Konnichiwa! When I saw the recipe, thought the custard will be cooked before adding onto the biscuit base. Think that's why it's a cake and not a tart. Noticed that lemon juice was added to the apples but it's not stated in the description box. Optional? Thank you.

@@CookingSweetsExplorationStudio thank you, I learnt a lot from you too! Normally, I'll pair thick batter(cheese etc) with a biscuit base as thin batter tends to seep in easily. On the other hand, this will give the bottom a different texture and flavour. Makes cutting easier too as it won't be so messy, I will give it a try. Thank you again and have a nice Sunday!
