I’ve had this exact model for a few years now and have used it for car cleaning and abused it doing DIY with it running for many hours dust extracting while I sanded the floor & it never let me down. If you think it’s not performing as well the bag will be full. Great vacuum.

Lovely video. Very clear, and fab camera work. I used to have a Dyson Animal, corded, great suction… but I must say I think Henry has better suction, Henry is better all round. Some of the optional Henry tools are worth it too. Airo brush, both sizes, is fab. The flexible crevasse tool is also very useful.

Love my basic Henry (no cable reel). When struggeling with ingrained sand and hair, I use a drill brush to give the performance a push.
And one last point: vacuuming the garage keeps it nice and tidy ... spider-free, no midgets, no leaves, sand and other debris. every now and then a wet-wipe and it's sparkling.😉

I worked in a very busy BMW service department as a service valeter, we used Henry hoovers, six days a week for ten hours a day, we replaced them on average every 18 months, mostly because the motor would eventually give up, 25 to 30 cars a day each with 3 of us using a Henry hoover each, for the money they are tough little hoovers.

Great little review Heather. We have one in the house that I use for detailing too, I'm not sure what model it is exactly as ours has a turbo button next to the power button which really helps on the ingrained dirt. I use the soft bristle brush alot inside the cabin but agree that the other brush doesn't work that well as it has a tendency to keep coming off.
I do agree that the hose is a real pain to store however I just wrap it around the body and tuck the nozzle under the handle. Absolutely love ours and would buy another one if and when ours dies.

The Henry Pet PET200 also comes with an EcoBrush which is narrower than the standard head and has a rotating brush bar that you do need to keep clean, and does result in more noise, but might be very useful. Plus, it's green, if you prefer a different colour to the shouty red of the original model. It's rated at 72dB but I don't know the distance they measured it at.

Not sure if they're available in the UK but here in the US I use the Ridgid 4 gal 5 hp wet/dry shop vac. I can attach my Ripclean extractor to it and have it be a dual purpose tool as well. it SUCKS in the good way haha. You can get it for ~$100 USD (~80 pounds) and on sale you can get the auto detailing kit that comes with a longer hose, attachments and couplers for the smaller diameter hose for like $30 or so. It's nice.

Trouble is they were uprights and fell over quite a bit which usually created the moment where I hoped it didnt damage the paint! @@AutoCareHQ I'm seriously considering starting a mobile valeting business. The plan is to be able to leave my current job if I have enough regular customers. There are quite a few areas where people own luxury cars local to me. I'm guessing that they would expect me to be fully self sufficient with my own water and power supply. But what if petrol power tools (like some pressure washers) are banned? I guess people will just have to be okay with their electricity being used.
I do feel quite anxious about not knowing good techniques and products to use and also if someone decides to falsely claim against me for any damages to their car. There's got to be insurance for that kind of thing?

Henry is the Don. My last one lasted 18 years befioe giving up the ghost. His happy little face whilst being all burned out and smelling like fire was a day i won't forget. Henry v2 is going strong though. The accessories are sensibly priced but if you want 3rd party there are tonnes. You can use it bagless, but recommended you don't as it will eventually help burn out your motor (not my words, the words of a local Henry restorer). Great for pet hair as my carpet vs. dog will contest. Agree with everything here. The only issue i have is as you said, the hose length means you have to drag it around the car to do each side and it can tip ove when you yank it. I have a handheld dyson, its garbage and a Dyson pet focused upright which is just no good for cars. Henry is great round the house on stairs too, it isn't heavy and as long as you can store the hose its my pick all day long, and my go to for verything, not just for cars.

Thanks for watching :) Yeah that's a very good point, loads of accessories are on the market for the hose and attachments so it'll be easy to upgrade it if I want to in the future. I used to use a Dyson as well but I think it's pretty naff too!

@@AutoCareHQ Question is, is their car cleaning accessory pack on your Xmas list? 'What pack?' she cries :D Maybe i can get you to spend your money for a change! haha. The only thing that put me off was the £45 price tag. I will def look into a longer hose though, hadn't seen one was available. (If you decide to ever need a house-hoover their turbo triangular-looking carpet head is def recommended) - although on pet hair carpet the old dyson standup is def the one. Dyson handheld one was £200 recon (same Dyson man), bought on recommendation from someone i know (thanks Mum) and turens out it has the oomph of an asthmatic sloth.
