Would be interested to see how this performs on track. Not too convinced at this stage it could take an M3. Maybe with some suspension mods and tyre upgrades
Nice work I have mine coming. First thing I saw was the seat durability and your the first to mention it too amongst hundreds of videos I’ve seen at this point lol
Thanks! I find that reviewers often don’t consider durability which is something I always wonder especially with the influx of new brands on the market. Glad this was helpful for you!
@@VoltEVReviewsAU yeah. I really wish they kept the prior vegan leather or something better. I believe the current seats are Faux Leather which is cheaper and far less durable.
I dont like that the wheels have a different pattern from left to right... because they use the same wheel for each side.. cant believe they didnt think about this. Left side brakes are likely to overheat if they let it configured like this
The air intakes on the front bumper are NOT upgrades, all Model 3 from 2023 and older had those intakes. Only the new Highland Model 3 refresh has no intake for both the standard and long range, only the Performance has the intakes. Same with the rear spoiler, the old Performance model also had it.
Yes and no. The older performance versions had both but not exactly these. Whether they are upgrades Vs. prior model in for debate, I think they are improved at least
The performance improvement over the previous gen for Chinese made model 3’s is a let down. Suspension upgrade is nice but it’s not enough to tempt me to spend more over the long range unfortunately.
It’s the same speed China / US made. 0-60mph is only 0-96kmh hence the difference in time. Correct about the battery, US may get an acceleration boost in future
@@Charlie_pilks is it though? Why is there a 50 horsepower difference? Is it regional software locks or the different battery manufacturer and composition?

It's 2.9, 0 to 60 MPH in the U.S.
M3 Killer

Red looks great, looking forward to driving it . Wonder do the adaptive dampers make a difference
Main thing I want to try out as well!
It it dives smoother like model s I’ll be in love
Car is stunning! Can’t find a better sedan for the price that would give you as much ( quiet. Savings. Power. Expected longevity. Low maintenance )

He gave a 0 - 100 km acceleration time, but that would be equivalent to a 0 - 62.14 mph acceleration time.

Very interesting, I didn't notice that. How is the pattern different?
Car looks amazing!! I say the white seats over the black seats.
Haven’t had a chance to see the performance white seats, but I’m sure they look fantastic
Interesting with the updated icons on the steering wheel, I wonder if they have done anything to the buttons too, like haptic feedback and actuation.
That’s a great question - from my experience the haptic feedback and actuation was identical to the RWD/LR car
Can't wait to get mine next month!
Congrats!! Which colour did you get it in?
Same! I got mine in the new red color with black and white interior!
Got mine in white @@VoltEVReviewsAU
I ordered red one as well with black interior I wanted white interior cause the car exterior red and black I didn’t want to change it
Where those things say ‘non-functional’ it doesn’t mean they don’t work. It means they are just lights giving information, not buttons.
Thanks for clarifying! This was the point I was trying to get across. Didn’t feel like I explained it properly when I watched the video back
The performance I have has been a night mare with the tire sidewalls blowing out or bubbling if you drive on rough roads.
Ahh dang sorry to hear :( which year is your performance?
Great video! Music/Narration needs tuning. Music is way too loud compared to your voice levels. Otherwise, great vid.
Thanks for the feedback! Will be sure to take it onboard for the next video 😁

When are you ordering yours mate?
I’ll need to double my salary before I could cop one of these 😅 I do have the 2024 RWD model 3 though
So no tire rotations as they are staggered?
No
Excellent question, one I didn't consider at the time, but as mentioned, unfortunately not
You could strip and swap sides, but not rotate front to back.

Agreed. I'd be interested to see how this one drives. On the other hand, the Ioniq 5 N is looking like quite the fun car.
🤔 Air curtains on a ‘23 RWD nose and then only return in ‘24 performance.
Would’ve been great for efficiency on the base car 😕
Nice orange peel in the paint. Maybe that was the very first one off the line. You need to pay extra for that much orange peel : )
Tell me about it 😅 Being the first off the line might explain it
What chip new ???
Name chip ??
Great question, I believe it is the same chip in the current model 3 and Y
JOKES ON US INSURANCE IS 240$ PER MONTH AND MY CAR IS WORTH 15K LESS THANKS TO THE PRICES ALL OVER THE PLACE
😓 Maybe a policy that has an agreed value option will help?
2.9 0-60 usa version 510hp, ain't no 450hp eu shit
Not in Australia. They are getting the same car as Europe with the battery made in China and it has a slower 0-60.
Wow that sucks

This sounds like the most plausible explanation I've come across - Software locked acceleration/top speed
@@Charlie_pilks is it though? Why is there a 50 horsepower difference? Is it regional software locks or the different battery manufacturer and composition?
should be lower. Too high
Room to lowered/bigger wider tyres heh
Too bad EVs seem to be the main source of microplastics. So much for the environment...
