Hasbro's 1988 World of Nintendo (Mario, Zelda & Punch Out) Trophy Figures

In this episode of The Little Things we will take a look at Hasbro's 1988 World of Nintendo Trophy Figures. These figure scenes are from the early days of the Nintendo Entertainment System and depict scenes from three of Nintendo's most popular games at that time: Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, and Punch Out. These figures look pretty strange by modern standards. Certain stylistic elements were not yet standardized and we are left with some pretty strange depictions of these popular Nintendo Characters and scenes, such as Link and Mario. The great thing is that they portrayed game action scenes in a way that could only happen in the gamer's imagination, at the time, due to the limitations of the hardware.
