🤣 that would have helped mate, tide was coming in hence we set up far from the water, its just not meant to be. I've fished there many times and used my usual fishing tactics and style never lost a fish. On to the next session. Thanks for watching 👍

Just an observation bud, the speed in which you reel in is rapid, what is the reason for this? Been fishing over thirty years and only ever reel in that quick when fishing over rough ground.
Thanks for the input bud 👍 watching it back now I'm retrieving it slightly faster than usual i think, however bass are really clever species and they can easily unhook themselves by turning back if you give them any slack line hence fast reeling. I have fished that beach many times and caught many bass there last summer and never lost bass as much as I did this session, my hook up rate was really poor trying to figure out why🤔 but I will take ur comment on board and try again with slow retrieve. @@Masterfisherman you're welcome bud, like I said not a criticism at all. It was due to you videos that got me back on the beach chasing after the silvers after a few years away, keep up the good work and slow that retrieve, one less weetabix for Brekkie next time 😂

Hey Hakan, just watched the vid. I think I was the guy on the left. Sat morning 5am. 🙂. I saw 2 guys turn up but didn't recognise you from that distance.
U had better luck then we did mate I believe u had a 50cm that day ? Did u get any more after we left bcs u were still fishing. Tight lines mate 👍🎣
@@Masterfisherman Yeah, a proper weird session that one. Landed a 3lb bass and brought in 2 more that I didn't know were on the hook until the last 10yds. One rolled off in the surf like yours did. I might try further up that beach next time. That's where most anglers are when I fish there and where I keep hearing the big ones are caught by passing 🐕 walkers. Just a much longer trek 😓 from the car park.

You would have been better going tomorrow mate. Offshore wind which is always better for north facing spots here in wales. Also pulley pennel rig will help hook the fish better.
Never lost a Bass from the shore using a pulley pennel and fresh lug.

A little tip for you when the bass are not fully committed to the bait ,down size your hook to a 2/0 shorten your leader to half its length and only use half a lug , as the bass are feeding on bits of lug that the bait diggers have disgarded , does work
