🫶🙏💙.Mir fehlen die Worte.boooah, so viele tolle Momente mit Bruce und Runrig. There must be a place...auch für Dich Bruce da oben irgendwo. Danke und mach es gut. Der liebe Gott hat jetzt wieder einen tollen Sänger und Typen an seiner Seite.Deine Stimme und die Musik bleiben aber irgendwie immer hier....❤❤❤❤
Thank you guys for 40 years of putting smiles on people all over the worlds. No matter if you are from Scotland or far across the sea Runrig music will always be around and the fans will always stay fans. Every Runrig song no matter Donnies or Bruces voice makes the heckles stand up on the back of my neck. Passion, proudness and strength. Love these guys This song is fantastic and sad its the end of 'The Final Mile' for them . Hearts Of Olden Glory forever :) :)
Sleep well Bruce, thanks for taking on the mantle and running with it, some of Runrig's best music and best moments were with you, now we know why there is no more.
I lost my daughter aged 29 to cancer I hope I'll see her again the words of this has me in bits but I have to listen runrig were amazing I'm a born and bred scot
Agreed got to be one of my favourite songs tbh and runrig music should be broadcasted all over radio stations music is masterclass better than the rubbish you get all over radio station hand made music is the bestest music of all time 🤩😍😍💞
Rest in peace bruce 😥🌈🕯️💔 we will miss you, he was such a great human and also great musician so that I am very sad about that he's gone and find no words
Bruce what a hero, latest news made me so proud of Bruce and the band, to perform the last dance the way they did, knowing Bruce was ill. I was in tears when the band retired, but now after 45 yrs of being a welsh fan. They have moved me even more. Farewell all.
Absolute Perfection... Thank you for 40 years of great music and bringing the beauty of our homeland to the world. Thanks to you the Gaelic language has been saved and will endure for generations to come. Alba Oran..
Laurel worked at the US Navy base at Holy Loch in Scotland. I used to holiday there in my caravan. Hy loch is also famous in the book/film "the cruel sea" I highly recomend watchin it. It's a book by Nicholas Monserrat and even in those days mental health was being highlighted.. not a new thing. Enjoy.
I came to Runrig rather late but my passion is as intense as if I had been there from the beginning. I am old school, CDs and have all, even The Band From Rockall" and so often they bring me to tears, sometimes to smile, sometimes to break my heart and sometimes to heal it. Bruce, RIP the music legacy will live forever.
18/08/18, the day the Music cried, and thousands did the same. Runrig you will live forever in our hearts, thank you for all the miles we travelled together.
It was when I heard it on Radio two last week that it finally clicked for me... We southerners have missed out so much of Runrig, haven't heard so many of their tracks before, and now they are retiring... Your music will live on though, for generations to come.
So glad they have had some air time. I'm from up north but live on the south coast now and happily play Runrig loud from the car ( and everywhere else I can!)
loved them for years. learned the song in gaelic an ubhal as airde and sang it in leicester de montford hall at tbe runrig long distance tour. there were bses from all over europe there such is the love of Runrig.
My mother was a life long Runrig fan, I failed to get her tickets to the Stirling gig but thankfully I got her tickets to see them in England before the band split. Thank you Runrig for all you did for her and all of us descended from the Hebrides. Alba gu brath!
Just feeling reflective. I love this song so much; it will be at my funeral. Thanks to you Runrig, over the years you have given me so much pleasure and no I have never seen you live. Just have most of the cd's. From Wales.
A beautiful video to go with a wonderful new version of a beautiful song, thank you for 45 years of wonderful music Runrig and may you have a long and happy retirement.
I came upon Runrig quite by accident and have been listening for at least 25 years now. I have most of their albums, which were difficult to find here in Canada. My all-time favourite Runrig songs are In Search of Angels, Life is Hard, Loch Lomond, All Things Must Change, Going Home, and of course, Canada. This song and video was simply beautiful and has been added to my favourites list. Thank you, Runrig, for 45 years of superb music that's been shared all over the world.
To my grandad: I love you. I miss you so much. Wish I could hear your snore one last time. I hope I’m still making you proud. Hope you’re having a pint up there and enjoying yourself, having a pint on you tonight. Love you so much 💜
Still remembering August 18th 2018 like it was yesterday. What a song. What a night. What a band. What a family you made of us all. Our hearts of olden glory will always grow young. Tapadh leat, boys (and the wonderful Julie) - tapadh leat.
I was there too that night - one of the very best and memorable days of my life. Will remain a precious memory forever. A truly great band, gone but not forgotten!
I took a while getting around to watching this video because I've had particularly shakey emotions of late (to put it vaguely) and this song always hits me like no other- quite frankly, I didn't feel like having my heart utterly slain on the floor. But today, still no better personally, I said "hang it, I love Runrig. I love that song. I'm going to see that new video" My oh my... Just as emotional as ever, but for some reason this new mix is just what I needed to bring that refreshing spark... Somewhere in the light, I'll meet you there.
Wonderful song and video. I was at the final concert in Germany in Cologne. Thank you for this lovely evening with an outstanding performance and a breathtaking atmosphere. Runrig and the Gaelic language live on in our hearts forever!! #alba
The human spirit is indestructible with true love that will last forever! Thank you so much for posting this video brings back some lovely memories when l was a lot younger ! Runrig one of the best ever traditional musical group's with the spirit and soul of Scotland at it's heart !
Thank you Runrig for over 40 years of the best music, IMHO,. Looking forward to Stirling but with a heavy heart. Please can you explain why suddenly you are all over the sassenach radio. God bless and a long and happy retirement to you all.
From Germany....bin so ein Trottel....damals im pc69 waren sie....wollt nicht hin.... heut stehen mir Tränen in den Augen....vermisse dich....so sehr....Susa!....
RUNRIG always No. 1 Thanks for all the years we shared! You not only gave the music to me, but also the love to Scotland, and its wonderful people! Cheers from Leverkusen/Germany!
I am amazed that Runrig seems to be so popular in Germany! German was my favourite subject at school and I often dream of living there some day! Grüsse aus Nordost Schottland! ;D
Thank you Runrig for all the precious memories you have left for us. What an absolute proud, fantastic, magical, heart breaking farewell last night. Can't believe it is the end of the road. You simply were the best thing to ever come out of Scotland! xx
Nothing will ever eclipse the evening we shared at the Last Dance 18/08/18, nothing. So if for no better reason, this song will be my farewell as I journey to the final RV, and take my place amongst my brothers and sisters. For all the miles we have travelled together, thank you xx
the only problem i have with this version os that the final words of laurel clarke arent put at the end like in rory's orgininal version but the song itself is better in everyway if you forget about that RIP Laurel clarke its sad you had to die for such a masterpeice to come into exsistence but you will always live on in the heart of scotland for being one of the riggies
Somewhere by Runrig Somewhere on the arc of ages We are born, we cry On this spinning orb of wonder We love, we die Still the moon and the stars will shine When we've both had our time Somewhere in the dark I'll find you Somewhere in the light, I'll meet you there Where immortal souls collide Somewhere out there Can't bear to leave this path of years And the joys that it unfolds Can all this just be ground to dust Without meaning, resolve, untold This love is gold, can't let it go It's for all of time Somewhere in the dark I'll find you Somewhere in the light, I'll meet you there Where immortal souls collide Somewhere out there Somewhere out there On the arc of ages On this orb of wonder Where the light is growing Where the sun goes under
Rest in peace, Bruce. Thank you for inspiring us. You will sing with the angels now. 🇨🇦🏴🇨🇦🙏
Yes he will, also one can feel him in the wind ❤️
Runrig has retired and I never actually met Bruce, but his too young loss is still so painful to me.
The last dance finally makes sense
@@TerribleFire That is a beautiful album. I was lucky enough to be at Runrigs last ever concert. We did the last dance with them. 🎼🎶🏴🇨🇦🙏
So sad news today. Tears running down my face while listening to some of the great music you gave us. RIP, see you up there one day.
Thank you Bruce for the music and the memories. Deepest condolences to your family and friends. ❤

Your right with real music and real talent
Agreed got to be one of my favourite songs tbh and runrig music should be broadcasted all over radio stations music is masterclass better than the rubbish you get all over radio station hand made music is the bestest music of all time 🤩😍😍💞
Unfortunately talent isn't what the mainstream music industry is primarily looking for 😥
Or seen on all TV stations! The video is so right for this work.
This song get's to your heart......possibly one of the best songs ever written

Music consists not only of notes, but sometimes also of thorns- the famous pen that's mightier then the sword..

Somewhere
by Runrig
Somewhere on the arc of ages
We are born, we cry
On this spinning orb of wonder
We love, we die
Still the moon and the stars will shine
When we've both had our time
Somewhere in the dark I'll find you
Somewhere in the light, I'll meet you there
Where immortal souls collide
Somewhere out there
Can't bear to leave this path of years
And the joys that it unfolds
Can all this just be ground to dust
Without meaning, resolve, untold
This love is gold, can't let it go
It's for all of time
Somewhere in the dark I'll find you
Somewhere in the light, I'll meet you there
Where immortal souls collide
Somewhere out there
Somewhere out there
On the arc of ages
On this orb of wonder
Where the light is growing
Where the sun goes under
Id like a pure Julie Fowlis version of this. Her voice id perfection
