+Vasily Gurzhiy I know lol I did try to load it with as much information as possible. I sent your stickers Monday Vasily, you should have them very soon!
@@leoshiin9712 yeah , I had that as an option. Hope you know people make rubber stamps out of flipflops as a process of reusing the waste.Likewise , riser pads.
What a nifty idea for a hack & I know I have the money but sometimes a teenager or a child doesn't. Another thing, I love these skate hack videos of yours because it's something different & creative. Lastly, what about making your own Rib Bones Rails?
Can't wait to see your video to know what idea you came up with & you're almost ready for the ultimate challenge that will put your skill-set to the test. I swear, you deserve way more likes/subs & hopefully the channel becomes mainstream to skaters ASAP.
Usualle you use Shockpads to avoid "Stresscracks" on your Deck. The shockabsorbtion for your feet is minimal (and usally you wear shoes anyway) but the Impact of the truck to the Deck on Landings are very "stressy" for the wood. Shockpads prevent these Cracks. So alwas, i mean ALWAYS use shockpads.
The other trick is to use a countersink to get the deck bolts flush. Some I've seen online just keep crankin' the bolts down until the bolts are flush, crushing the deck in the process, and making a future crack more likely.
Thanks so much man for another great video/idea. I'm doing it tomorrow. P.S. my grip is totally ruined and i would kill for a fresh sheet so please keep me in mind. Thanks again!
+nateordie thanks dude! I like to bring you all something different occasionally haha. Definitely going to try to have some more tutorials soon! Thanks Nate!
Yo I actually searched for this video to see if anyone else had tried to make diy shock pads. I bought diamond risers but they were way too thick(1/8 inch) and were super rigid plastic, and the worst part was they were slightly smaller than the baseplate of my trucks. So while I was at work(I manage a local hardware store) i noticed we sold sheets of rubber gasket material that were in our plumbing section. The lightbulb in my head went off immediately. The rubber was about 1mm thick and once I traced both sets of my trucks and cut them out/drilled the holes.. they were perfect!! They even compressed down a little thinner than 1mm which is duckin great bc I know I’m not the only one that refuses to have risers that make my indys any taller than they already are.
+OhighO Skater Thx bud, trying to put out some more diy tutorials since it's been a few weeks since I've done one. I've got some good stuff rolled up my sleeve for next week!
Hay, it was like a month ago, but I asked if you guys do any sponsors and you replied, yes, and I sent in a video, but I'm not sure if it was the right email
I never was a fan of riser pads. I ride 52mm 101a wheels and I still get wheel bite on my board. but mainly because I did with my trucks between loose and tight.
You don't get as much wheel bite with shock pads & putting skate wax on your deck prevents it even more. Also, I would put 3in1 oil on the axle of the trucks to make it easier to turn/maneuver.
+Anthony DeWoody I'm trying my best to take more time. I feel like my days would go by extremely fast uploading a video each day, I sometimes didn't feel satisfied with the overall quality. Definitely want to make the videos worth all your guys while! Haha Thx bro,
Wow that's clever dude, I wonder if a person could do the same thing with one of those silicone baking mats
Thanks for the video, did the same thing today for my cruiser board :) It's not really a piece of cake, especially without a drill.
Its work on your cruiser?
Haven't ever seen more detailed video about riser pads!:D
Good job Jake!!!
+Vasily Gurzhiy I know lol I did try to load it with as much information as possible. I sent your stickers Monday Vasily, you should have them very soon!
AWESOME!:D
Just made one for my Revel kit…fingers crossed it works! 🤙🏼
I almost forgot this idea. It's expensive in India to buy these Riser pads. Guess I can make use of some flipflops for this. Thank you so much :)
Work with flipflops?
@@leoshiin9712 yeah , I had that as an option. Hope you know people make rubber stamps out of flipflops as a process of reusing the waste.Likewise , riser pads.
Nice, i will try, thanks

+AmuckPVP there you go again giving me another clever idea! DIY rails would be so sweet, I'm already thinking.

So what size risers should I use for 66mm cruiser wheels on a skateboard
I actually did this once as an experiment years ago! It took me a lot longer though lol
+Trevor Gascho that's sweet! I don't know why I didn't think of using a shoe sole before this haha.
Thanks so much man for another great video/idea. I'm doing it tomorrow. P.S. my grip is totally ruined and i would kill for a fresh sheet so please keep me in mind. Thanks again!

Oh and I forgot, I paid like 87 cents for the whole sheet which gave me two sets of shock pads.
now i just need to buy some shoes
If you don't own a pair of shoes I don't think you should be focusing on hobbies like skateboarding.
@@JD_tcb or maybe he just cut the ones he had... you don't get the joke...
Gonna make these for a bunch of my friends with shoe soles from goodwill!!👌🏻great video and please enter me this week

+Joshua Redden personally, I've never had risers on my board. Never noticed a huge difference but I also ride 52mm! 👊
Every little tweak here & there makes a big difference long-term.
