Great list Adam. I'd add American Werewolf In London personally. Solid transfer in audio and video plus a lot of really good extras. 👍 great video as usual, well done
I absolutely agree with The Thing and The Shining. Those are two of my favorite horror movies of all time, and they both look fantastic in 4K! And I definitely think that the Scream Factory 4K of Halloween looks much better than the previous 4K from Lionsgate, if I remember correctly. Now if only we could get The Fly (1986) on 4K, because that is another one of my all-time favorite horror movies and it has amazing practical effects like The Thing does so I think it could also look fantastic. Unfortunately that was Fox though, so idk if Disney would be interested in doing that... :(
Yes, The Thing, Halloween and The Shining. On Amazon there's currently a "13 Days of Scream Factory" Sale. I've ordered Halloween, Halloween II, Child's Play, Child's Play 2 and Child's Play 3. All these titles are about 45% off and there are tons of other great deals on Scream Factory releases at the moment. These will be my first Scream Factory editions. I do already own the first 4k release of Halloween, and I've always wanted to upgrade to the Scream Factory release. However, I'm from Europe, so it's quite expensive to import just one of these Scream Factory releases. Now that I could buy five movies with 45% off, it's finally worth importing them.
I must say Adam, this list is just perfect, and your review brilliant. I don't have them all, I need to put my hand on Dawn of the Dead and Suspiria. Please continue doing this perfect reviews. Thank you!
I have "It Follows" deluxe edition, "The Thing", "The Shining" and "Poltergeist". Like minds..., I want to get Suspiria (I have Phenomenon) and Dawn of the Dead soon. Great job as usual Adam!
alright before I watch your video Adam here are my top 10. Now let's see how many of these you picked as well!!! Halloween The Thing Dawn of the Dead (1978) Black Christmas Psycho Suspiria Invaion of the Body Snatchers (1978) The Silence of the Lambs It Follows edit: oh my god I forgot about The Shining! LOL we are spoiled on 4k
I’d like to give a shout out to Second Sight. I recently received a slightly damaged copy of “It Follows”. Within two weeks of reporting the problem, I received a brand new copy. No return of the old one required. 👍
As a horror movie fan thanks for posting this and of course I own every single movie except for It Follows and Dead & Buried but I was never a fan of It Follows. Kudos for the Dario Argento recommendation, I recently picked up 4 of his movies in one week, 3 during the Arrow sale and Suspiria as well. I also have Phenomena & Tenebrae.
On 4K I have: It Follows (best "Carpenter" horror film since Halloween), The Thing, Poltergeist and Halloween. Don't care enough for the other films to get them in 4K, although I do have the Dawn of the Dead remake and the Evil Dead trilogy in 4K. Also, I'd put Alien on the list if you're going to have The Thing. Both are Sci-Fi/Horror.
Here are mine: Shining Return of the living dead From beyond Van helsing Coppola Dracula Halloween 3 American werewolf Hellraiser Army of darkness Hansel & gretel Creepshow
the soon-to-be-released October 2023 Arrow Video UK 'Hellraiser' set The Warner Bros. release of 'The Exorcist,' whether standard 4K or ultimate editionn The Paramount release of 'Rosemary's Baby' The Paramount release of the original 1989 'Pet Sematary' film and the 2019 remake
Hmmm....and "The Exorcist" (1973) is nowhere to be seen? I agree with most of the list. But I cannot, in good conscience, purchase Kurbrick's bastardization of "The Shining" on any format, let alone 4K.
@@David25522 It's fine it's just not much better than bluray. If you have the bluray not worth upgrading for the 4k like I did. I was not impressed with the quality.

Great list Adam. I'd add American Werewolf In London personally. Solid transfer in audio and video plus a lot of really good extras. 👍 great video as usual, well done
I own two, The Shining, and The Thing, both 4k and I can testify to your superlative reviews. I have Alien 4k too and imo it should be in list:)

The thing is totally primary horror!

Excellent list Adam. I couldn't agree more... I have most of these on 4K, and they are absolutely awesome choices for the format.
You killed this list in a good way. Invisible man and evil dead rise made me like the video
you need DEMONS I and II from Arrow or Synapse on this 4k list
I think you convinced me into getting Evil dead rise. 🤣
Suspiria is one of the very best 4K’s out there. The PQ is jaw dropping beyond reference quality, and the Atmos is just out of this world.
Agree 100%
We watched Talk to Me the other night. I thought it lived up to it's hype.
Dead and Buried love! Well done sir
If you're going with The Shining than you may as well add Doctor Sleep.
The Shining is my all-time favorite horror movie, but Doctor Sleep did nothing for me.
I liked Doctor Sleep a lot. Specifically the director’s cut.
No cus doctor sleep is a snooze, and the shining is a classic.
Love Doctor sleep!
Why? It's awful lol
For me I have to include Alien, and Ringu.
Great list. I would have added the Blue Underground release of Zombie and Second Sights release of the Witch.
What was the controversy with the 4k The Thing?
It had a weird dts x mix and sounded better on the arrow 5.1
Great list!

Train to Busan is one that really stood out to me recently.
Thought it was so cool you did a footnote for Dr Sleep!!! He'll yeah.
I would Hereditary to that list.
I miss A Quiet Place 1 & 2, Alien, It 1 & 2.
I'd like to add Fright night, amityville horror and Alien 4k transfers aswell
I was surprised no mention of Jaws 4K.
Great list though, and just to add some I’d go
Scream (1996) & (2022)
Misery
Psycho (1960)
Rosemary’s Baby
The Others on Criterion 4K looks fantastic on my Sony OLED.
On 4K I have: It Follows (best "Carpenter" horror film since Halloween), The Thing, Poltergeist and Halloween. Have you reviewed cujo 4k?
Not yet, I’ll be putting up one tomorrow.
I prefer the blu ray of Halloween. The new color grade on the 4K makes it way too obvious they shot it in the summer lol.
No Alien? 😢
$40 For dead and buried, is it that good ?
And no mention of the exorcist 🤷♂️
Nope 👍

Likes stuck at 666?
Sleepy hollow
It follows has to be a government psyop because that movie was utter garbage and got hyped to no end.
You are over rating the POLTERGEIST 4k. It's better than the bluray but not by much.
Poltergeist 4K looks fine to me.
