Well there goes all my build secrets.lol I'm glad you are happy with the bed. I do my best to turn out a high quality hand made product. It's too bad you removed the lower mount from the prop rod on the first go. It would have saved a lot of effort by removing the two 3mm countersunk bolts that hold the fork on the mount but the way you did it works fine also. The next one will be a breeze!
@@HobbyconceptsLLC mine were all grand hauler sized dump truck and they cleared the driveshaft no problem. I do believe the it will work on the King the same way because you only have to flip that first cross member. Funny thing now is even on regular truck builds i still build them that way even if they aren't getting a RCP bed. Force of habbit i guess lol.
Amazing setup on your radio to use the capabilities of that MFC Esc. Getting all the various lights control intergrated/programmed onto your radio should be fun.
I did not know the multi function kit could run that much from the radio, now I understand why it costs so much. And that bed is a work of art, looks like someone just shrank a real dump bed down.
Thanks for the link to RCP`s site Bob , it is a beautifull dumpbed. Your client will love it and thanks to your great video`s so will I , when I when I get to build it. The detail you put in your video`s makes it so that anyone can build it. Everything is explained very clearly. [ as you do in all your video`s] Greetings Gerard
Loving the rear bed. I think it would look better if screws in the bed were counter sunk and stainless steel. I have been premoting your vids and channels to my FB group. ~Keep up the good work. :)
Stainless bolts are very soft and the heads will only handle being put in and out so many times before they strip. I used countersunk heads on the first few beds I made years ago but found the inconsistency in powder coat thickness caused fitment issues between construction and the finished product. Using button heads allow me to slot the holes slightly.
WOW, Bob!!!! Super nice dumper......another fine creation!!!! Kudos to RCP57!!!!!! I dunno, maybe it's just me, but gimbal type transmitters just don't feel natural when driving a vehicle........perfect for flying, but driving, eh!!!! After all, I've never driven a car with a joystick and probably won't in my lifetime. I bought a Radiolink 6ch steering wheel transmitter for my King Hauler..........yeah, I know.......don't go there, Bob, don't you dare!!!!!
Ha! I am just the opposite. I like wheel transmitters for race cars and maybe even crawlers but not tanks or trucks. Great thing about the hobby is that we have the choice! Thank you for watching!
Hi Bob, just purchase the Tamiya Mercedes Benz tipper ( ie dumpster ) it doesn't come with the tipping mechanism. You have give me some good ideas on the wiring side of it . Great video 👍
excellent how-to vid and the fruck is coming on great, fantastic work. have you taking the shaker unit out? if so are you going to put it back, have heard they can be more hassle than benifit
great detailed how to video, but just 1 concern, wouldn't it be better to have the bed function on a 3 way switch , so you don't have to hold the gimbal switch? it does have built in limit switches in bed. that way when your dropping the bed you can be driving off
Yes, that would work and there are 2 ways to do it. One would be a servo hooked to a 3 way switch and the other would be an electronic switch. The servo and switch is messy and frankly no good place to mount. The electronic switch would work but really no advantage to the speed control that I could see. Also being able to operate the bed very slowly at times could come in handy. Also the Hobbywing speed control I used is waterproof and I have not seen an electronic switch that is.
I have the grand Hauler and go off road and wanted to know about the tires on this dump truck! If you could tell me the specs on them please and thank you!
If you want a dump bed on a Euro truck just get the Tamiya Tipper truck. I have them here in stock and plan on doing a build on one soon (for myself!) that I will be converting to locking diff's and 6 wheel drive.

Yes. I recommend the 10 channel radio: hobbyconcepts.net/products/flysky-fs-i6x-2-4ghz-10-channel-radio-modified-for-tamiya-semi-trucks?_pos=2&_sid=ecf970823&_ss=r
Yep, been thinking about that. The cab is still removable with the dump bed down so last ditch that will work. I also have been thinking about putting a charge plug down on the frame someplace...
bonjours, merci pour ces 3 vidéos, j'aimerai savoir qui fabrique cette benne avec son levage qui est vraiment génial, si vous pouviez me donné ces références, je serai super content. je suis de France.

Always beautiful work on your designs 👍🏼
Isn't easier just to flip the cross member over. No cutting. What I did on all my RCP dump truck builds.
Flipped over the web can sometimes hit the driveshaft.

You can also use heat shrink when using a servo extension, they won’t come apart. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Bob the build quality of the products you use are brilliant
And you explain every thing so well thank you its a pleasure to watch a master at work
Thank you!
THANK YOU...for sharing That box is amazing. Fantastic job installing the electronics.
Great job looking forward to you doing a stretch dump truck for me soon and a stretch granhauler as well thanks for doing the videos as well...
What a beautiful truck build!

WOW that looks amazing. great work on the wiring and the dump bed from rcp. You couldn't picked a better guy for that bed.

The King hauler dump truck starting to look awesome great job

Very impressive with your work, the detail you put in your video’s is excellent and explained very clearly. Have watched a lot of your video’s...Ken
Thank you for watching!
WOW. 😲 that looks AWESOME
Them Hobby Wing ESC's, are great for the price they cost!
Another Great tutorial video! Thanks, Bob.
Yes, also like the fact they are waterproof.
I love your online store. Will be ordering soon.

Absolutely great. My bed was built same time as yours. My chassis is in pcs because I'm painting it. That white is going to be great with a red cab
THATS PROFESSIONAL WORK 🤙
I just found your channel the other day and you sir are quite impressive! I have RCPs stuff on my build and he is also out standing!
Harry P. Ness do you know if this will work with the ford aeromax?
@@backyardcrashandbash6438 no. The ford Aeromax has a different frame setup. I have made 3-4 beds for them though
Good stuff Sir.
Hi Bob, just purchase the Tamiya Mercedes Benz tipper ( ie dumpster ) it doesn't come with the tipping mechanism. You have give me some good ideas on the wiring side of it . Great video 👍
The tipper actuator is Tamiya #56545
@@HobbyconceptsLLC I am going to make my own tipping mechanism and copying your wiring . thanks Bob. 👍✌️🇬🇧😷
This is looking great. Love the detail and you make some great how to videos. You gotta sell the front speaker mounts and anything else you create...
Great video, as always!
That’s really nice
Now that’s really nice
LOL very cool. Well got to do one of these.
excellent how-to vid and the fruck is coming on great, fantastic work. have you taking the shaker unit out? if so are you going to put it back, have heard they can be more hassle than benifit
Nope, it is still there. Just unplugged it for the other testing. I personally like them but easy to adjust or unplug if you want.
Looks great. My question is how do you plan to access the battery once the bed is down? Wasn't the battery access the back panel of the day cab?
Secrets! Stay Tuned!!

Great video! What happened to the cab shake when the truck starts?
I have the vibration unit unplugged for now while I build and test things.
Wow this is coming along very nice. Do you think this Dump bed will fit a Tamiya Mercedes or a Volvo? Or is it a American style truck dump bed?
No it will not fit. The cab and chassis setups are much different although I have built a couple for the euro trucks
If you want a dump bed on a Euro truck just get the Tamiya Tipper truck. I have them here in stock and plan on doing a build on one soon (for myself!) that I will be converting to locking diff's and 6 wheel drive.
@@RCP57 You can build one for the euro trucks? Price?
@@HobbyconceptsLLC Great Bob, Can the locking diffs be controlled by the Remote?
Yes, that is the plan! Hope to work on that soon.

If I buy that radio on your website and connect everything correct to the mfc will all those functions work or will I have to program the radio?
The radios I sell are already programmed. Just hook up and go. They come with a hook up sheet.
@@HobbyconceptsLLC so I will be able to run the dump the same one as you did with your radio?
Yes. I recommend the 10 channel radio: hobbyconcepts.net/products/flysky-fs-i6x-2-4ghz-10-channel-radio-modified-for-tamiya-semi-trucks?_pos=2&_sid=ecf970823&_ss=r
I noticed that the dump bed has to be left up to get a battery installed . It might get difficult to change if it runs out of charge.
Yep, been thinking about that. The cab is still removable with the dump bed down so last ditch that will work. I also have been thinking about putting a charge plug down on the frame someplace...
Can I Connect a hydraulic pump to my mfc? If I cut the red? Because I’m making a Lesu hydraulic set up
No, the MFC will not handle that.
You do really nice work how can I get in touch with you to build one for me or a 18 wheeler truck and trailer for my monster truck
email me at jacobsenra@hotmail.com

How do you remove the battery if it goes dead the with dump bed down
Watch part 4
What kit do you use for English sounds
Tamiya MFC-03 Euro or MFC-01 U.S.
Is that white dump bed aluminum or steel?
Powdercoated aluminum.
SHHHH My wife cant know I am watching this youtube channel.
Seriously!! Best comment ever!
Absolutely!

this tamiya king hauler truck is a same design gearbox with 540 motor for tamiya ford F-350 and toyota tundra
Theory is the same but the design is quite different.
Are there anymore parts to come?
Yep! Working on part 4 right now.
Will this work with Tamils ford aeromax?
No. They require a different setup. I’ve built 3-4 to fit the Aeromax
When I try moving my joy stick to the right I don’t hear a click
Radio needs to be programmed and plugged in correctly and then Mapped to the MFC for all functions to work.
@@HobbyconceptsLLC how can I do that?
