this is definately one of those "i didnt expect to like it that much" movies for me. I'm usually more into the horror movies with some kind of supernatural element, but this really broke the mold for me!
“He could’ve just brought the police to the park!” Ahaha no. Among the realistic stuff here is the fact that the police are MASSIVELY unhelpful. Speaking as someone who got stalked for about half a year, when I went to the police they were just like “well. Okay. Call us if something happens.” So when something else DID happen (my stalker started threatening another friend of mine in addition to me) I went back to the police and they just found more excuses not to help me. I probably wouldn’t watch the film myself as most horror movies aren’t my thing, but this was fascinating. The fact that the guy gets killed in broad daylight in a public place is definitely the wildest way this could have ended, I think.
Sorry all that happened to you :/ Hope things are better now. Yea, the ending was my favorite part. Just so unexpected and eerie how slowly it all happens
@@PixelsAfterDark It’s all right. Everything’s fine now-we eventually got the stalker to leave us alone (there’s always a worry that they’ll come back, but it’s been a long time and no sign of them since). The stuff about the police you showed in the movie just kinda made me laugh bitterly and think “yep, that’s how it goes.” (I hope my original comment didn’t come across as insulting toward you or anything-was just more bitterly thinking about how unhelpful the police can be.)
my mom’s ex was violating a no contact order put in place after he beat the piss out of my mom & he was initially charged with aggravated stalking but for whatever reason the DA dropped the charge once my mom died. as if he didn’t do anything wrong since she was dead…. i hope he never gets the chance to lay his hands on someone else but, if he does, the DA will be just as at-fault as him
911 Operator or the police? If a cop gave excuses to avoid helping you, you should have got the name and badge number then report him. Not all police are like this obviously but you just happened to get unlucky

wow this was honestly incredible, it feels so weirdly real how Joseph commented on the fact that Aaron didnt look behind him the whole time he was slowly walking towards him at the end there
@@PixelsAfterDark he was in a movie that was extremely emotional and I highly recommend it. Not horror but just insanely good. It’s called Paddleton. I know it sounds weird but definitely, definitely watch it.
I love horror movies , and i usually don't feel too scared watching them. But when i watched Creep. Man , i was FRIGHTENED. I felt so uncomfortable. Especially after Aaron had that phone call with Angela and "Josef" was nowhere to be found. Or when "Josef" was wearing the mask and guarding/rubbing against that door.
I came here to comment exactly on this. This movie is a brilliant mix of true psychological horror and comedy, everything from peachfuzz to tub time and Josef's self-inflicted jumpscare makes it hilarious in a twisted way while horrifying as you usually put yourself in the camera man's shoes. Masterpiece
I remember watching this movie years ago and not really understanding it properly until I watched this video, my mind had really been blown away now that I've actually had somebody explain the plot and meanings of little hints and things I should've opened my mind up to throughout watching it. Coming from someone who doesn't understand many things with movies and shows, you really did a good job on helping me understand this movie whole
A Found Footage Film I would really like to recommend is a movie called "Be My Cat." It's a movie revolving around a guy hiring some women to prove his directing skills for Anne Hathaway, and the guy is extremely unhinged and ends up being the most uncomfortable movie I have ever seen.
As someone who's done films similar to this I would gotten more information upfront for tax reasons and would have left at the end of the first day. Aaron seems old enough and with enough profession experience to make a similar choice. The fact he gave in to Josef's pressure to stay makes the character seem weak willed, which I think is the point Josef makes at the end, from his perspective he gives his victims lots of warning.

Wow, glad I stumbled on your channel. You are obviously a very young man, but this is one of the best expressed and most nuanced analyses I have seen of Creep - one of my favorite horror films - by anyone. Subscribed. The one and only bit of obvious malarkey that somewhat took me out of this film was the idea that Joseph found that incredible Peach Fuzz mask at a 99 cent store, lol. That should’ve been a “bullshit” flag for Aaron right there.
Creep 2 video when? :> I've showed this movie to a few friends and they all loved it lol More people need to know about the Creep franchise. I'd love to see a trilogy happen some day :c
I watched this years ago one rainy day scrolling through Netflix out of boredom, and it always stuck with me. Glad to see one of my favorite UA-camrs talk about it.
Most of the creep tapes are pretty good too, my favorites were the peachfuzz fight club episode and the mom episode. Just when they start to get repetitive each episode has something unique about it
It was probably scripted in a way that was very vague, to get more honest reactions, making them think about how they would react in the situation based on their role in the movie. A film made from two people that were doing their best to create a found footage film, who in turn made a movie with some good acting.
Totally agree, I did not expect to enjoy this as much as I did and only watched it a few months back. I loved the second film too and can't wait for the new series!! Joseph is weirdly attractive and I love Peach Fuzz!!

Not gonna lie, I lowkey regret watching this one sitting here alone in the dark at 4am. Never seen the movie before but man you hit all the high points and just by a random stroke of unfortunate coincidence that wolf mask is the exact same one my dad got one Halloween when I was about 5 or 6 that absolutely terrified me as a child. He only wore it around me one time and even though he was talking to me and trying to calm me down and being a loving dad that mask freaked me the fuck out for whatever reason, to the point that he threw it away because I was just full on traumatized by it. I think it stems from getting attacked by a chow when I was like 2 years old, but jesus seeing that mask again has me massively, I mean massively struggling to engage logical real world brain and not go into a full blown panic attack.
Just a question, but have you seen Creep 2, and if so what did you think about it? Creep is personally my favorite film if all time, and I think the second one is almost as good.
I think Creep 2 is great as it’s own film, but much of the mystery and eeriness gets taken away after watching Creep 1. It’s pretty much the same movie, except we know who Josef is.

I know the police are unhelpful, but when it comes to serial killers in this day and age, I mean...? Come on, broad daylight? No, I don't buy it. There's no WAY the police wouldn't pick up on that. And if they were just letting it slide, people would have figured that out by then, and surely there would've been some sort of societal uprising of sorts. Honestly it would make a whole ton of more sense if the ending was actually just Aaron's fear of what would have happened if he just sat there staring off into the horizon like he's actually depicted as doing in the scene.
For one, police aren't that helpful. Even if you had all the evidence you needed, they would still refuse to help. This is why you hire private investigators, bodyguards, or hell even call the firefighters/ EMT. Two, a lot of major crimes/ felonies do happen in places and times you would never expect them.
