I can relate to this..My stepfather beat the shit out of my mom and and me with a belt, he also punched my older brother in the face and he could fight..and at 13 i stood at the top of the stairs with the courage of my friends and older brothers... with my stepfather looking up at me and i threw all his clothes out the top bedroom window as i stood scared but prepared holding his baseball bat ...knowing the strategy and advantage of being at the top of the stairs me being 80-90lbs and stepfather being 280lbs and mean this isnt something a 13 year old should be thinking of it should be outside playing... i told him hes not welcome here anymore...he gathered his stuff and left that day, and it was the day my life started. At 16 i was left on my own Mom moved to P.E.I. I only made it to Grade 11 but i am now a Union Film Carpenter and Actra Background Actor and professional Concert/Sports Photographer living my dreams.
