    I have been getting a lot of feedback about the negative comments that have been submitted by many who don't understand the systems of Vee Jitsu Tae, Sanuces Ryu, and Kumite Ryu (VSK Jujitsu). I have been encouraged to remove their comments! I will absolutely NOT remove their comments. They have the right to their belief! Those of us who believe and have internalized the lessons of the legendary founders of these systems don't care about the small-time thinking of those who cast insults. Unlimited Martial Arts respects all systems and their masters. We also understand the importance of the lessons that Grand Professor Florendo M. Visitacion, Dr. Moses (Musa) Powell, and Soke Little John Davis have taught us. Those who choose to lip box on social media and don't believe in our system it is OK. You have options, a) STOP viewing our material, b) come and study with us and become better informed, or c) come to our school and ask for the Master and see if our system truly is about Urban Survival! For the disbelievers, Don't REPLY and ask where are your schools located. Use GOOGLE as you do for everything else.
    OUS!

      At first when you watch, you want to hate this fancy looking hand dance, but when you look carefully, you realize that they do all the strikes on vital or weak areas of the body. The hands are fast like in Kenpo and an open hand proved it worked when used by Bas Rutten. So my verdict is that it could be an effective self-defense system. The important thing is to have fun and grow within our practice of martial arts. Respect to all. Constructive criticism is always welcomed on my part. There are ways to say things to help instead of diminishing the work of others.

    matrial artists....mma fighters....self defense....and street fighting are not the same. Rules....no rules....attacking....defending....you can only compare things within its own group....or have a open no rule fight.

  • @Soulblackman
    @Soulblackman 14 років тому +1

    @KahL1One You're ALWAYS going to have that paradigm when it comes to demonstrations. Let's face it, they CAN'T be REAL, because this would mean real attacks, real defenses and real INJURIES. These are techniques to be practiced until mastered, the principles of which, will be used in a REAL fight.

  • @SuperKenster1
    @SuperKenster1 12 років тому

    Jigoro Kano settled the argument of Kata vs Fighting competency a long time ago when his Judoka who practice full-on soundly defeated the Kata men ironically one of Kanos best fighters was the head of the Gracie system Count Maeda who fought Challenge matches all over the world however other Japanese also taught in Cuba Belguim and other countries excluding Britain and the U.S.

    The truth is that the ring provides an opportunity to experience the dynamics of a real fight.
    On the other hand, self-defense experts tend to sell the principles and technieques while comfortably hiding behind the story of their deadliness or "simply" gouging eyes or kicking to the groin, punching the throat...
    It's a great way to earn serious cash while blowing smoke but it's dishonest and it can get people into serious trouble by inflating their ego with empty self-confidence.

  • @Soulblackman
    @Soulblackman 12 років тому

    @Lillymill I'm saying that self-defense applications are NOT the same as in the ring. Scenario; MMAer throws a good punch at Soke. Soke blocks, kicks to the groin or knee. Then he gouges the eyes. It could be that simple. Of course, since Soke isn't invincible, things could end up, the other way around.

    Good Video, what is sad is I see allot of comments about my instructor is better than etc. This is sad, as a whole we need to come together to fight violence, not each other. There are lots of bad guys out there to deal with so lets not to attack each other. I have used Judo , karate and combatives on the street and they all worked .It's comparing a Glock to smith and Wesson both with kill you. Stephen please keep the videos coming.
    Must respect,
    Gray ghost

  • @Soulblackman
    @Soulblackman 12 років тому

    @Lillymill There's much truth to what you say. But for the record, in his day, Soke was a top-notch tournament fighter. He could execute! The reality though, is that traditional martial arts schools do have their place, just as MMA does. What's your feeling about the self-defense techniques of Charles Nelson, who tended to be critical of even what we'd term as self-defense schools?

    This is very pre-Bruce Lee era demonstration techiniques which don't prepare you for the multitudes of reality based martial artists with the advent of all the mma organizations!

  • @Soulblackman
    @Soulblackman 12 років тому

    @Lillymill The problem with this, is MMA is STILL not a real fight. Are YOU going to concede in the street, if an MMAer attacks you? I'M going for the throat, eyes, groin, etc. ANYTHING that brings me victory. I'll even bite. Don't get me wrong, I've MAD RESPECT for MMA, but everything is within a context. And keep in mind, that in the street, even an MMAer will be somewhat restricted by the clothing he'll be wearing, and the reality that there's no ref to break action.

    I train with these guys sometimes. My dojo is sanctioned under 1 of their masters. Yes, Mrs D sweat, sore muscles & some bruises. Nothing is more formidable than a woman with confidence, inner strength, knowledge of offensive/defensive tactics such as this against an attack. I'm nowhere near as good as my Sanuces bothas but check me out N the clip under Tribute to Moses Powell 2. I'm the big girl @ 39/240+lbs & still thristing 4 the incredible knowledge of Dr. Moses Powell's legacy. Try it

    Do you really believe it would be that easy to gouge MMA fighter's eyes out, punch his throat or bite him?
    Why would you expect them not to be able to gouge, grab, bite, spit as well?
    Cage rules are there to keep them from maiming or killing each other.
    Can you even imagine what such people could do to a person in a real fight?

      No disrespect but you Jiu-Jitsu and MMA guys just think you're God's gift to the world. Totally different system of martial arts. What works in the street might not work in the ring what works in the ring might not work in the street. Anybody can get tapped out or knocked out. No system is absolute

    What people don't look at is the history of contemporary arts, unfortunately Florendo Vistitation,Moses Powell,Ed Parker,Wally Jay to name a few made claims to the one art that can be traced to every tournament "Judo" and as a consequence thier present day students are not validated by any real standard .The founder of MMA can be traced to Maeda who was probably Jigoro Kanos most accomplished fighter and as such his students are unquestioned as the leading source of actual Martial arts.

    I'm sure LJD has a lot of "respect" in his community, but I don't know how well that helps of any of this whatsoever. The demonstrations and classes appear very pretty, but fairly unrealistic.

      It's a totally different system from jiu jitsu. And these other people you mentioned so what does it have to do with anything. I hold four different black belts in three systems so... And yes one of these systems gives you a black belt for open-handed karate and you can also have a black belt in their weapon system so what. Again it's two different systems or totally different system. Just show respect...
