dance. 10/10 realistic ai

There's a setting to change the symbols for numbers iirc, but it takes off the immersion even more. Same with Sabbacc cards. What I'm a bit pissed is that the only penalty for not breaching the terminal within the allotted sockets is merely getting less (or none at all) credits.

The "trainwreck" comes from the hilarious volume of glitches I've seen watching streams in real time, not compilations. Getting stuck in geometry, AI breaks, pathfinding errors, inappropriate animations, etc. In two streams I watched, a major break happened every 10 minutes at least. Oh, and sequence breaks. That was a thing too, haha! Aside from that, most of the design choices were baffling to me. Wordle falls into that, but I didn't know you could make it actual wordle.

Level design and the whole atmosphere is SO spot on on this game that put others to shame (providing you dig the OG trilogy aesthetics, creature design and combat sequences, with all its goofyness). I'm in the minority (on the internet at least) that's vocal about how I like this game, but it is what it is. I won't convince you (or anyone, for that matter) because if you don't like these type of games (that prioritize the ambience over other stuff), more akin to The Division, FarCry and Watchdogs, you won't enjoy this game no matter what.

Her blaster has stun mode and the game could just rely on that as a tool of non-lethal takedowns. But Massive just had to make the ridiculous melee takedown animations.

This has to be a post-updated one. In the earlier days, you were forced to go in stealth mode and if they saw you, you’re “CAUGHT” and thrown out… that’s it, you couldn’t kill them or guns blazing for hideout

The thing is I've found combat to be easier now, and the WANTED status resets quicker... I had a weird occurrence in which I literally blasted everything and everyone in one room, alarms screaming, full on alert, an after crossing the door, people on the next room were like chilling. It used to be Storm Troopers going door to door searching for you. Maybe I need to up the difficulty to get that thrill back.
A lot of other people making a really big deal out of Stormtroopers getting knocked out by her fists, but it's not even close to the first time something ridiculous has knocked them out. Remember Ewoks? XD
They should have had Kay shoot enemies with the stun setting on her blaster or at least give her a cybernetic arm or an electrostaff. Her fisting all these guards with her bare hands is just kinda silly.

Thats why there's this whole overheating mechanic so you can't just go fully auto and need to upgrade it. Its a bit of a story contrivance to make a stealth video game work in a world where you have all sorts of ranged stun equipment. Also, you can find a stun baton later but its for bigger enemies. don't know - I totally get the bad reviews. The stealth was annoying and hard at first (and it sucked that you had to restart so far away) and made the game boring, but once you got upgraded I found it fun. So they just made it too hard to start out with in my opinion. Big learning curve.
Their first test at letting the same AI that created the game be in the game didn't go as planned, so they decided to recoup their losses as much as they could by saying it's the first "AAAA" game. I mean the most adaptive and adept part of the game is shooting plants....
Yep accurate, also as soon as I unlocked the power module it was over that’s all I use now and just one shot everyone from miles away (and if you don’t miss they don’t know you’re there)

There is the stun blast you can use but it has a cooldown that makes it only useful for emergency KO's
