- One of my last far-out adventures for the year! I had wanted to keep this back in the queue as I have a bunch of other videos to process before this, but some people were getting restless, so I caved!
Mike and I ventured west to Otoe County, Nebraska, to catch Nebraska City's siren test after finding out they test through December, and central Iowa was a soaking mess, so many placed either canceled or flat out failed. While at the 1000 downtown, I had my recorder dropped between a few sirens, and wow...this has to be the best ambiance yet! The other videos will take a WHILE to churn out; you know me, it's that busy time of year, but don't fret, there's greatness ahead! Thanks for tuning in!
Sirens:
- Several 2T22's
- Federal Enterprises Thunderbolt 1000
- 2001-SRN's (2nd Generation)
- 2001-130's
Date Recorded: 11/05/2022
Location: Nebraska City
City/State/County: Otoe County, NE
Testing day/time: First Saturdays at 10:00AM, March - December, weather permitting
Cycle(s) tested: Full alert, full attack (Thunderbolt only)
Additional enthusiast(s) present: Mike A. (mn_sirens)
Recording equipment:
- Sony ICD PX-370 audio recorder
NOTE: I, Midwest Siren Productions, shall NOT BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE for any unauthorized use of the radio or siren audio UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. This is made purely for entertainment and educational purposes only and is in no way meant to encourage foul play.
Enjoy, and thanks for tuning in to MSP!

Oh this is juicier than a pot roast! Awesome ambience. That thunderbolt sure is awesome sounding!
@zenithchromo There's not gonna be any more Green Bean casserole left because I S T O L E it all.
God damn that’s a very eerie ambience the 2t22s reminds me of Purdue’s old system before pretty much everything got replaced
This ambience is something else, amazing work! The 3t22s in alert with the 1000 in attack sound perfect together. It sounds both relaxing and frightening
2T22s, actually. Not tryna be rude or anything.
@@HSETM ah didn't notice, thanks!
Holy shit! Absolutely incredible recording dude! Award winning shit right here
There is foam actively coming out of my mouth as I listen to this
Rabies
Jk
Sounds like a golden-age system!
That Thunderbolt is from 1958, which means it's Sign and Signal.... N O T E N T E R P R I S E S.

On the real, I think if I heard this I'd fucking freeze and shit my pants, this is actually horrifying in the best way. Well caught my friend!

@@1000BT Jared has proof. Ask him.
IMO it's pretty relaxing.
wish I could have heard this when I was up there back in august, unfortunately I had missed the test by a few days. awesome video though!!
I went siren hunting today and I saw a 3t22 (by a 2001) a t-bolt 1003
Are you gonna start getting 1 PMs in Warren County again, once April hits?
The 2t22s sounds like the Madison SD 2t22 ambience
Quick question. What editor did you use for the thumbnails you make?
I use a site called Fotor. It's a free photo editor that allows you to edit individual pictures and projects that save text overlays and additional bits and bobs. Highly recommended!
I’ll try it out next time I record a siren test. Thanks for letting me know.
@@MidwestSirenProductions I've used Fotor before and I honestly like it!
I live for this stuff
OH YUMMY
Nice 👍
Amazing
now this is errie to the bone bro!
I would say it's musical tbh(with the 1000 I would say it is eerie, but the 2T22s and 2001s sound so musical.
2T22A + 2001 SRN + THUNDERBOLT 1000
Do one of pierce Nebraska that ambience sound godly
Hey Midwest Siren Productions, That Sounds Outstanding Also Go To Arbor Avenue And 2nd Avenue That Federal Signal 2001-130 Replaced A Federal Signal 2T22
Also, I Can Hear Federal Enterprises Thunderbolt 1000 Federal Signal 2001-SRN's (2nd Generation) And Federal Signal 2001-130's
Zearing went off on Nov 5th.
Not complaining… just curious why the Tbolt does attack. Is it set off manually?
Yes its activated by AF timer
What the hell is the activation process here?? 🤣
The only manually activated siren is apparently the thunderbolt; also why it does attack as the rest of the state does steady.
Radio is first, telephone is second, and the Thunderbolt is third. The telephone relay system and Thunderbolt AR timer are in the same room in the attic in the courthouse. All of the 2001s and one 2T22 are radio activated, the remaining 2T22s are telephone operated, and the Thunderbolt obviously is operated by itself.
@@mnsirens a 99 Year old man operates it
@@1000BT Dispatch has a person run up there and set them off. It’s not operated by a 99 year old man.
@@1000BT I wanna know the drugs you use.
Nice
