Get in ….. the mighty duo are back at it !!! Great to see you boys and a cracking bass George !!!! Looks a cracking spot too !!! Ya lucky pair of sods 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Finally..................😉😉🤣🤣. Them sharp hooks are a great addition to your fishing kit😉😉.................Only messing mate glad to see you get one and thanks for sharing your adventures👏👏
Always a great video with this duo! :D even though it wasn't the biggest of all bass, a fish is a fish at the end of the day! Great catch George and shout out to Harry for securing the fish with the net :D
Stunning morning smashing trip and what a general effort! Feel proud to have tagged on at the end and seen the glory 😂 smashing effort mate and let’s get a biggie this year!! 👌
Good morning from 🇨🇦! One method of retrieval I have when fishing predatory species, is called "Speed Reeling!" You cast your plug out there, let it sit for five seconds then wind like crazy for ten feet or so, then stop for five seconds then crank hard again! Quite often the fish will take it as you begin your retrieve.
Thank you but it’s not my first, just the only one from that trip to wales! That said, can easily count on one hand the amount of bass I’ve had in my life!
Class vid as always boys 👍 you should come down to Pembrokeshire the surface lure fishing is on point at the moment and surf fishing too, I missed a few on surface lures the other day, when you see the swirl I stop the lure, they almost always come back to it again it's like they're trying to stun it before hand
Thanks Jordan! Always fancied a trip down there it looks stunning. Just quite a journey for me! Hopefully will be able to sometime soon though 👍 a few people have said that about stopping the lure. I'll make sure for next time and thanks for watching!
Oh m8! I feel your pain! I lost an amberjack a couple of days ago just like that: right at my feet. The vid is on UA-cam if you re interested. That fish is a good catch in my books! Well done lads!!
@@adventurefishinguk I'd say vary your speed to find the sweet spot - with occasional pause. You can also try jerk-baiting which works brill with Bass. Jerk, then slowly wind in the slack and jerk again. The bass go mad for it! Tight lines!
Went there today on the lures, far too bright but was nice to wet the lines after work. Roll on the weekend when I can get up stupid early and catch the silver torpedoes.
Good video George, when you get a hit on the surface although it will go against all your natural instincts don’t strike & the fish will come back for it. Keep looking at your line rather than your lure and when your line lifts the fish has taken the lure. Good luck
Glad you enjoyed the video mate and thanks for the tip. Do you mean not strike and leave the lure still in the water or continue the retrieve at the same pace?
nice video mate, you're off the mark at least! I've done a lot of top water chub lure fishing, as you'll see in my upcoming videos, I think its just topwater fishing, the amount of bites I miss haha!
Thanks for watching and subscribing mate I really appreciate it! I'm not sure what the actual colour pattern is called as it was a gift, but it was sort of silvery at the bottom faded into a brown at the top. Sort of like a pollock. I hope this helps!
@@adventurefishinguk A pair of single hooks tied on kevlar cord, looped through a solid ring then put onto the split ring. You can buy them or make them up yourself. Plenty on you tube on how to make them.
Thanks Mick! Apparently they are still working on the prosecution and can't give me any updates just yet for the sake of the case. Apparently it is happening though!
Hi dude . Nice day out . I haven’t read all the comments, so, I don’t know if it’s already been flagged.. But,Apart from the fact that you think , that you are slow Retrieving, I think that the error lies in the fact that , ( imho!), that you have your rod tip waaaay to high. It should be lower… walking the dog! Fish on bro!
100% slower retrieve, and slower taps on the rod, stop when you get a hit and just a couple of twitches and carry on, your good up rate will improve dramatically👍🎣🐟
I find that slow retrieve is much better. The rule I follow is: fast and wild first 3 cranks followed by really slow retrieve and pauses. Hook setting discipline is key as well, waiting until you feel the bite . Not before. You should try another patchinko colour as well the darker ones seem to really do the job for me

Thanks mate! Yeah it was no monster but there's just something so satisfying about catching a bass regardless of size. Glad you enjoyed the video!

best feeling in the world when you finally hook into your target.
Absolutely! Especially when it's a bass. Just something special about them
The north facing marks are the best 😉😉
Any recommendations? 👍

Would've definitely been nice to have them both but I can't complain with the one! thanks for watching mate
Great video buddy nice to see a bass slow retrieve with surface lures works great mate 👍👍🎣
Thanks mate! How much slower than what I was doing?

Enjoyed these shorts, subscribed👍 Thanks for tour of your lure box. What pattern is the dogx? My colour blindness let's me down...

Try assist hooks in place of the rear treble...it might improve your hook up rate.
Not heard of that before, are they single hooks?

@@WATTSROBIN thanks for the advice mate I’ll look into it
Enjoyed that George good video, tell me please , did anyone get prosecuted over the Lancaster canal disaster ? 😎
Thanks Mick! Apparently they are still working on the prosecution and can't give me any updates just yet for the sake of the case. Apparently it is happening though!
I love how excited you get over catching the bass that's what fishing is all about. Lobe the channel great video.
Thanks mate! Yeah I do get very excited 😂 it's just something i'm so passionate about it's hard not to be after all the hours trying to catch them
mate 4.04, check out the the fish (seal) to the right of the screen?????
Just had a look and i see it. Didn't notice at the time! Could've been either but good spot 👍
Great effort mate ,just subbed 👍🏻
Thanks mate, really appreciate that! If you get chance to catch up on a few videos I’d love to know what you think 👍
Will do , might give north Wales a try ,bloody nightmare ,not much bass fishing around Sheffield !!

Btw whats the situation with Lancaster canel and the polution?
They know who’s done it and they’re working on a prosecution. I believe it’s a long process though!

Buzzin for you George, now you've popped your cherry, I'm sure they'll come thick and fast, with the effort you put in my man
I really hope so Mick! Thanks for watching 👍

Yeah i've heard the same, i'll have to slow it al right down. Going to find that hookset quite difficult I think! Thanks for the comment
why do you retrieve so fast, that’s why you’re missing bites
I'll slow it down a bit next time mate if you think it'll help
Get ya self behind heysham power station plenty bass there😂😂 ps im only joking definitely dont
Been told about that spot. Tried a few years ago with no luck, tempted to revisit or try the jetty in morecambe
