  • Tetra Glowfish care and tank setup is very easy. Feed your glofish some descent quality food and taking care of them will be a bit easier. I’m a huge fan of Omega One brand.

Hi everyone! I just wanted to thank anyone and everyone who helped me along the journey to get my betta with a broken back in a comfortable living situation... this is his progress photo I put together.... he still can’t swim right but he does wiggle around his tank a lot more often I even got a large tub from Walmart that I set up so he could have more space without being too far away from the top thank you all for helping me make a happy fish out of him!
Hi everyone thanks for the add! First time fish owner got him at a child's mermaid themed birthday party they had one at every table I couldnt bare the thought of it getting flushed so I took him home..no idea what I'm doing. Quickly bought a 5 gallon tank and read up on the care. Filled it with live plants and a cave. I bought tiny Marimo moss balls. Im also thinking of getting a zebra snail. I Feed it 3 to 4 pellets a day and have a small filter on the low setting. I have gallon jugs of water around the house to let the chlorine dissipate before putting in the tank after cleaning. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thank you! I never thought I could love a fish he has his own little personality and perks up when I come in the room it's so cool! He probably just wants food but hey ill take it lol. He's beautiful and you're doing really good!! Pellets don't have much protein or nutrients. Live or frozen food is much better for then! But besides that, it seems like you're doing an amazing job! I feed about 5-6 a day cause he gets fed once. Do you have a heater? Make sure you buy a water conditioner it’s to be safe than sorry.
He’s definitely very pretty! Congratulations on your new betta. I feed my bettas twice a day. They get mostly frozen food defrosted in a little cup of tank water. They get soaked pellets for breakfast about 3 times a week and are fasted in Sunday. My crowntail has a tiny belly so he gets less food each feeding. I stop feeding once they have a full round little belly. If any of them look big bellied the next morning they skip a meal, intil their bellies look normal again.
Hey Chris! I was looking online for some small fresh water fish and I came around your UA-cam channel and it from what I saw it obvious to me that you love and want the best for fish. Right now I'm looking to get a fish because I think it would be good for me to learn to take responsibility of some other living creature other than myself lol
I have a very small tank from my childhood where I had some kind of beta fish thats only 9x5x4 inches big which brings the total volume of the fish tank to .77 Gallons of water. That is excluding the 1 plastic plant and some pebbles for a flooring I could use to decorate the tank. Also I don't have any kind of filter or pump so to change the water I would separate the fish into other container and clean out the tank and fill it back up again with room temperature (around 77-79 degrees fahrenheit) drinkable clean tap water.
I unfortunately do not have too much extra money that I could use to invest into a better set up so with the small tank, 1 plastic plant and some pebbles is all I'm working with as of right now.
As I said before I am looking to get a fish but I don't want to be that guy who gets a fish that lives uncomfortably and in stress due to my small set up, I would feel horrible if I did that to a fish I was trying to take care of. So I'm coming here to ask you if there are any fish that would live in the set up I have currently have? Please be honest and if theres nothing you can recommend I'll probably get some sort of plant to take care of instead, but I would prefer a fish first. Thanks for your consideration/time!
