So, you mentioned a "bowing feature" in the velocity potential anomaly going west. Well, that's not the case. The velocity potential anomaly is at the 200 hPa, or 200mb level of the atmosphere, at least in this map. It's basically a visualizer of the MJO. The winds up there are moving east, not west. This can easily be seen in the super duper long range EPS velocity potential anomaly. Now the reason I mention this is because that area of unfavorable environment around July 11th-21st is moving east, away from the Gulf. This didn't show in the previous update. So it seems like the gulf may become active again after July 20th. You can also see this at a larger scale with the 200mb Chi anomaly from the GFS and other models, to which they continue to show favorable environment. Especially the GFS where it shows an unusually strong anomaly in the eastern pacific that soon moves northeast into the carribean.
Finally some sunshine here in Celina Texas. Cleanup from E-F 3 tornado is progressing! Finally, last debris hauled off my property! Yard guys mowed and edged and it truly gave me joy! Debri all over fields and barns roofs destroyed. Angels kept my roof on ……I truly praise our Lord Jesus Christ as merry was shower last minute on me! Had to get out over huge metal debris by grandkids who panicked when they pulled after midnight!!
I have a hard time understanding the map colors, to me green means rain. Maybe tell us dummies what you're talking about (wind, temps, rain) when you show the different maps.

Last night I purchased 2 items for my hurricane kit living in Southeast Florida - Gorilla waterproof repair tape and battery operated light switch. Very disappointed that you have again gone to all tropics. I know that possibility must be addressed. However, to totally ignore the rest of the US is the one thing I don't like about your channel. You could at least address any possible bad weather coming in for the rest of us. Especially a Friday. Like being under torcon 1 for winds and tornado and flash flooding in an area hit by tornadoes over the past holiday weekend.
This is not good. I’m outside of Houston. We took a direct hit from that tornado. Our roof is repaired, but there is still a lot of debris everywhere. Our fence is trashed and it’s going to take a bit to fix it, since insurance won’t cover it. Our whole subdivision is the same… lots of wood lying around and lots of roofs with tarps on them. Not a good situation going into a hurricane, at all. Very scary. I’m going to be watching your videos, so I know what to expect. Thank you!

I’m so happy this summer (so far) has been so wet this year! Last year was unbelievably dry and scorching hot.
Oh but Spring has not ended yet for the US. Have a around 2 weeks of Spring left before Summer is technically here. 😅
