First censored rock and roll #1 hit. I'd love to know what got censored! Your suffering is over, Mr Price. 88 years. My my! Thank you for the gift of your music.
I don't like the music that Arrangement they are playing sounds like some of the musicians are trying to play rock and roll and some of them are trying to play early 70s Soul it's not coming together too well, then the organ is trying to bring gospel into it. They're doing everything except Beer Barrel polka. And it's good as Lloyd is, he is singing out of key most of the time
@@dss2856 Yes! And the crowd knows it, that's why they are comatose! Then the church organ throws in gospel! These people are doing everything accept beer barrel polka!
What a great performance. Two legends- Lloyd Price and John Fogarty. Priceless.
And the great Paul Shaffer band is awesome as well !
Wonderful! RIP Mr Personality, Lloyd Price.
Always one of my personal favorite's from a very early age
Call it R&B or call it rock'n'roll, it's the real thing!
So glad Lloyd Price was inducted! Great singer and a great personality and stage presence!

One of the greats
i have a 78 RPM by Lloyd Price singing Just Because.
Thats Awesome!
American music at it's best!
And the great ALLEN TOUSSAINTS!
You made it to 88 RIP Lloyd RIP
❤
Allen Toussaint and Johnnie Johnson (Chuck Berry's keyboard player). Tom Bones Malone: "I did the chart and played baritone sax."
Up The Irons!!!! 🤘
This bad! Glad they made some money!
It's obvious that Roy Wood was inspired by "Stagger Lee." when he wrote the 1972 Wizzard hit "Ball Park Incident"
Don’t forget Roy Hamilton too
Trying hard to find the Black Lips studio recording of this song.
Ron Jeremy on the trumpet!!
I hear rock and roll music but I don't see a rock and roll audience.
RIP Mr Personality
"With John Fogerty"? Really? How about "with Allen Toussaint"!
Toussaint wasn't singing counterpoint.
Who is on drums?
Rip mr personality
No one noticed they messed up the end?????
Revisiting this... RIP. Best version....but too much Fogerty on this detracts from Credence!
One of these guys passed away today , but I can't figure out which one.
Lloyd Price
RIP Lloyd Price ... what a legend!

The backing vocals are fecking horrible.

Well, obviously this wasn't reheased or practiced. But look at their faces. Every one of them is having a blast! That is what it's all about.
you must be drunk
They sound terrible here. Really off key!
But they're having fun, and that's what R&R is all about.
Kind of a flat mix.
