The Matterhorn is something else.. I've spent a lot of time in and around that area but never actually been to Zermatt, just booked myself a trip away at the end of Jan though staying in Lauterbrunnen.
Can I ask when this was? Going to Switzerland in March and wondering if I need to pivot to the french alps for better snow (I keep hearing the snowfall has been limited this year). This does look pretty fine though to me, what did you think?
This was filmed on January 21st and it had last snowed on the 18th so it was coming to the end of the good stuff but definitely still enjoyable. We left on the 22nd and it could have definitely done with another snow dump then.
This makes me want to go skiing

what happened to the descent from the teodulpass lift (italy) to switzerland?
Yeah that part is always icy cause it's mostly in the shadows.
Geeez that's just mainly trail runs... is that the whole story? Due to poor snow?
what do you mean by trail runs?
@@auschin funds that follow roads or paths down around the face of the mountain rather than straight down
Far to steep for me, and far to fast as well.
What is this trail classified as? A blue?
All reds technically but they were quite easy and struggle free. The only trouble is the ice towards the bottom I'd say
Much of the skiing is above tree line. The snow is wind blown crust. Not quality skiing
