Z06 is naturally aspirated. This Vette is a killer. While most other exotic sports cars use power enhancers this ride doesn't. Lot of jealous people out there hating on this ride, but this is one of the fastest naturally aspirated exotic rides in the world, that's a fact even if some people don't want to believe a chevy can smoke half a million dollar exotics, and even some million dollar exotics.

Car is designed for race track not even drag racing . Also, it’s NA unlike all these modern day forced induction cars . Despite the skinnies and drag radials the car still has the power to put down these numbers . Add to that the way it corners , brakes and sounds and it’s an amazing car ! I just hit 500 miles on mine and I’m more and more impressed everyday ..

The C5 Z06 put the Italians on notice, the C6Z06 was a world beater, The blue devil C6 ZR1 beat everything on the streets, the C7 ZR1 made Ferarri and McLaren go back to the drawing board, and the C8 Z06 is doing it again, and they still have 2 more models to go. I appreciate the 9 second time, but what if a 100% stock did a 9 4 and that is faster than Ferraris, McLarens, etc. That would be fun to debate with people who think the C8 isn't a true supercar.

Bone stock means sbe, top end, no power adders, no gutting, no tune. So yes, bone stock. Fuel and wheels are to optimize spark and ignition and to improve traction and momentum.

This car has small wheels and tires. People have run 9s with almost nothing in a GT500, (just an intake and drag radials).
Nah, Dodge needs the biggest supercharger in the world and the Ford GT is Twin Turbo. This Z06 is all natural horsepower.

Not stock. Tires are different and possible street radials. Can be running on race fuel too. Stocks c8 z06 runs 10’s. I bet it’s tuned too.
NO TUNE @ all And the group running for theses records agreed to the Non OEM wheel and tires because the car can not do a burn out without a tune. That's why you only see them doing dry hops!!

@@377ndacut those tires are koosiers drag slicks. Those tires alone will get you into the high 9s. So this makes sense. Engine is stock but the tires are aftermarket and the front tires are skinnier for weight reduction. Still impressive tho

the tires on that car look like hoosier R7s. youre not driving those tires on the street on purpose. the are track specific tires that are "DOT complaint", meaning they fall within the rules for about 5 minutes. theyre considered non street legal after 1-2 burnouts.
the point is that putting a dedicated drag tire on a "Stock" car isnt the same thing putting a REAL street tire (yes i consider a 200tw tire street legal). drag radials and slicks are not street tires, stop pretending they and stop being ignorant.

huge vette fan and owner, but skinnies on the front is not stock, cant tell what tires on the rear but anything more than R888 is not legit. if its stock truly , about bringing the car to east coast to help , help what? If they are stock , was it altitude? Track temps? The other i heard was track prep. That is huge. LOL just noticed end of video, " NON OEM WHEELS AND TIRES" . SO, front and rear tires, total track prep makes sense. LMR truly took a stock z06 barely after break in ran 10.3, non prep track, hot during the day. Makes sense having rears and skinny fronts with a track prep pulling what it did. its NOT a stock world record they say it at the end.
You should watch the video again. Info about the wheels/tires was mentioned. And the folks shooting for the records all agree on using non OEM wheels and tires for these runs.
