Thanks for the memories I remember preparing 38 class at Enfield as well as all other steam locos
I worked with Ron while I was at eveliegh then I went to Enfield good memories of working the flyer with a38 class a fast trip
i have to say this can be a great sequel to a film that was 32 years old in 2006
i like this sequl to an iconic film
This is shortened. I think some of the night scenes have been cut.I used to watch it on VHS, it is a brilliant short film.
My parents got me a VHS of this (and other Aussie railway films) when I was 4!!! It's what got me into trains!!!
I think your thinking of A Steam Train Passes from the 1970’s, which you can find on UA-cam also.
great to see another version of the original Steam Train Passes and just as well done!
This is a great video. Some of those views make me feel very emotional. Some of the country reminds me so much of my childhood, and, watching 3801 go past. The music is a bit irritating.
wish you named it to a steam train passed 2 to make this a sequl but the movie makes up for it
Is it the filming that acounts for two very different shades of green on the engine or were there actually tow different piantjobs?
ps i like the tribute sequl
the music is great! i dont know what these people are talking about.
2 trains? 1 with green engine and water tanker; the other with grey engine and no tank car. Que pasa?
George Grassby The green and grey are the same train just in different colour scheme depending on when each video was taken.
It's explained that there's footage included of 3801 wearing some rare wartime grey paint (probably hauling a memorial train or summat)
The music in and of itself is a great piece of Australian composition BUT the way it’s used here is all wrong.
The music is Russian - composed by Rachmaninov
wrong music , great video
