Wow, I can only imagine what it felt like to open that box of books that you made! Hopefully I'll be finding out soon 😁 Thanks for posting the review! I might be using them to print my first zine when the time comes

Congrats on getting your zine printed! I'm considering the same specs for a print project from Mixam and seeing how yours came out gives me a better idea of what to expect. Cool stuff--thanks for making this review!

Thank you for doing a review. I just came upon them in the last couple of days. Their prices seem very nice. I will print one at first just to see how my book will be. Very nice video.

Nice. I’m pretty tech savvy and I made a zine in adobe indesign and ordered from mixam. I have no idea how you did the outside spine. The website shows it’s like 0.08. I didn’t know how to add that in adobe. By the way that’s a massive zine haha ! It’s cool though

Hey there! Thanks for the review. I have a few questions for you.
I am looking to center some images, as well. You said your photos are getting lost in the spine. When you were creating the zine did you use a template? Did you crop your image in half then just drag it to the trim line? Did you use Mixam's templates?
You said the spine is kinda coming apart. Do you think this is because of the amount of pages your have? Maybe the cover is too thick?

Thanks for the review! I would be interested to see how the heavier gsm stock papers would feel and look for a zine

Yes, I have the 110 paper for the cover and I think it would look cool for inside pages! :)

how did you get black background for your zine? Did you use greyscale or cmyk colorspace, and if the latter, what mix did you use?

Thanks for the review, I’m about to order my very first zine also at Mixam. I was going for the 70lb paper, but after watching your video I changed my mind lol 😂 thanks!

How did you format each page? It looks like Mixam has a template but I haven't looked at it enough to see if it is an actual template or just information. So what did you do to 'send' your collection of text/images to. Mixam? Thanks...nicely done, jim

hey, love your zine. I'm currently trying to print a photobook with Mixam and I'm having a nightmare trying to get my images centred accommodating the 7mm gutter do you have any tips?

May be you were lucky but I got mine and the photos look bad in terms of color. Very washed out and not even close to the original. I won´t use them again. Greetings!

Are your monitor calibrated? What are the parameters like color profile etc. during the editing and saving your images?

I don’t think printed photo will ever look like what you see on the screen.. also make sure you set them as CMYK not RGBs. Also don’t forget to export them at 300 dpi.. hopefully you did all that . I will be trying their services soon so I hope they’re gonna be good. From the looks of her Zine I’d honestly be quite happy
