For anyone who’s curious there was no need to cut an RE-root these poor little haworthias especially the pups. Every pup removed (except 1) had its own set of roots and was ready to be planted directly into soil. The roots that were cut on the parent plant were almost all alive and thriving. Those plump red roots were a good sign of a healthy root structure. Since haworthias like to grow in the winter, those roots store nutrients away for later use. After the nutrients is used up the roots will turn white and almost feel crumply like paper. Anyone thinking of cutting roots like this should absolutely expect to lose a few plants as you’re ensuring the plant no longer has access to water or nutrients. If you CAN just leave it alone and keep the (very fragile) roots in dirt. Pot them up and they’ll do great. A lot less work and it’s a lot easier to start up roots from a single root than no roots.
@@shubhi.saxena yup they were. Don’t treat your plant like this if you have this. Just leave the roots. They said in the video to scrub to remove mold and fungus and if you are experiencing root rot then yes do exactly what they did in the video. But yeah under normal circumstances where the roots looked like the video absolutely do not repeat this.
I bought a dozen succulents online and this one was a free gift. They all died 4 years ago, but that one plant has given me hundreds of babies. It's my pride and joy. Thank you for the information ❤

Hello Pall Mall, how are you👋 Few days ago I uploaded My Orchids video update, if you have time you see ua-cam.com/video/p54hiH9XhCw/v-deo.html Thanks for coming Evelyn
My Hawothia looks so different than the ones I see on UA-cam. Mine is a good 8" tall and looks like a perfect busy Christmas tree. It seems to have softer leaves than the ones you show here and my plant is a bit more jiggly than the very stiff ones you show in the video. Mine has which seems to be a new top growing now which is a lighter green right now that the rest of it. It looks very healthy but I wonder if I should but it in a bigger pot? It's whole base is the same size as the diameter of the top of the pot, so idk?

This is amazing! I will do this too as my Zebra plant seems to have dried leaves now. Do I need to cut all roots before I transplant my Zebra plant in water even if I see some healthy ones? Can they be kept in water forever, or do I need to put it back in soil after sometime? Thanks!
