I had the idea that the women league was treating their players a lot better, it sounds like there is a lot of work to do. Good for them, hopefully this will bring a lot opportunities for new players of all ages and colors and ways of thinking and for everyone 🤓.

This is a great story, but where is the coverage of the MLS St. Louis CITY SC majority female lead ownership group? STLSC was founded almost 1 year prior to Angel City FC, and it is a majority female lead ownership group.
Isn’t that team owned by the family who owns enterprise and the St. Louis Blues …if it is then family money doesn’t count
Filled to capacity.....bunch of empty seats in the footage. That being said, I do hope this works out and women actually show an interest in showing up to the games beyond a mere game or two and then moving on. It's up to them to succeed, you're not going to get equal pay when men are far more interested in sports of their gender as opposed to women who don't nearly as much with theirs. It's simple economics.

I understand that the USSF makes money off players but that money is necessary to pay for day to day expenses, like flying, hotels, payroll etc. but to say that no young girl should aspire to play for her country until female players are paid a fair wage is the wrong msg to send to kids. You don't ever represent your country for money, you do it for the honor of wearing the red white & blue and to represent your country on the highest level.

This equal pay is for people who wants a handouts. You get paid what you are worth and your contribution.
The pay structure they are offering is not sustainable but if that want to which to do then, good luck.
It's a feel good story but the product still sucks. The European female soccer league is 10 times better. This is coming from an American
football in United States became the fourth most popular sport in the country if we look at the numbers. Let's say that when baseball is losing popularity, football is rising up. This is for the sake of women's football. We will watch the World Cup next summer, I think it will have stronger impact on the people of the planet. Women football players of US national team are getting famous in the world more than any baseball or American football player. I am not American btw.

Their average attendance is actually higher than 14 other MLS teams. And they’re the highest in NWSL

@@guillermoperalta6659 My comment might seem sexist at first glance but when one realizes my comment was on the financial prowess of not only a soccer team, which though might be the most prodigious sport in the rest of the world , it's not here. And, I'm sorry to tell you, it's never going to happen here. But, THEN, as we know, standardized women's leagues have never been boons for income. The audience just isn't there. I'm just being truthful in that it isn't a smart investment. And, though Natalie certainly is a smart cookie, this is going to end up a project of love and loss.
@@MarcosIsABaritone I don't like Angel City but they've had some of the best attendance in the league so far this season. They haven't had an audience smaller than 17k and that's for a stadium that holds 22k. The league is now expanding again to add 2 more teams and they've done all this without US Soccer in control.
@@jariemonah as an ACFC fan and season ticket holder I can confirm and also add that something like 75% of seats are held as season tickets..aka guaranteed revenue. Resale on my seats is somewhere between 20-30% markup. 2023 season tickets are up ~20% from 2022. There is zero doubt in my mind that this club is going to be financially successful. I don't know about other clubs but in terms of ACFC this Marcos guy is talking out of his 🍑.
