Technically it's not an unlockable cause you can access it from the start, but The Cutting Room Floor has more info along with other stuff hidden in the game files.
My theory is the map was originally supposed to be an unlockable joke that implies the Shiba is tracking the player's movements, since you can only get it after getting the Dog ending. But they removed it because they couldn't work out the bugs in time for release. At least that's what I think.
I recently watched silent hill 2 remake trailer, I hope they can bring unlockable in remake, including dog and ufo ending, dog ending was gonna be so funny in remake, haha
Do your unlockables carry over on new game plus and can you change difficulties and still have the rewards. So can you clock easy and easy riddle then normal and normal riddle then hard and hard riddle. And can this be done with every silent hill game. Sorry I am new silent hill player clocked part 1 and now playing part 2. I just wanna know what’s the easiest way to get rewards. Or should I try and clock hard just once?
All unlockables carry over and you can change difficulties and still get the rewards. Just remember to save your results. To make sure all your stuff is getting carried over, load your "results" save before loading up a new game. Do this for every playthrough until you have everything on one save. Everything can be unlocked on easy mode except for Extra Riddle and the Green Hyper Spray. Similar logic applies to the other Silent Hill games. For Silent Hill 1 you want to start every next playthrough on Next Fear to eventually unlock everything. For Silent Hill 3, you want to select Extra New Game. Silent Hill 4 you want to select a Brand New Fear. Various things in each game can only be unlocked on certain difficulties.
@@RuminInLove thank you for that I appreciate it. The reason I asked is because I clocked hard on silent hill 1 so I never changed difficulties. It just gave me next fear mode. Thats why I was asking with Silent Hill 2 I might clock easy mode first to enjoy the game and scenes and then when I load up the clear file would it give me the option to change to normal mode after I load up the clear file. Or do I need to load the clear file then go to new game from after loading the clear filed and the rewards will still be there? I guess I am only asking because I was going hard mode and I am stuck on the part where pyramid head keeps hitting maria when your trying to escape the hospital so its annoying me. So I was just thinking maybe trying to clear easy mode first this time around
Silent Hill 1 goes up in difficulty every Next Fear game. So if you start on Easy, your next playthrough will be on Normal. Then Hard. This feature doesn't exist in any other Silent Hill game, so the difficulty you play on will always be up to you.
My ufo ending is strange. The only way to get the blue gem is to complete Maria's scenario and then start a ng+ with James. Problem is that if I start a main ng+ with James then it won't spawn the blue gem, but it spawns it when I load the Maria save then start ng, which would be fine except it doesn't carry over my endings, so when I got the ufo ending it just says I have 2/4 endings. I'm on HD collection.
Do the rebirth items override your chance of getting one of the main 3 endings? Like if you’re fully on track for “in water” but you pick those items up, will you automatically get rebirth?
No, UFO ending and Born from a Wish is in every version of the game except for original PS2 releases. So it's in PS2 greatest hits, PS2 PAL directors cut, Silent Hill 2 Saigo No Uta, Xbox version, PC version, and HD collection (though not advisable). So it's in almost every single version of the game.
@@animeloverryan85 I'd recommend you get one of the later releases (though I'd agree HD collection is not adviseable). Born From a Wish is short but very awesome, UFO ending's a nice little bonus.
Hey Rumin what kind of TV are you playing on. I'm using a shitty old lcd. The image is pretty rough. The image you have is much less jaggy. Are you using an old crtv?
I think I was playing on some random LCD when I made this video. My image is smooth because I'm playing a version of the game that has a high resolution. Quality of a direct recording is not effected by the quality of the display, so it wouldn't have made a difference if I was playing on a CRT.
When you press the aim button with 'switch' enabled you don't have to hold the button down, think of it like toggling aim off and on like a light switch. Just press the button and James will be in attack stance until you press it again. With normal control, James will be in attack stance until you let go of the aim button.
1:48 video error, it'll actually down Lying Figures. Oops.
HOW D A R E Y O U, jk great video my dude!
The minimap feature feels more like an dev tool that was left in the game by accident rather than an unlockable bonus.
It's too precise how to make it available
silent hill 2: scary, deep, surrounded with occultism, filled with monsters from one's mind, sad
also silent hill 2: D O G E
Which is good. A little break from the depressing tone of the game
I find that dog ending super hilarious. Just to think about that the whole dark drama and spooky events was a dog's set up makes me laugh 😂
2:05 moment destroyed me :D. Interesting video. I never knew that you can display mini-map, heh.
amazing content nice discovery about the map .
"james....🥺"
*PSSSSHHHHHH*
Gotta love that dog ending
there’s actually another secret on ps2 version, after getting dog ending, there’s a button combo that allows you to save anywhere
What!? 😮
Technically it's not an unlockable cause you can access it from the start, but The Cutting Room Floor has more info along with other stuff hidden in the game files.
Thank you!
A mini map!? Just shows u what else might be lying underneath other Silent Hill titles. Especially 4!
the whole game i only used the chainsaw, now it seems like people didnt notice
I guess that map is a debug feature which was left in unintentionally. Maybe.

@@RuminInLove Yeah, maybe, seeing the easter eggs in 3 and how complex they can get, this could be a possibility

Will you do the extras for silent hill 3
I already did one of those. It's titled "Silent Hill 3 100% - #14 - Unlockables".

UA-cam works in mysterious ways.
You should have more subs man
Can you explain further about what the Riddle - extra choice does? It wasn't very clear.
It's a secret riddle difficulty that aims to make the puzzles harder and even more cryptic than they were on hard riddle level :)
you should've checked if enemies show on the live map
They do. And when you kill an enemy they gray-out.
AWWWWWWWWWWWW DOGGY 💕🥰💕
Chrism, not chrimson 😂
what's the difference between weapon control normal + switch?
