You can limit the amount of food delivered to it in if you click on the feeder and change the number, it is configured to 200kg as default, you can set it to 15kg for starters so your dupes have something to eat. I love the detail your artists have when making your thumbnails! How both the floxs in the thumbnail were mad because they were being sheard. And how one of them was biting and the guy being bit had one of his eyes closed indicating he was hurting from the bite. I'm just going to take this time to appreciate the artists for the work they do.
Hey Blitz! You might want to consider another ranch for your Flox, one for adults to get their antlers shorn and the other for the babies. They'll get crowded sooner if you have both, then less eggs, less wood, etc.

Tap the printing pod button below the colony stats when it's blue, it gives you a free customization blueprint that you can then sell to buy other blueprints you enjoy to spice up your colonies. Also, if you save the game BEFORE printing a dupe, 6:36 ,or care package you can reload the pre-save to get new options`of things to print. You can keep reloading infinitely too! I also recommend spending available skill points. (Signaled by green numbers on the dupes banners in the skill screen's bottom left corner.) Hope this helps!

I made a water deposit but the bottom row was filled with mercury and a tepidizer (plus temperature sensor to make the tepidizer shut down when it gets too hot) and a layer of metal tiles on top to transfer the heat. It was so effective that it started to melt the ice before the metal tiles layer was done, mixed water with the mercury and I had to reload. I was impressed with how fast it melted the ice. Mercury is a great heat conductor, and it heats really fast, because it has low thermal capacity. Also Floxes can eat the plant as it grows, no need for a critter feeder, just put some farming tiles or something where you can grow plants.

Finding the bonbon trees and the creature that feeds on its nectar is useful to your base since those guys excrete the ethanol you need to power your base but the trees themselves requires lights in order to grow

I recommend researching heavy-wat wires soon, from experience I can say it is a pain when your wires break all the time and then you have to replace the wires.

The tepidizer will both sterilize and heat up your water. Dunno if that's the highest desire you'll have in a cold setting as things are already being sterilized by the cold. If it's not infected, you may just want to heat up the ambient air instead of trying to heat the water only. Also animals will tame faster, if my understanding of the mechanics is correct, if they're groomed regularly. You have an insurmountable wall taking up space that you really need to reallocate to somewhere else in that room. That wall is blocking the flox's from getting to the grooming station, meaning they're not getting tamed or their taming process is severely slowed. Like it's a case of you've created the literal thing blocking your progress because you thought it was a great idea in your incompetence. You'd be better off if you completed that carbon sink basement and got more of the Alveo Vera plants actually working. The longer you're going with only 2 or 3 of those things, the less O2 is available for you to fix everything else. Just a suggestion though. You're fighting temp, hunger, and suffocation and right now, suffocation seems to be the biggest impediment to your progress. Your dupes are gasping for air more often than they are working which is losing you precious progress.

Protip for next time you play don't place your wires inside your walls, as they're a background builds and by the time you get to better conductive wire that could replace it you already need heavy watt wire, which can't go through walls. So you're gonna have to re route your whole power system soon because its gonna break down really really quickly
Heavy watt doesn't need to go through the base at all, you just need an insulated utility corridor. Conductive wires can go in the floor no problem, plus wires are ugly to the dupes.

Please deconstruct the wall inside the critter room otherwise they can’t be groomed, and also you have a lot of oxylite under your base!
