Hi! Thank you so much🩷 I don’t have consultation services yet I know @bhpublichealth (Instagram name) does and this is the link to her page instagram.com/bhpublichealth?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== I’m sure she can help!
Can you suggest me stem based mph programs in USA and universities. That will be great help . I’m planning to apply in texas and California and Florida
Hi there! I think if you want a program more driven by STEM you will probably need to look into Masters of Science, in that realm you may find anything from Environmental health, spatial data for public health, etc..
Hi! I am so happy to know this information has been helpful for you. I found this under the verification info tab: help.liaisonedu.com/SOPHAS_Applicant_Help_Center/Submitting_and_Monitoring_Your_SOPHAS_Application/Verification_and_GPA_Calculations_for_SOPHAS/1_What_is_Verification%3F I hope hear which school you end up choosing😍
Hello Please I really need your advice. I am applying to an MPH in Epidemiology program that place emphasis on quantitative skills. And I just got a GRE score that is very low V144 Q141. Although GRE is optional for my program but I wanted to apply with a GRE score to improve my profile. Please would you suggest I go ahead and apply with this score or I should completely ignore it. Do you think it will do more harm than good?
@@maroagbanobi9700 Hi 👋🏾 so happy you are applying to an MPH in Epi🤞🏽🤓 I see your concern and what I’m about to say is based on my personal opinion, but obviously you will be the ultimate decision-maker. 1- I will reach out to the graduate admissions contact that you may have probably met with before to ask questions regarding the program and ask them a bit more about this. 2- I will say that based on your program and what you have learned so far about it and it’s requirements, if you understand they make a huge emphasis on the GRE, then it would do no harm to re-take it. I know some schools say to take it if “you think your overall application is not that strong” so in that sense they encourage applicants to take the exam to have more leverage. I hope this helps!!
@@PublicHealthwithAle Wow. This was really helpful and I really do appreciate. I will reach out to the program coordinator and see what he has to say about it, and if I'll necessarily have to retake it. Thank you so much ❤️❤️
Hi, no problem! You need to pay the SOPHAS application and also pay the application for the school as well. If you qualify for a waiver, you could get in contact with the school and they will help you with that
@@fortuneorish559 all programs have a cost, however you can apply for scholarships and such which may allow you to reduce the cost of tuition and other expenses significantly
Hey i am planning to pursue mph from usa and I i wanted to know if university plays a critical role for getting a job... recently i got an acceptance letter from adelphi university and im not sure if i should move ahead with this.
Hi! congrats on the acceptance at Adelphi university. In general, the job market in the USA right now does require most job seekers to have a degree (technical/trade or a 2 or 4 year college university degree) in order to obtain most jobs. In public health there are jobs you could do without an MPH, but from my experience most do require you to have a MPH or another graduate school equivalent. I hope this helps!
@@PublicHealthwithAle Thank you! Actually I meant if they consider university ranking, if the candidate has done mph from private or public university, to hire employees.
@@cosmicbladee ohhh no it should not matter! Whether you go to public or private you will be considered based on your skills and qualifications that align with the jobs that you are applying to. Also whether it’s private or public, always make the best effort to make connections and expand your network :)
Hi! Yes you may use them same. Keep in mind that depending on your school application instructions, they may ask (again) that your recommenders send in the applications (same process you did for SOPHAS). I hope this helps!
Hi! Not sure what ecgmg is but to register for SOPHAS you need to basically put your personal email and a password. Once you are in, you will put all information regarding the programs you are applying
Hi! If the university uses SOPHAS you will need to complete the SOPHAS application. Moreover, check if they also require an internal application as well. All the steps towards application to a program should be listed in their website :) as well as the link for the internal application (if they ask for it).
I know :( but I had completed my SOPHAS monthsss before I recorded this video. Feel free to watch this video I found to see how the SOPHAS portal looks like: ua-cam.com/video/Ueof0MpvVA8/v-deo.htmlsi=z9sXv8AxH_bXe64W I hope it helps :)
Thank you Ale I appreciate you explaining the application process.
You are welcome and it is my pleasure to be able to help!
