Thanks for checking out my game SplatterCat!
Love seeing the devs comment. Game looks great and shows a lot of time spent on the details. Definitely looking at this one for purchase.
@@icthulu Awesome! Thank you! I hope you enjoy it
Good Job on the (Pixel-)Art Style! B-] Love It!
Tis a good game!
unique
bought this game a couple days ago and have been enjoying it. Couple of things to note. Planets with elemental affinities will cause you to take that damage over time, increasing as you get deeper. Once you take out the core, the damage stops.
Gravity affects how much power you need to drill blocks and how much life it costs, the deeper you go, the more gravity. So, the most effective way to farm is to do so near the surface. You'll mine faster and take less damage the closer to the surface you are.
thanks, I was confused by the gravity. Do you know how the elemental damage correlated to the number on the planet screen? like if its +4 does that mean +4 per mile/square down?
One thing that took me a while to notice was the room upgrades are the main way to get money multiplier, before I was just using the +20% guys
@@TheNzFox I'm not sure of the exact formula, but it seems to be a multiplier that works with gravity. So the deeper you go the more elemental dmg increases with the gravity. So that +4 is the multiplier used with gravity to increase damage the further down you go, until you pop the core.
You can see your resistance on the upper left side of the HUD, as you go down that number decreases until you hit 0, then at negative numbers (shown in red), you start taking ele dmg over time. Increasing the further you go.
that game is boring tho'
ive been playing it myself since last night, its a simple game but its done right, its your classic incremental numbers game, i distracts me from the existential dread that is my life
Take care, random person on the Internet! ;-)
Damn you Splatter, I can honestly say you are now responsible for the majority of games in my liberay and almost all the ones on my wish list
I love this game you should upload more of this
Yeah, mining & crafting is the best game. My ideal game remake is summon night: sword crafts story. If anyone know any modern remake or inspired game kinda like how stardew valley is to harvest moon. Give me a holler. I'd like to support that dev
Man Splat, I admire how you can make almost anything entertaining: "Get to the core before we die from the HEEEAAAAATTT!" Much love :)
So this is kinda like an expanded motherload. Nice ^^
this game sucks vs motherload
@@ZynzeNycraile Don't blame him. No game will ever go close to motherload.
I love motherload but I don't understand what makes it so good. I think it's similar to the feeling I get when playing subnautica, a risk/reward gameplay loop of getting deeper on a run + a finely tuned feeling of progression
After watching you play this i decided to get this game! Thank you Splattercat!
I'm so glad this channel is still going strong. Your positivity is a great thing here on youtube!
I really appreciate you playing the game before you start recording. You are able to explain the game well.
The Soundtrack of this game is dope
Was looking for this comment
Thanks! Glad people are enjoying it. :)
@@injekted6851 Soundtrack is white-hot, Injekted. Thanks for contributing your work.
Tourmaline, Spectra, and Nova are my faves so far.
@@dohertyaaron Thanks pal, appreciate that! Response so far has been amazing :)
I LOVED the first game in this series!! I am having a blast with this one!
Spam doesn't get enough love. I make musubi for my kids fairly often, and they love it.
Dig Dug! I haven't heard that in so long
Haha Yeah! True Classic! # Blll Bllll Bllll POP!
Splat has the gaming ref of the beginning of this all! (it pays to be "old") Very Cool! (==)
Dig Dug... haven't heard that is so many years man. Total nostalgia!
Thanks for testing all those indie games! Love you videos and you made me discover nice games!
It´s addictive and simple gameplay. If you want to just shut down you thinking from games, hard on your brain, this game is great :) I approve
If you have not already checked it out, throw $10 at Dorfromantik, such a fantastic and addictive game. Deceptively simple in gameplay & appearance, all with a great sense of accomplishment.
Pretty much exactly why I bought it. I love the art design, and like you said, just a nice little game to sit back and play without having to think about it too much. You're always progressing somehow.
Been on UA-cam a while and I have plenty of people I watch, but I wanna say that I really enjoy your content, you seem like a great dude. I love what you do and how you do it. Keep it up my man ,🤙🤙
This actually looks pretty good. Might have to pick it up.
Gawd damn it Splattercat. Every time I watch your videos I end up buying it. I should just set up auto pay hahaha. Looks so fun! Thanks for the upload!
I loved playing flash mining games so here is something more advanced and better! :D
Some soft Drum n Bass in the background...I like it!
Fantastic game from a fantastic dev!
Hopefully this comes to Switch, would be a fun game to play in portable. Perfect for little runs.
Love this game ..so Addictive
The Fusion created the Rusty can for 100 tiles.
There you go kids, that’s how planets are made. When a drill loves a planet and the drill gets to the center of a tootsie pop.
This is a borderline incremental game.
Thankfully it's nothing like that. I played way too many hours of the previous game to this and there's a very strong push-your-luck mechanic with the limited health damage from drilling, damage from enemies and passive DoT damage from drilling deep into elemental planets without enough resistances.
The more you explore on the way to the core, the more damage you take along the way; but there's also boxes in the environment you can drill that can heal you or give you elemental resistance buffs; so it might be worth going off the direct-down path to grab them; but it might get you too near to a monster in the dark and attract that to you, or you'll take more damage from DoT than the healing box healed in the meantime and so on.
@@denormative yeah... I think it's much like that.
Wow... didn't know anyone even remembers Dig Dug. I played that on my Commodore 64 back in the 80s.
Cartridge, 5 1/4 inch floppy, or cassette tape?
Looks like a fun little time wastee , great video 😄
You had me at galactic
Nice game. I dig it :P
Drill the big sphere at the bottom of the shaft and watch it explode into stars. Reward message: "Now that's a game winning shot!"
Try and convince me that this isn't an adult title.
What do you mean, Step-Miner
This is like a mobile game without all the mobile game shenanigans and microtransactions.
Now I want this and some damn ham.
the quaternary was one of my favorite subject in gelogy
Can we hire dwarves, if so I'm in. I'll buy the beer 🍺 🍺🍺🍺
hey splattercat that last character looks like (both ) Earth worm Jim from Ps2 fame and the worms from the worms games. great Vod will be looking hard at this fun little game thank you.
11:17 You only looted 1 "Old Can" from the Planet. Fusion created one Old Can from 100 Mud Bricks.
Note that you only need 100 more blocks for the next fusion, not a new research level.
I like this one.
This reminded me a bit of Steamworld Dig.
Ok, it's too addictive!
This is the Successor to Geo. It was going to be called Geo2.... It is an upgrade from the original
Geo?
this looks like a fun game
Will there be more of this to come? If so I'm subscribing for it
I have seen this game process: "bootrap package game" running even hours after closing the game. Forgive my ignorance, but as is the cryptomining malware landscape, I would like to know what it is and what it does and why it continues to work after the game, any ideas? . But, well, it can be closed in the administrator panel.
Lets see If this is Motherload advanced or not
What do you mean by "advanced"? Super Motherload, or better than Motherload, or what?
If you want a great game somewhat similar to Motherload, check out Aground. Except Aground is a bit like terraria (or minecraft) in that there's crafting and enemies, as well as eventually some other crazy stuff that isn't mining. Plus it has a nice simple story.
@@MsHojat I mean similar to the old Motherload flash game. But with new features and what not.
Which it kind of is. But there's clearly a lot more going on here even if it's somewhat like the old game.
gr8 music
Thanks! Glad you dig it! ;)
Ooh this is like Motherload!
Game looks like relaxing timeciller when you need to relax your brain.
Cool Game
Dig dug and base building/development Nice.
There was an old Flash game I played years ago that was basically this but not as complex. I don't remember what it was called but just like this you dug down into the planet to mine different minerals to upgrade your drill and your base.
Motherload? That's what I was constantly thinking throughout this video, and surprised I don't see tons of more comments echoing that sentiment.
I've already bought the game, but I'm going to say SplatterCatGaming sent me.
Nice game
To answer the question about research, yes it is a very valuable currency to gather even after you have researched each planet, there are investment opportunity upgrades that also spend research, and also Drill garages that require research to unlock, so DO gather all the research you can as later you might find you have to grind it a lot to make up for saving time earlier by not getting it.
10:20 space hams. I can't be the only one that tought about that warhammer thing
Got it, reminescent of Motherloadium, i like it and has a lot of content in
Do a series of this i want some more
Yeah do more!
I have check this game out.
With Your Drill, Pierce the Heavens!!
Nice Music
Thanks bro!... Appreciate that!
Lol, must be mining day, just watched a vid on Motherload.
but are you also working for Natas?
Splat!
This reminds me of an old flash game called Motherlode.
I keep thinking Splat is more of a youngin and then he goes and references DigDug and shit.
He turned 35 this year iirc so yeah, Splat is definitely an "old-timer" :D
@@Qulize *sudden memery of playing digdug someplace when i was maybe 5* WHY BRAIN WHY DO YOU ONLY ALOW SUDDEN MEMORY
@@lechking941 hell I remember playing digdug when it first hit the arcade!... damn, I miss arcades.
@@Hawkido *who does this feel so real* i sware to god i got AAAALLLLLLLL the good shit from thoes days growing up just before thoes all closed. like i remember that one crazy racing game were you deove fucking topless cars underwater, a tank battle sim DK racing some on the game cube, mac n cheese pizza (i cant lie i really am wanting one recently and may just make it as i have a fucking resipee for pizza i can augment easly for a box of mac) and im just now out of highschool. fuck us man we lived the good times i may have the tail of it but i am happy i did.
@@lechking941 Man I grew up in the Asteroids, and pac-man days of the Arcade, Pinball machines were still everywhere, every grocery store had at least 2 or 3 arcade cabinets at the entrance of the stores, man those were good times. I threw so many quarters away in those machines and we were dirt poor, I kinda feel ashamed how much of my family's money I tossed into the arcades 'cause back then Quarters were actually worth something.
how do u save the game, i played for an hour then it crashed and couldn't see any saved games
Upgrading? Knee-deep in the galaxy? Simple?
Oh damn - that's another £30 I'm spending!
Bleep and Booster era graphics are a colossal bonus, for me!
This game looks pretty well made, well thought out, and the art is nice. It just isn't my flavor of game, which is sad. Anyone who enjoys it, good on you.
Cryofall is out so maybe revisit it now. Maybe it's in your plans already. It looks like a cool game
I wish it had a proper singleplayer mode though. I hate having to set up a server just to play alone
It's actually sequel of the game G.E.O. (Same developer). Almost the same mechanics.
Want to say that the music at 12:17 is the bomb, id anyone?
[11:24] FUFION - You fused100 (drilled tiles) into an (item).
In this case 100 Mud Tiles into an Old Can.
What does it look like when you strip mine the surface layers...?
I have mined every block of several planets, was kinda disappointed there wasn't an achievement for that. P.S. the bigger the planet the "Deeper" it is, so those massive Gas Giants are DEEEEEP!
Bulb works for me.
so, Motherload Flash Game? anyone? LOVED that game and pretty bummed when chrome stopped supporting flash. so definitely gonna try this out!
to bad im still gonna miss the audio track. i could get lost in the monotone of it (i think there are videos on youtube with 10hrs Motherload soundtrack lol)
all this drill talk give me gurren lagan vibes lol
I think I would enjoy this game.
I actually like these idk digging games?
You could say you really DIG these kind of games, eh?!
i noticed at fusion it makes the item
The DNB tracks in the background are really nice. Too bad there isn't a tracklist :'(
Why not more episode??
ok 2 seconds in i have to ask:
ok but how does the pinup robo girl factor into the gameplay (highly important question)
Remind me of a old flash game, can't remember the name tho
You're maybe thinking of Motherload. I don't really see much similarity personally though. They're both digging games, but that's kind of the end of it in my opinion.
That’s such a hentai moment when the “drill” penetrates the “core”...
Sold me on the game, thnx
Duuuuuudeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Kira is lewd
🖤
Hey SplatterCat! - I would love a rating some times - like "I give this 4 Splatties"
Does he not do series anymore?
I dig it.
Pfft greenbeards are no match for DRG.... ROCK and STONE brothers!
man, use the booster!
This is like some of my favorite Flash games... I'm just sad can't afford it right now
Spam musubi fan?
Kinda a Motherload heavily inspired game...
Dig Dug? how old r u man? haha
I thought this was "Deep Rock Galactic"...Pre-Alpha...lol...
Хочу!
