Bjork is a genious too, but I recognized the talent of Kate was enter in all the ways she was a dancer, and actress,an artist, a good comediant,a politician music, songwritter, a mimo, a wman so talented, so great that nothing compares to her. I am 28 years old and I have 5 months to know this talented woman and I amazed, really¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ Kate is very very eclectic and that´s amazed¡¡¡¡
This might be the best totally live performance of a song that Kate has ever done, purely because the extended intro and the more pronouncedly carnival-like instrumentation are beautifully delicate and mysterious in comparison to the album version of Kite. The album version is more dynamic pop, comparitively. Both are great, both serve their own purposes to the best. The ending is like a precursor to The Line The Cross and The Curve video of being blown about by the elements. Please see my channel for a magical tour of 96 of Kate Bush's songs, including this live performance of Kite. The playlist order is to tell a story/create a mood.
yes indeed she was blown into Moments of Pleasure ! we never know where this journey is taking but we can adapt along the way just be honest be pure be true be you !
I really like her in the beginning of her career and there’s something about some of the music was usually the obscure music that turned me on. Her style was so upbeat I really liked her but as time moved on she just sounded more bland...I don’t know if you agree but I actually like a lot of her very early works for the recent they have a certain quality that she didn’t maintain
@marisa I'm so happy that Kate is rich enough... No need to tour, no need to please fans, to sing ad nauseum songs like wuthering height babooshka ruthill.... Master of her creativity on her own label : that's freedom Female singers are not allow to grow old to change.... 12 years between the red shoes and aerial and you don't want her to change, to be different, to strip her sound... I'm happy that's she's free from people like you.... Just move on
Wrong. Amanita muscaria. Ibotenic acid does that to you (belly ache). Later, she describes the feeling of flying attained after eating one. Umbrellas look suspicious too. Amanita muscaria is well-known to inspire lyrics and song. I believe she has been strongly influenced (especially in her early career) by this mushroom. I highly recommend reading "The Sacred Mushroom and the Cross" to become informed. Also, check out "December Will be Magic Again", both the video & record sleeve. Case closed.
I love how she added the extra bit to the song just so she'd get to run around the stage screaming! She's so wonderfully childish!
I was there. She was out of this world.....and we learnt how good a dancer she was.....
envyyyyyyy!!!!! :)
Kite Bush
They don’t make this level of artistic talent anymore. What a gem. I was only 9 or I would have gone lol.
Im so greatful this exists.

she's magical
I just love how different she is, and not caring what anyone else thinks!
That's the point for success. The number one reason for it.
Class as always, I would have loved to have been there
She amazes me.
Absurdly strange and hilarious. She's an icon!
The band is holding that rhythm(especially at the end) .

Man, these years were incredible.
Kate is a gorgeous story teller in all her brilliant music 🎶 a real genius! 💜😂🎶☕⭐✨🌄
Diamond Kate
the long outro was indeed to give her time to change - in this case into a cowgirl for 'James And The Cold Gun'....
Actually the Beelzebub line refers to female stomach cramps :)
The backup vocals reminds me so much of Minnie Riperton Les Fleurs I feel like Kate was inspired by her
Always a real treat to watch Kate do her stuff 🥰
Leo sun Aquarius moon: Full moon child 🌝 and it shows
Come back for us, Kate!
maravilloso tema, maravillosa cantante
What a cool version !!
I love her so much
Great classic stuff of course, and kudos to Kate's marvellous live band!!
This is just wonderful.
4:10 it's a precursor of violin 😁

this tune has gotta b bout gettin green
Actually, it's about an amanita muscaria trip. "Beelzebub is aching in my belly, oh!"
@Beekbee I presume she means wellies, or wellingtons. One can never be sure with Kate! lol
Yep, "Wellies" is colloquial British English for (rubber) Wellington Boots. :o)
I think the bit at the end where the strange guy walks on was to give her time to change. She had a comedian on between songs for this purpose also.
For my mother I am looking for the entire show, does anyone have that? We used to have it on VCR but lost it somehow
You can find them on eBay.
@Deliaboard I think she's releasing a new album next month! :-)
I understand why she had waited 35 yrs for another live: it had been a tour de Force 🤣
hoping in another one... or my bucket list is not going to work :)
"Beelzebub" = amanita muscaria.
amazing! What year is this?
1993 I think
It can only be 1979 - The Tour of Life, the year of Kate Bush's only tour until her London shows in 2014. 1993, Alexander?!
@PeckyThePigeon 2007? Does she look 49 years old here?
Dears Mss. Madonna, Lady Gaga, Bjork....look and begin to learn something!
No need to put down someone to put UP someone Else !
+ björk and Madonna are already Big fan of Kate Bush
